Basically, Filipinos are fans of extremes in all flavors. If a dish is sweet, we like it to be really sweet. If it's sour, we like it really sour. If it's salty, we like it really salty, etc. You get the idea.
OMG SERIOUSLY 2/10 LANG YUNG GRAVY?!??!!!?!! 😳 Ginagawa ko nga yang sabaw sa kanin ko eh everytime kakain ako doon. Sometimes gravy lang, sapat na kahit walang ulam hahahahahahabahahaahaha! Anyways, we all have different taste buds 😂 thanks for trying filipino food ✨
I don't think the people are sweet! My family left philippines when I was 8, going back there in the last 17 years looking similar to the people but still different because of clothing style, language and seemingly lost...they're not sweet at all. Very judgmental, they know you're not from the country. I try to blend in so I can get the 'real prices' on items but when my phone rang and it was my sister on the phone I spoke english with an aussie accent. They went from wanting to charge me 80 pesos to 150 pesos after the phone call. I'm glad tourists have a great time though. I personally love the food and shopping, just not the general public.
PatsieVideosDoom Filipinos are judgemental whether youre a foreigner or not. I would give examples but im too lazy😂 Also no offense to my fellow Filipinos
It's been a favorite since. McDonald's invasion has not stopped Jollibee bc most Filipinos prefer Jollibee. Well, personally for me, it's tastes better than McDs but I do eat at McDs as well. They're both good it's just that Jollibee's like a trademark for us :) And Filos mostly have a sweeth tooth and at times, theyd like something too salty. Weird but yeah. Glad you liked it! :)
ryescake Me and my boyfriend go to McDonald's when we're not that hungry. We'll just order chocolate hot fudge sundae or strawberry, large fries and cheeseburger. But if we are really hungry like crazy, we go to Jollibee!!! 2pc. Chicken with rice + extra rice, large fries, cheeseburger, and spaghetti. Damn. Now, I feel hungry.
actually why the spaghetti is sweet bec. first of all jollibee marketing target the filipino kids thats why jollibee is the name and the food has a little sweetier thats why they popular right away with filipino bec. they precisely hit the taste buds of every filipino....
UGH AT 0:01 MY MOUTH STARTED WATERING I LOVE JOLLIBEE!! You have so much choices and all of them are good!! Personally love Palabok, Coke Float, Fries, All Pies ACTUALLY EVERYTHING
Major Dilemma The over reaction from your reply is unreal... she didn't try to bash her, she just thought that maybe Simona's not a fan of sweet food, because, you know, there's this thing called *"preference"*. Chill...
No. Not really..... Most Asian food I've had are not sweet like the spaghetti from Jolibees. Some are sweet, but not the same way Philpinos like it like ttoeboekki, pad thai, Tawainese sweet pork, etc. Philipino food is just sweet all around, whether it be the sauce, protein, or carbs. I'm also Asian.
simona also, go and try other pinoy dishes. check my channel out. the PH is known to have the best lechon, whole roasted pig. :) or any pork dish is good. just posted a video with pig ears. :)
Saludo talaga ako sa mga staff JOLLIBEE. Nong papasok palang ako sinabihan na ako ng "Welcome to Jollibee Sir." Tapos pagkalabas ko sinabihan na naman ako ng "Balik ulit kayo sir, ingat po." Kaya sa susunod dun ulit ako tatae.😅
hahaha! for Filipino Kids, it's the gravy that gives that magical taste to Jollibee fried chicken.. most of us grew up with it and requesting for cup(s) refill of gravy at the counter is one of those best childhood memories. well anyway, i'm 33 and I still do that! LOL!
Jollibee is so irresistible and delicious everyday there's tons of people in Jollibee EDIT: If this was my breakfast everyday, I'd wake up early happily every morning MACARONI SOUP: Is called "Sopas" here i love it!! 15:53 that reaction..

