Girl I gave up on the "spice cabinet" and moved all my spices to the drawer beside my stove. I can open the drawer, look down at all of them at once, and the empty spot is where is goes when I return it. It works soooooo much better!
Tip for skirt slits… I have had a seamstress put a piece of eyelet fabric in a slit that was too high and she did it accordion-style so that it was flexible. Worked out wonderfully.
This was SO motivating! I love how it's nothing crazy ... A few new baskets here, hangers there, and labels for toys, but it sure does make ALL the difference!
Awwww, I love that your friend had the kids so close! Sounds like our 1999! Son born in January and then 9 months, 3 weeks later, our daughter was born! Definitely like twins, Hard, but yet, made it easier too! Bottles together, diaper changes together, feeding together, potty training together, etc, etc, etc. They literally were INSEPERABLE! BEST FRIENDS. Then into their teens, went thru a spell, avoided/hated each other, but now... both are 23 and close again! 💖💖
I have 4 grown kids, but my middle two boys are Irish twins. For a week out of every year they are the same age. They are 31 and 32 now, and have always been best friends and still hang out together all the time even now that they have families. They act more like twins than regular brothers. They even had their own language when they were little 😃
Love this ❤ I just went through and minimized my 4 kids’ wardrobes and toys big time. Then I organized the school room. It has made everything so much more pleasant and manageable.
Dana K White; The Secret Slob; The Minimal Mom; Clutterbug; Simply Life and Minimalist Home all say set an alarm for 5, 10, 15, 0r whatever minutes you have to spare to declutter. Don't stress out by trying to do it in a day and feel you failed when you can't complete the project. I love Dana K White's method the most for decluttering because you don't have a mess to clean up if you get interrupted in the process. Hope this helps! God bless you and yours! Love the spice cabinet organization. One suggestion/ idea if you haven’t tried it would be to alphabetize the spices. It sounds silly, but I can’t believe how handy it is. Also, if you have duplicate spices, something I’ve found to be helpful is to check the expiration date and then take a small piece of masking tape and write number one on the bottle that needs to be used first.
@@MeganFoxUnlocked I have my spice shelves labeled "A-L", etc. So, I at leat know what shelf to look through. But, I also have a shelf labeled "Baking Spices." You could have a "Most Used" category. And, I got the same type of jars for Christmas.
We do this label system! I used a laminator and velcro dots. So our "morning" boxes can be switched out. But all of our toys and books are rotated out. You will love this!! My 3 year old puts it back perfectly each time.
Last week while decluttering, I finally decided to get rid of our ENTIRE collection of greeting cards (cards/letters from my husband were the exception :). We literally had hundreds that dated back to 2005--from Christmas, to birthday, graduation, even wedding. I held onto them over the years because of guilt, but I can't tell you how incredibly liberating it was to finally part ways with them 😊
Hi Megan. little tip to save you cropping your screen shots you can use the snipping tool which has the shortcut shift, windows, s. this allows you to select just the area on the screen you want to copy it will mean not having to crop out the rest of the screen. As a teacher I love the snipping tool use it all the time when creating lesson slides, and resources. It was my favourite thing I learnt on my course :) I love a good sort out but I do get that 'why did I start this' moment part way through. Well done for getting it all done, its a great feeling when it all looks pretty at the end isn't it? :)

@MeganFoxUnlocked don’t throw away the tajin seasoning just yet, try to it used on sliced fruit, some good options are mangos and watermelon with lime juice, it so good during the hot summer. Typically we don’t use tajin to season meats or other cooking.

I love New Creation Apparel for skirts. They focus more on maxi skirts, but that's handy here in the winter, and they do a good job not making them constricting or hard to walk in. My favorite thing is that they offer 3 lengths in most of their skirts, so I can actually get LONG maxi skirts. They also have a really nice line of maternity options.
I am watching this in bed at 10pm and literally got out of bed and went and decluttered an emptied a tote of old cake decorating supplies (some went out of date 2 years ago!! Haven't touched it in forever!) and decluttered an entire kitchen trash bag full of clothes from my closet!!! Thank you for the motivation!! God bless you Megan! Lol

They are also the exact size of a standard loaf of store bought bread and keep any critters out. You can even use them for shoes, lol. And the labels really do peel off easily wth no residue. Your idea of picture and text labels is brilliant and a great tool for teaching little kids to read! This is my favorite video of yours so far. i'm looking forward to see what works in your organizing journey.

