Apple really phoned this one in. With only updating this iPad every 3-4 years, I was hoping for more than a chip bump. A brighter screen with maybe 90hz refresh would have made a world of difference to me. This one's a major skip!
i've seen several videos on this iPad and I must say that this video is by far the best one! i love how you went into depth on lots of things that I wouldn't have thought about like how loud the speakers are. Thank you so much for reviewing this iPad. I think I will be buying one.
I have a 128 gig mini 4. People spent 499.00 for a mini 6 with 64 gig. There was a 150.00 difference between that and 256 gig. On the new I pad there is a 100.00 difference. I am going to buy the 256 gig as I plan to have this iPad a long time. My 128 gig mini 4 lasted 9 years. With AI, you don't know how much memory the other apps are going to eat up so you are covered in that regard. Oh and for the people who don't think this tablet is a seller, Amazon in the UK have sold out!
Other RUclipsrs say jelly wobble is fixed, who to believe these days! But I trust Aaron, and it sucks that my Apple Pencil 2 won't work with this mini. I have iPad mini 6 and the only reason I would like to get this is the storage 512 and maybe new color blue
Yup. I think the should’ve done the same as Sony with the A7cR camera in their A7 lineup. A small unit that has all the functionality of the big best (of the A7 line). A18 would’ve been nice, if only for the WiFi 7 for future proofing as they’re rarely updated
I have an iPad mini 6 a family member gifted to me. Comparing the 6 and 7 together; the only real difference is Apple Intelligence and storage space options. Other than those; there aren’t any major differences.
I've upgraded from the 5th Gen, and went with the Space Grey - not a fan of pastels. Well done, US Apple fans. Your iPhones might not have SIM trays any more, but at least you got a charging brick with your new iPad Minis. Unbelievable. Thanks for the content.

10:42 CPU benchmark scores shouldn’t be affected by removing a GPU core. The difference is probably from underclocking like they did with the A15 in the last Mini

Basically the definition of "Same, same, but different. But still same" 😂 Pretty obvious that Apple has a huge stockpile of binned A17 Pro chips, and just slapped them on the body of the iPad Mini 6 to save costs, and called it a day. 🤣
I have the new iPad Pro M4 13in and it is AWESOME. Yes its big but the quality of the screen and the sound of the speakers are amazing, Definitely worth every penny. I recently visited an Apple Store and all the employees were using the mini. I must, say it peaked my interest. After hearing about this last release, I think I am sold! looks super cool.
Upgraded to mini 7. Sold my older mini 6 64GB for half the value of the new one so for me was worth it as I prefer to upgrade to retain battery capability. I do everything on this device and need to keep it at the top of its game. Worth the purchase for me.
I went thru so many reviews for iPad mini and everyone just speaks on new hardware, colors etc but no one really talks on the screen jelly scrolling issue. Aaron as usual came through and addresses that. This is going to be critical for some of the buyers out there. If new AI features don’t matter and jelly scrolling issue not a problem save money and get the last generation from Apple refurbished store or reputed sellers.

The 11 iPad Pro is the perfect size for a tablet. I have the 12.9”, the 11”, and the Mini 6. It’s the best, big enough to enjoy content and draw, small enough to be handheld and travel with. While I do enjoy my mini sometimes. My Pro Max iPhone isn’t all that far off so I just use my phone instead

Nope. Apple Pencil Pro or USB C Pencil. Apple has quietly made the Pencil 2 obsolete. That discourages me from updating to the 7 as I use my 6 for a ton of note taking.
I have a mini 6. I use one of the "mini" wallpapers since day 1, it holds #1 spot in my lock screen switcher. But if I replace it with something else, I can't get it back, where the new iPad has ALL of them available in Collections. Why is this? The new model is a mere spec bump in processor and pencil compatibility, they didn't even bother changing the box. So why can't I have all the "mini" wallpapers as well?
Why did they had to place the volume buttons on top part of the iPad why not just stick them on sides like usual? 🤷🏼♂️ That way it looks way cleaner + better??

I went to the apple store...I.bought the six November last year...256 WIfi and cellular for 629.00 black Friday.....the store associate told me that it would be a bad decision as I loose a lot of. Value... ai and a faster chip... No to to upgrade!!! Only 230.00 trade in value....I have the 15 pro so I will still get ai....not upgrading until I see it is slowing down...I had a battery test thru apple....it's like new....I will wait.
The biggest shame of this device is 500 nits brightness. Basically entirely unusable outside which is a fatal flaw considering this is the most portable tablet. Meaning that this tablet is more likely to be used outside than anything else they offer besides the watch and phone. Apple’s pettyness knows no bounds. I swear this is basically a spite device.

I wanted a new mini with 120hz, Oled or even their xdr display whatever, I would have loved it to at least be slightly more powerful Than the iPhone 16 pro. Disappointed I would’ve even been fine with a iPad mini “pro” if they really want to go that route

This device is simultaneously an incredible deal, and also a terrible buy. Raw performance and build quality, for its mid-range price point, cannot be beat - and unlike Apple's usual model, they aren't completely screwing you on storage and ram at the base configuration, you can absolutely have a great and functional product for the sticker price. But on the other hand - it's 1.4 inches bigger than a large iPhone, so its ideal use case is things you want to do handheld but with _just_ a little more screen real estate to work with. It would be perfect for people who want their iPhone to be a bit bigger and have multitasking - if not for the fact that its gigantic bezels make it tough to fit in a pocket, and that you can only use it as a phone if you have a cellular model/cellular line/an iPhone with a cellular line, and even then it's missing core features you'd want to have like a vibration motor. I so badly wished Apple would make an iPad Mini that was really just a big iPhone, but they didn't and I bought a Z Fold, and it turned out to be everything I wished the iPad Mini was and more. Does everything a phone should do, everything a tablet should do, has the added bonus of certain advantages the hinge provides, has a better OS than IOS, and the bezels aren't insanely thick. For the ~$1000 they go for if you wait for a good sale, it's more bang for less buck than an iPhone and iPad Mini cost. ...and then I mostly use my 14.6" tablet if I have it on me anyway, ever since I got that

My daughter has had her iPad mini 6 since 2021. Unfortunately this is not a big enough upgrade from that model.
They need to offer a nano texture option for the iPad Minis to somewhat compete with Kindle e-readers!
