" When I arrived at inter. I struggled at first. Then mourinho at some point benched me for a month. Now mind you I had just done a 36 goals season with barcelona. He told me" You're my best player but right now you think more about your public image than the team so sit down "
I had to work twice as hard and understand that you have to sacrifice and stop whining. I went to work and right before playing Chelsea in the CL He tells me.
" You're back in the team tomorrow. You will score and we will win the treble thanks to you "
I played. I scored. We won the treble "
Samuel eto'o.
Unfortunately this mentality is totally lost nowadays
Even if you remember Keano, as a kid in Ireland it was hard to get a move abroad the England. He asked every single club in the English for a trial and only 1 replied, Notts forest. He made an instant impression and then after a few years got a move to United and the rest in history. He attitude to be the best was unreal. Too many players want to get spoon fed these days.

yeah but is Lukaku on the level of Samuel Eto'o?? one of the greatest players ever??
Even look at the players in his current team that have had turbulence over the years. Alonso rudiger Jorginho with lampard. Even pulisic under lampard a little. Timo werner scored less than 10 league goals didn’t complain got on with it. Havertz been played in every attacking position to date so far at Chelsea don’t complain. Lukaku was being eased back into the team after a bit of a bad injury and he does this silly interview 😂😂 never wanted him back and when he’s in the team we are very one dimensional and easy to understand our attack. When he’s out it’s great free flowing football. I don’t see how he can come back from this tuchel has dealt with mbappe and neymar in terms of egos he will not be bullied and we as fans need to side with him and I do. Lukaku bang out of order hold your tongue out on the work and it will come
Difference between him and Werner. Werner didn’t pity himself and said he’ll work harder to do everything he can. Lukaku threw his toys out and caused all this issue
Thats why majority of chelsea fans still love werner
You can add every other Chelsea player in addition to Werner. 1) Havertz - surely not happy with how things have gone, never complains or slates the club in the media 2) Rudiger - In the midst of a contentious contract negotiation, never complains or shows up the club in the media 3) Pulisic - has been played out of position all year and again never complains 4) Ziyech - he’s gotta be frustrated with how things are going, again doesn’t go to the media to complain. I could go on.
The other difference is that Werner can't score at all 😂
@@hycho8925 doubt they loved him when he was blanking last season

From a Manchester united fan at first I blamed ole for selling him but now I know why was the right decision..he's a mercenary like Mario balotelli only bothered about money in the bank dosnt care who he plays for as long as he gets his cash

Inter won the league and basically said we’re gonna rebuild hence why Conte left
@@iv899 I'd hardly consider it rebuilding. We had to offload 1 or 2 players and couldn't spend big in the summer.
Conte wanted to spend more and felt Inter weren't matching his ambition.
Inter sold Hakimi and were considering selling Lautaro before Lukaku put his hand up to go Chelsea.
Don't get me wrong. All 3 of them were huge for us. But the ironic thing is we're just as good without them.
As a Chelsea fan, Tuchel 100 percent did the right thing. You have to cut out ego from the club before it gets out of hand. If he wants to go in the summer then fine. I doubt inter would want him though especially with the way he left and the way they are doing well
He did that with every club he's been
If only I was a Chelsea fan. I’m jealous I can’t come to that conclusion.
He left inter cause of the money problems they were having if ya actually knew anything 🤣
@@aidenchambers3914 No he didn't. Inter generated enough money to be financially clear with the Hakimi transfer.
Inter then received this outlandish offer for Lukaku while Chelsea doubled his wages, no way Lukaku and Inter would've rejected this offer.

Firstly what did he actually say that was so bad. Secondly he didn't want to leave Inter, Thay had to sell him due to financial reasons. Thirdly most clubs around Europe would still take him

Dont think I've even seen anyone defending Lukaku, let alone Chelsea fans like myself. Everyone's tired of player power and egos, it hurts as a Chelsea fan because now we know everything he said about the club previously was just a lie. Lukaku can never come back from this for me, he should apologise and even if he does, it will never be the same. Never seen a player do this in such a short tenure, disgraceful. Also Tuchel has had to deal with big egos already at PSG and even, to some extent, Dortmund. We have to back Tuchel, no matter what, no player is bigger than the club or the gaf.
He would do well well to have a coffee and chat with Jimmy Floyd and the Drog, about how to be a top striker and win and be liked. I don't think so. Lukaku is just not one of them. The winners by and large have the best attitudes. Look at the Liverpool and City players; they all have great attitudes.