I found that getting rid of the plastic hangers and replacing them with all of the same color velvet hangers makes the closet look so organized! I bought a large set of Joy Mangano Huggable hangers, and have decluttered so much that half of the hangers are empty! Nice job! Love organizing videos!
No toys in my house anymore but organizing is a must and I need to be better at getting rid of things. Miller was just too cute and that little voice mama at lunch. When I get home today my planner will be waiting for me yay! Thanks for sharing as always. Blessings
I do something similar with toys in 5 year olds bedroom. She has a small case with dish pans for the toys, labeled with googled pics of the toy category and packing tape. She can easily throw everything back in at the endnof the day and not worry about lids that she can't do on her own or something askew so lid wouldn't close. Cas from Clutterbug and Dawn the minimal mom have been life savers when it comes to decluttering and organizing!
So glad you got the skirt hangers. Last time I watched your closet clean out video(probably 2 years ago) I was thinking “how can she have her skirts draped over like that?” They definitely look so much prettier on the beautiful wood hangers and I bet they will be less wrinkled too. I have been watching different channels that have reorganized the spice cabinet to decide what I want to do too. I’ve been dreaming of a pretty and functional system for a few years. I am also trying to reorganize stuff in our house. I have a spice drawer in my kitchen and am able to have all of the containers in alphabetical order, which really helps!! I also use glass jars. We hope you and your family have a happy and healthy 2023!!!
I have decluttered the spice cabinet multiple times since my husband moved to Kazakhstan in Jan. 2019. I finally, got a spice lazy susan and have been very happy. The majority of the spices are ones that I use, and there are a few that my husband uses. I figure when he returns for good to the US in June 2025, we can update the spice cabinet/lazy susan as needed at that time. I love my baskets that seem to be the same size as the ones you used in your bathroom. They are about 9" wide and keep items contained.
Now I need to get my closet organized yours is so big and I love those hangers! Now that Christmas is over I plan to start decluttering and deep cleaning!
The first summer after we moved from Pa to Florida we had a terrible ant infestation in our house. Everything in the pantry had to be thrown away.They were in the trash cans - even all over the dirty laundry.Well, that summer QVC made a fortune off me because I purchased so many pantry size sets of lock & lock. Now every item in my pantry is in a lock & lock., except the canned items or the spices - I only buy spices in glass jars with tight lids.If I need to buy spices in the paper envolope like taco seasoning for example, I put that envelope into a zip lock bag and once opened any remaining is thrown away. I also went from an open basket in my closet for laundry to a hamper that seals closed.Even the trash is now in a container that seals closed that I got at The Container Store.
Evonnie was a sweetie to tidy up the living area for you, she has a great example from you. Wrapped Christmas presents and kiddos, oh the temptation, looks like Miller got curious😊. Happy Birthday Megan🥳. One of my great Aunties died in 2021 at age 106, you still feel old?😄

I need to organize my spice rack!! I have one of those counter ones that spin that came with spices. I don’t use all the spices it came with and I still have spices in my cabinet! I should empty out the spices I don’t use and fill them up with spices I do use and relabel them! Winter goal!

Tajin can be great on certain things but definitely not on others. We use it mainly on corn, but I've heard it tastes great on watermelon and citrus fruits as well.

I need to organize my spice rack!! I have one of those counter ones that spin that came with spices. I don’t use all the spices it came with and I still have spices in my cabinet! I should empty out the spices I don’t use and fill them up with spices I do use and relabel them! Winter goal!

Tajin can be great on certain things but definitely not on others. We use it mainly on corn, but I've heard it tastes great on watermelon and citrus fruits as well.
