- I got the ’Chorus Jig’ from vol II of ‘A Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs’ by James Aird (1782). I know of a 7-part version of the tune in the Goodman manuscripts and a 3-part version in O’Neill’s. Although (to my ear anyway) this much earlier 5-part version is by far the nicest. Just a perfect tune for pipes. Played here on the c. 1760 C# set made by Egan of Dublin and restored by Sam Lawrence.
You know when some music just speaks to your soul, this is it.
Very nice indeed. Lovely and smooth.
I shall drink to your future success, thanks for sharing this piece.
Beautiful! 👏👏👏
Very much so.
Nine points of roguery
Beautiful tune it would go really well with “pipe on the hob”