Well said bro
We were absolutely not fine without a proper centre forward. Havertz was a ghost today (although I like him), Pulisic clearly can't play false 9, and Odoi isn't providing anything through the middle. He was man of the match for a reason the previous two games, he absolutely bullied everyone on the opposition team, he knows where to be, he knows how to finish, and he's a threat that nobody else in the team can match. We win against Liverpool if he played today. I'm fine with a draw and a lesson learned from him, but only because the title race is already dead.
I think now that the hierarchy at inter no of lukaku wants to rejoin them they don't have the huge money to pay I think they will try to pull of a loan deal
Did not expect this from a professional like lukaku. Tuchel made the right choice. No player is bigger than the club. He should be fined and he owes everyone at chelsea an apology, especially the fans. Way out of order but he can still salvage his career at chelsea if he wants to.

The thing is, and I'm only speaking at it from a Man Utd supporter's point of view when Lakaku was at United. It seems to me that this is more focus on starpower in the games than getting the results and being a team-player. Regardless of how it went down with United: Lakaku was a respectable player when he played for us, scored a reasonable amount of goals over those two seasons he was there, but when it was getting to the point where it felt he wanted to go to another club because of either the money was better, or the conditions were right for him whether it was due to lack of game time, or disputes with Ole or any other related reason: it makes it sound like the player is bigger than the club. That should NEVER be the case from any player at any club, and (forgive me for bringing this into the fold) this is why we have an issue with Pogba at this stage currently. Too many egos in clubs and are focusing more on the status of themselves rather then the team.
Regardless of any club, the #1 rule is: Leave your egos at the door. If you don't like the situation, you change it either on the training grounds or you get advisement from the coaching staff and the gaffer/manager. Lakaku could have stayed at Inter if he wanted to, won Serie A last season, close to have won the Europa League etc. If he stayed, he may have made more success than all the clubs he's been to combined.
Where is the interview?
Tuchel done the right thing simple as that, you have to be able to deal with these big ego players
Players like Pogba and lukaku deserve to be in the Italian league, playing with players that make them look good, players that are below their level so they can try things and feel like they’re on top of the world. In the premier league they’ve been exposed to us and it showed us that they’re not as good as they think they are which is the reality. They just need to go back to the old man’s league and do their fancy tricks and run past old defenders to build their ego
Somehow you've mentioned pogba when he has nothing to do with this and has never done anything even like this
But sure let's just hate on the easy scapegoat
@@ayaanlatif2296 yeah it’s deffo Pogbas fault
Why's Carra looking at the camera like David Brent in the thumbnail? 😂😂
It's so funny how ppl said Lukaku will play good for Chelsea.. One of the best transfer of the year they said.. But for me I know he will like this from the first time when Chelsea was rumored to bring back Lukaku.. His time finished in PL especially after Man U.. I don't understand why Chelsea got the idea to bring back him.. He's good for Inter.. But not good enough for Chelsea...
Fair play to Tuchel. Wished past United managers would've done the same thing with Pogba.
Pogba doesnt perform and doesnt publicly complain
Lukaku performs and publicly complains
Those 2 have nothing in common.
"You have to think where Pogba is in all of this. Surely, he has to take some responsibility for it" -Souness
Wasn’t the interview a while back when he got injured
Just imagine if Pogba did this :))
Souness would be steaming from the ears 🤣
Carra's face after he gets interrupted LOL
I can't believe how worked up some fans and pundits are getting over this! Storm in a tea cup!
Sometimes journalists have to direct players speech when they are interview to avoid this kind of problem
1:38 Jamie's reaction 😂😂
Lakaku put his foot in it. We’ve all been there
Sky acting like they didn’t know what they weee doing
“U have to manage how u think u have to manage”
Incredible analysis here Floyd
Quite clearly about how you have to stick to your principles, no?
@@mattiasengqvist5450 I’m not sure how else one could manage, other than managing how one thinks one can.
newcastle have a quality player to foster their attack
Lowkey agree with Carra here. I don't think it's that "big of a deal" tbh, unlucky it was just said. But the risk is this could be severly blown out of proportion.
