I've been using the iPadOS 18 beta on my M1 Air 5 since its public release and it has been very stable. I didn't know about all of the new OS features so this video has been very helpful (especially that trick with two fingers!) BTW, I'm using the Logitech Combo.
I'm android for phones, never owned an iPhone, but have a gen2 iPad pro, which I didn't get on with until iPad os came along, now it's rare I reach for my laptop. Only when I need windows, which is becoming less and less.
Absolutely flawless. Information filled, perfect, unobtrusive background music, good voice recording quality, stunning visuals (ugh… I just sounded like an Apple ad there…) and smile worthy product placement. You sir, are a PRO. Liked and subscribed.

That 2 finger gesture is "universal" to the OS, so you can use it to remove a multiple contacts too. I have no idea why Apple makes deleting contacts SO cumbersome, but this gesture will do the trick

I bought the Pitaka case after watching a previous video of yours, i want to get the desk stand but the design of the case means you can’t plug any external devices into it as the pitaka case is using the charge point of the iPad. Any work around? I also notice that in this video of yours the pitaka case isn’t using the charge point? Is this a newer version?
The ad blockers for Samsung internet are on the god level. Had no idea until I opened the same link on iPad and got hit by 33 redirects. Looked for countless ad blockers…not come close to Samsung internet. Flaw of iPad unable to download Samsung internet on it. Also the calligraphy pen of notes on iPad is so clean and handwriting looks so good. No note apps come close to it. After looking and trying almost 20 note apps, switched back to notes on iPad. It has some issues with handwriting or editing pdfs and is ofc not that seams less like note-shelf or good notes. But since its free and I am obsessed with the calligraphy pen on it. I just use it as it is.

I always use my iPad on my lap. On couch in bed out in lounge chair etc.. I need a keyboard that dosent tip with the weight of the iPad but rather stays upright in use on soft surface.
Im not sure the magic keyboard is ”a tank” as it is not even heavy enough to balance the iPad from being top heavy. Yes I agree I also do not care to use a kickstand base..
I had the Logitech combo for just under two years and they all developed the silicon warping around the iPad pro 4 speakers and then eventually snap. Luckily I was able to send it back but had it on discount price so never got a new one at full price.

The thing that is holding me from updating my ipad to this version is that i dont want to get the battery ruined, right now with ipad os 17.6.1 it last a lot but i dont want to loose all that duration with this update. I just want you to let me know if it is good or bad
Oops! I have your Ultmate Home Screen setup for iOS 16 and d love it - BUT - It disappeared when I upgraded to iOS 18. The ultimate widget just turned into a black box. Gave up trying to get it back after and hour. Widget tells me that I am using the wrong size icons????
Love your video! But, still no preview function, which is insanely important on Mac (pressing space bar on a file to preview it quickly). Also excel is still non usable on the iPad. The iPad unfortunately will never work as we want as consumers since iPad OS is restricting the whole user experience.
About Reader: You can enable “automatic reader” globally or on a per website basis. Unfortunately the website should be properly laid out in order for the reader to work as expected. Globally: Settings > Safari > Reader > All websites Website: Navigate to website > Tap on the left of the address bar > Website settings > Use reader Automatically
@@ThisIsE In the GoodNotes app it works fine. It's only in the Apple Notes app where I have the problem, specifically when I write continuously by hand. I'm not on iPadOS 18 (I'm still on 17.6.1) and I've already changed the iPad once and both (the previous one and this one) have given me the same problem. At this point, I don't care as much about solving the overheating problem. I just want to know if my unit is defective or if it's something relatively normal.
I was looking for this comment, iOS updates drain the batteries of previous models of the device they are made for. Like if I had an old iPad from 2019 then it’ll die way faster if I got the newest iOS. It just seems they do not care about the battery consumption of the upgrades
The thing is though... The story is still the same... Features most often come along veeerrryy long time into the age of the ipad... I have an ipadPro since 2018 and an android phone since before that point. And its a basic fact, that android customisation like what we're saying here hass been possible years before. Apple's philosophy of chasing profit first, then versatility after....has paid off for them in the long run... But ui basically wish the iPad had more versatility earlier on....

I don't think they ever will tbh. There is an entire new generation growing up with touch-first interfaces and I think this will be the new camp.

My iPad Pro m4 in Apple notes overheat after 10 min of continúes handwriting. Any idea of why or how to resolve it?
If it's running a beta version, I wouldn't be surprised. Try drawing on another app just as a test.

Is corner swipe a regional thing just now, I can’t turn mine on as it’s greyed out, I am running iPadOS 18.1 (22B5023e) in the UK
