You know, more than anything else about this channel, I appreciate that you trust your audience. You don't follow a lot standard retention practices and it's so refreshing. You let the story play out at an appropriate pace. It's one of the major selling points about your channel for me.
Dear Bill, I recently went to the local equivalent of the pound shop, and was very excited to come home with those half-beads you use so often. Also, there are lots of other youtubers out there making stuff with 3-d printers. Personally, I find the way you craft super interesting, a lot more accessible to someone like me who doesn't have one and probably won't ever learn 3-d modeling, and who generally likes to upcycle "junk". For selfish reasons, I hope you will continue to do your mad scientist style attic-grunge-crafting. Happy making!
I don't know what Game war shop or warm harmer is. But I like your floppy hair and your voice that sends me to sleep. Thank you Bill, keep filming yourself making stuff I don't understand,. You calm me in a world I grow less to comprehend by the day. xx
Bill, your point about watching someone 3D print something is the exact reason why I'm not as interested in so many other popular crafting channels! I like watching crafting videos for kitbashing and greebling and making stuff out of garbage, it's what appeals to me about the hobby. I like the creativity of looking at an old deodorant bottle and making it into a cool spaceship. It feels accessible, tactile, and inspiring in a way that 3D modeling and printing it in an expensive piece of machinery doesn't.
The painting section is never boring for me, I always enjoy your videos. I'm also glad that you introduced us to Dan Does, both of your channels are a huge source of inspiration for me.
I'd definitely recommend cutting away a small amount of the green stuff where the two parts are touching in the strip. It's usually already reacted to some extent and can easily lead to lumps in your projects! Better is if you get it in two parts rather then a combined strip, then no worries about it having some of it pre-cured for your inconvenience.
YOU are the 3d printer. Best kind! I think a 3d printer on this channel would subtract from the charm. Thanks for being you, in all your mysterious forms!
Offering to let us send you anything seems like the precursor to a "weird stuff I've been sent" episode. Good ol' Bill. Always planning ahead. But seriously, I don't care how nice of a note you get with, don't keep any fingers someone sends you. Never know where they stuck them before putting them in the box.
I don't think I've watched a single one of your videos that hasn't at the very least made me snort hard enough to hurt. Your humour and delivery are always on point.
These scarecrow are taking the characteristics of crabs/hermits...so do they go around looking for spare parts like how hermits go around and changing their shells. Also the exosuits are grown not built.
The coloring part is always most impressed!!! The way you combine colors together is briliant!!! Such a great work! Thanks for being a huge imspiration for me!
The final miniature looks even creepier, because of how small his torso seems to be. It's like he not only amputate his legs, but a part of pelvis too. Some nice crisp bodyhorror stuff 🤌
This was a halmark BMS episode! All the best features plus new intro plus watercolors PLUS pre1990s technology. Blessings from our magnanimous creator.
Hey Bill, while we are on the texture roll and crab texture bit, you could make a texture roll using those ball point tools (commonly used for nail polish art). Simply make a bunch of dents using various sizes on a blob of greenstuff, and the result is pretty much what you had on paper, boils and barnacles. Very easy and usefull! Love those watercolors, bye!
I like the way you planned the miniature using the body and then putting the cocktail sticks around it on a piece of paper to see what it looks like. Also liked the method for making the hands/ claws. Regards Lexi.
If you mix up too much Greenstuff, you can roll it into a ball and stick it in the freezer. It'll make it so can thaw and use the GS the next day. The longest I've had it be workable is three days after.
Brilliant episode, as usual. Your so right about the 3D printers. I'm sick of youtubers with their laser cutters and 3d printers. Us poor mortals can't afford them. I really appreciate you keeping it real. Thanks Bill.
6:45 "Lose the arm." "Well done Tories." It is sad because it is true. What a freaky mini, no wonder no-one wants to share a pint with him; though I guess he is popular with anyone trying to get the top off a pickle jar.
The leftover greenstuff or other clay stuff I use I generally either put into a mould or wrap it around an old pen/pencil/stick to make a texture roller, I definitely feel less guilty about wasting it that way. Definitely look into silicone moulds made for cakes and stuff they're definitely the more useful ones.
i got sad and stopped painting minis...then when i came back to the hobby my paints had dried up making me more sad. still a fun hobby and i like that most are just grey.
You should make a sketchbook tour video sometime, you're drawing/ planning is always very inspiring for me! And you're world building, it's exciting to see it grow 😄
Bill, you've opened Pandora's Bitz Box. You have to make a CAT print now. I know i'd get it for sure, and im sure most of us would actually. That rustbot with the sword and board is dope too, kind of really want it now. As far as the suit goes, you should check out a game called "The Surge", you might dig the design as the armor sets looked like a dude rolled in the smash pit of a junkyard while covered in superglue.
I love all your creations! I’ve been trash bashing for a long time but took a break for a while cause I had a hard time finding inspiration. You make me want to get back in to it again and you give me so much inspiration! Thank you
Aaah this is so cool! Your worldbuilding ideas are always so inspiring for my own :D Always kinda liked the idea of organic "mech" suits or armor suits, and this iteration, with the operator having to sacrifice parts of their own body cause they were not made for humans is genious! Also, when I saw the mini on instagram, I thought the hands/claws were actually made out of other minis' arms or legs!
Great video, again, as usual! Thanks for not participating in this weird trend and putting your face with an absolutely not exaggerated look in the thumbnail, these are creepy af anyways. Also thanks for crafting the miniture, it is indeed a lot more entertaining to me at least.
I know you were going for crab like but it also has a cool volcanic rock look to it as well like a pumice stone. Could be rock aliens like the Horta from Star Trek TOS Awesome build as always
Basically an organic zombie exo-skeleton then Bill ..... well he'd half to be a zombie type scarecrow who hacks his own arms and legs off.... or maybe he gets his mates to do it after a drunken nights brawl.... after they find the suit that is ?
Get your ass to Mars! (Cool regular Bill vid as well, but it really made me want to watch Total Recall - the modern version is good too BTW - different but good)
Aw heck yeah, I'm always down for any kind of biotech. The grungier the better. Also on the subject of the 3D printer, I don't mind when channels use it but I prefer seeing what people can do without one. I'm not likely to have one anytime soon (or ever, really) so as cool as it is, it's not really something I can apply to my own stuff.
I like the idea that this particular "Scarecrow" was found half dead, missing most of his limbs. The warlord who found him pressganged the poor guy into service. Less "get in this suit or I'll kill you", and more "it's either get in the suit, or I'll leave you on the streets". Wasn't much of a decision, really. But, as with the zombie torso that was used to make this mini, the guy still had one arm. So, to get his exo-suit, he had to have his last functional limb amputated. The warlord is gone now, killed in one of the junkland wars. Now the Scarecrow, like many of his surviving compatriots, are left to fend for themselves.
Great build! Definitely subbed. I started sculpting mini's about 2 months ago and was under the impression that everyone in the crafts just used green stuff to make them. I really love working with it though, the minis can take heavy abuse when it's fully cured and it doesn't break easily since it's very elastic. I have made some very thin cloaks on some of my miniatures that hold their shape very well after curing at the proper angle. You can use a piece of polymer clay to stick the mini on nearly any surface and let gravity do the work for some good results.
I love your work Cat! I mean Bill! (yea him too). Honestly as great as 3d printing is, You still are limited to what stl files people have made, and the printer resin is hard to work with if you want to chop it up for conversions. I don't think its better or worse just another tool in the hobby toolbox.
I have found that if I take a moment to think about how much greenstuff I will actually use before I get started, and then mix up half that amount, I only have a little excess left over when I am done.
Very cool exp suit. You are absolutely right about the 3d printer. They make cool stuff but are boring to watch, and most of us don't have one anyways.
Yaaaay I missed you!! (I’ve been painting my kitbashed lizard people) I’ve been meaning to do exactly this with some leftover troll hands i have, thank you for the inspiration! Your whole process amazes me as always :)
Love it! Need it! Would love a 8 to 9 in action figure of this. 20 centimeters ya know. Why do i have the feeling that there's a "like your dad" joke in there.

