Gold is a very desirable color on an old Cadillac, a windshield and back window for around $500 if you're handy install it yourself. It's a job but I've done it. It's great wire brush that roof down real good and then roll it with bed liner your choice white or black. And if you're in the South white, and if you're where it snows black. You can even get bed liner in Brown. And reupholster the bad seat bottoms with vinyl keep the seat backs if they're still good with the leather. Carpet set for $200 I say spend $1,000 on that Cadillac and you'll have a nice car. Tint the windows with 5% mirror tint they use on office building, keeps it cool in summer. And mirror tent looks really good with the Chrome trim. I did it to my Cadillacs and I've never had any problem. Other than great compliments. The headlights are crap anyway so get a set of h1h4 halogen headlights. I'll include the link. Cadillacs only junkyard for your tail lights. And then the Eldorado hood ornament, from eBay. A set of new brake hoses from RockAuto, and some ethanol resistant fuel line to replace the lines that go from the tank to the pipe work headed up front. An extra fuel pump in the trunk, and only run it on non-ethyl gas. You can even get a polished alloy telescope steering wheel kit so that you can install a real wood grain steering wheel on the car. That makes all the difference.