Same here I'm a filipino and I don't like eating too much sweet or too sweet stuffs, but I still definitely enjoy it. That peach mango is absolutely all time fav even among the foreigners. I swear I could eat 10 of it in one go.
Well, Jollibee was originally made in the Philippines. So, compared to... let's just say, a US Dollar, a dollar would be at least ₱51 this year. Every year, the currency either goes up or goes down for us. So... I guess if you buy something that costs less than ₱50 in Jollibee is less than a dollar.
Saw this and now become a fan. I might even be stalking her from now on. I just love how she eat 😂 those big bites are so genuine to me. Plus im loving the accent ❤️️
A lot of Filipino words have the same spelling but different in meaning and (most) pronunciation. tira (leftovers, could also mean the act of leaving leftovers) is pronounced with the stress on the /ra/ whereas tira (shoot verb, could also mean the noun shot) stresses the /ti/. There you go! 2 different words, same spelling, different meanings and pronunciation
simona it also means "hit", "shoot", "to mess with", and "f*ck". Visit Lucena if you ever had free time we have a lot of secret beaches and a busy night life.
simona 🤗🙋🏻🙋🏻that would be awesome! Just watched all your vids. Love all of them! ..and oh the humour! Yes! Haha Hope you have a lovely stay there and keep safe especially its gonna be rainy season soon. X
Basically, Filipinos are fans of extremes in all flavors. If a dish is sweet, we like it to be really sweet. If it's sour, we like it really sour. If it's salty, we like it really salty, etc. You get the idea.
The funny thing is that I had Jollibee for lunch.

Jollibee is like 10/10 for everthing. Like everything.
+Kaye Vannessa Espinosa I think eventually I'll be giving everything 11/10. Jollibee has me hooked.

Kaye Vannessa Espinosa nope. not for all.
I drink the gravy from its container, I'm guilty :(
OMG SERIOUSLY 2/10 LANG YUNG GRAVY?!??!!!?!! 😳 Ginagawa ko nga yang sabaw sa kanin ko eh everytime kakain ako doon. Sometimes gravy lang, sapat na kahit walang ulam hahahahahahabahahaahaha! Anyways, we all have different taste buds 😂 thanks for trying filipino food ✨

Well, there is the double standard of the Pinoys! Can't blame you for feeling that way. It does happen. Sorry to hear this from a Filipino.
PatsieVideosDoom Filipinos are judgemental whether youre a foreigner or not.
I would give examples but im too lazy😂 Also no offense to my fellow Filipinos
Jollibee is catered towards kids. So, that's one of the reasons why most of the food are sweet. :)

simona yeah lol people just have their own level of pallete and we all have our own strongest part of our taste bud..just like when people gets color blind.. i don't know but so yeah i actually did not grown up with it.. but that gravy is,indeed kind a alittle salty i never taste that it was sweet.. maybe because you ate the cheesy Corn first..but lol you are 100% right the breads are sweet 😢😪😪 and also you are the first ever person that i heard.. you choose to eat the sweet one's first lol (does that mean you eat dessert first before the main course?)was thinking.. maybe you ate the sweet one first that's why your taste bud triggered your sweet senses.. but hey anyway you look soo sweet 😍❤ good food review 🎉🌹
Charsgil Sandoval She ate the "Savory" things first. She said the desserts to be "leg/league of the journey".
Same here I'm a filipino and I don't like eating too much sweet or too sweet stuffs, but I still definitely enjoy it. That peach mango is absolutely all time fav even among the foreigners. I swear I could eat 10 of it in one go.
hahaha im glad you enjoyed that!!! we should collab!!!! are you still here in the ph?
+Ana Victorino OMG NO WAY. YES AND YES!! 💜💜
Nandito ako
At the same time I am paying $7 for a burger at McD's (and over $12 elsewhere) here in Australia.
+BrightBlue1111 unbelievable, right?!
BrightBlue1111 then in the Philippines, Burger steak costs ₱50 and a chicken is ₱70. If you convert it to dollars, that's fucking cheap!
A Jollibee yum Burger costs, ₱30. Convert it and it's so cheap. Even a coke costs a penny in dollars.
U should be eating them while they are HOT
+EE E I know right?!
you can give me your "tira" or leftover i can eat it in no time
+Franzy Franzy "tira" = leftover? Is that Tagalog? I'll try to remember that!
simona yes its tagalog
Josh Careras it's a different term beshie. 😂