Regular Bill is my fav Bill. You nailed the look on this one man!
Thanks mate
"Total Recall" (the REAL one...not that abomination of a remake). Nice. Bill's a man of taste and refinement.

that's what makes me less interested in other channels, i don't have my own 3d printer so can't really do it myself.
Thank you for not doing 3d printing excessively on this channel. Love it
The painting section is never boring for me, I always enjoy your videos. I'm also glad that you introduced us to Dan Does, both of your channels are a huge source of inspiration for me.
I agree! the best thing ever would be a "primer spin compilation"
I love the painting! Send them to me
Part of me thinks Dan Does is just Bill doing another character. I have trust issues. 😅
Something I've seen mini youtubers recommend with excess green stuff is to use a tube roller to make loads of tubes.
You can never have enough tubes!
You could make the suits a part of the scarecrows' culture, like a rite of passage or some sort of ceremony where they earn their suit.
Gorgeous mini. Watching the zenithal prime bring everything together is just *chef's kiss* magic.
I had a TV like that when I finally got my own room growing up.
YOU are the 3d printer.

I think a 3d printer on this channel would subtract from the charm.

Great episode, thatk you for your conent)
That guy looks great, Bill! I concur that watching 3d printing wouldn't be good entertainment. Love your style!
I'm new to sculpting little creatures and found this so informative. Thank you for sharing. 😊

I personally think this is your best figure to date.... this thing is awesome.
She's hideous and beautiful. Not only does the junk building make for a better video as you said, but you also get a totally original finished object
Getting some "Shakara: the Destroyer" vibes off the crab suit, I like it! Great build!
Looking forward to you drawing Cat like those French girls! The build in fine, too.
Turns out that Bill doesn’t just make stuff, he also sketches stuff really well.
Love the Lore!

Another great creation, love the way the hands ended up
I still watch vhs taps because there is something special about it for me
As we all know, Bill's favorite material to work with is hot glue. I think that we are about due for a monster made entirely of hot glue
I'd genuinely love to see this world you've created become a TV series
It’s like Adam Smasher if he was designed by HR Giger. Love it

I think milliput and greenstuff mixed together is the best way to use both although milliput by itself is perfect for filling gaps.
The mini looks class man,the lore really brings it to another level though.