Lukaku could have said all of this in a private conversation with Tuchel and nothing would happen. What he said wasn't wrong, it's who he said it too
The biggest mistake any footballer can make is express their feelings when talking to the media. Because all the journalists will rub their hands together and go: "What story can we make out of this?"
This makes me appreciate someone like Werner more, got his head down & is an unselfish team player, Lukaku needs to grow up
Werner is not good enough to be selfish. 🤣
What did he say in the interview? I've totally missed it
I really don't want him to leave he is our best attacker
yes HE is good attacker AND good 2 assit for city when he play for MU
Being a united fan i actually appreciate what Chelsea is doing compared to what united did deaing with Pogba
Spot on..they are best mates...
Can do a swap deal for Ajeti if they want?
They’d rather have Kemar Roofe tbh
@@DayDay1991 so would I…
Hmm, actually, I’m not sure. Both are bang average.
that face carra made🤣🤣
Carragher looks like he's about to ask me out for a coffee in that thumbnail.
Souness: “We have to ask how exactly does Paul Pogba fit into all of this?”
dead joke
Who? does he still play for Man United hard to tell 🤣
@@Silver-st2zq has he ever played for united? I thought he just warmed up for 90 mins every week. 😂
I'm curious to see if Carragher would still consider it not too be a "big deal" if it was Salah who did all this. Talking about how he loves the club and wants to retire there just to do an interview behind everyones back and say that he's only saying that to get paid and actually wanted to move away to the best clubs, in other words, not Liverpool.
Louis Suerez refused to play and demanded to go to Arsenal... it wasn't a big deal. Diego costa did that too.
I doubt Carragher be saying its no big deal if it was El Hadji Diouf. Him and Gerrard be the first at his front door.
Jamie's point made, second last point of the video, is exactly how I see the situation. Also Souness' point about Lukaku not playing off the back of the ankle injury, because Lukaku is a huge guy no way an ankle roll left him out for more than a month, which he was.
This is a Chelsea fan writing, and to me Tuchel did what needed to be done, he did the right thing: no one, no player is bigger than Chelsea, no player is bigger than any club. Lukaku has to apologize to the team, to the coach and the fans for what he said. If he feels that he didn't say anything wrong, he can go back to Inter and everything will be fine, he can go to Tottenham so he can be comfotable the way Conte plays his teams. Chelsea and the Premier League needs the very best and this kind of attitude is untolerable. If Lukaku wants to score 50+ goals, he can go back to Inter, Madrid or Barcelona, or any league where only one or three teams have good odds to have a good championship run. And I'd like to apologize to all Premier League fans for Lukaku's comments, we had great expectations on him and we didn't realize he was gonna do this kind of actions. The Premier League don't deserve this kind of drama, it deserves good football, exciting championship runs and a healthy sportmanship culture.
we would’ve booed him today if he was playing , tuchel did the right thing.
He said the truth. It's better than the normal bs said by players now a day
@@blessonwilson4224 it’s disrespectful and unprofessional though, plus it was unnecessary to mention that stuff while chelsea was having a tough month
Souness watching this back and wondering how he didn’t find a way to blame Pogba for this
Pogba convinced him to move to United, so I could see him using that
Jokes aside, Souness was right and Pogba will leave on a free transfer this summer as United's worst ever signing. A disaster from start to finish.
Like Tuchel said" No Player is Bigger than the Club" Wit that being said I 100 percent agree wit him💯❤
He’s welcome at Elland Road we need a goal scorer
It was definitely the right thing to do. When there's a troublemaker in the club, whether they're your best player or worst, you have to be decisive.
Unbelievable behaviour from Lukaku. I personally would never do such a thing.
haha
Goddammit, the pot calls the kettle black (I was lookingat your nickname)!!!
With the fans he’s burnt his bridges and there is no way back. Even if he smashed 30 goals the rest of the season it won’t make a difference. He crossed the line and fans don’t forget that
Are you one of the fans ?
Graham being Graham lol
Don’t see why everyone making a big deal about this, it said how he feels (the truth) and everyone saying he shouldn’t have, he should have lied (are we serious)… he scored in matches after this interview which clearly shows he’s professional enough to do his job even though he’s not happy with the role he is now given
