I'm not even 6 minutes into this video and this is the exact dream car I would like to have for the rest of my life. I'm 56 years old and became disabled 4 years ago. I just left my wife a week ago ❤ because all I did was laid in bed. I'm disabled it hurt anyhow this would be my dream car to finish out the rest of my life with as a daily driver. I used to be 6'8 but now I'm 6'6 and 1/2 and I have osteoarthritis, double hip replacement, knee replacement, two different fusions that became one fusing T12 down to s1. God I'd love to have something like this just to run my errands. Because I wouldn't care about the gas mileage alls I care about is the comfort. This bring back memories when I used to have a 73 Olds Delta 88 four-door. 455 rocket with a turbo 400 tranny. With highway gears. Used to drive at 100 mi an hour everywhere I went You got 10 mi a gallon. Drove it easy to try to save some money and it got 10 mi a gallon lol anyhow thanks for reading my ramblings. I am a faithful follower of your channel. Love your content.

The only thing I would recommend when towing with the sling is to lock the pins on the arms, you want them open when you are hooking up but locked while towing. Also, keep a 4x4 on the truck as well...some cars the bumper is not strong enough to hold the weight and you can put the 4x4 on top of the chains to hit on the frame if it reaches (mainly when towing from the front) and can stop from smashing the radiator support. I also carried a couple pool noodles to put over the chains when they were rubbing on something like the gas tank. Otherwise looked pretty good.

The early 70s Cadillac 472ci engine is a torque monster but not suited for city stop and go traffic. The highway is her home and long distance trips are effortless and very comfortable. Very nice example of a classic caddy. My Dad and my father-in-law both had this exact car, my dad’s was yellow, my father-in- laws was green.

That was a really good episode. I love seeing an old vehicle go from rotting away someplace to finding somebody who really cares about it and puts it back on the road.

Yeah I figured it was worth the try since I was going to be having to pull the head off anyway. Plus I have a spare engine that I got from the same warehouse so God forbid something ends up happening to this anytime in the near future I'm going to take care of it and work it out with the new owner

Man, that is the EXACT Cadillac, color and all, that my Great Grandfather drove in his 70's until he went. My brother bought that car from him and drove it for a few years. Great memories

My dad's best friend who was a Vietnam vet had a new 1973 Coupe Deville just like that - same colors. He let my mom drive it with me in tow to a local country store. I loved it, I thought we were millionaires.

Gawl dang what a great watch this is! Never seen a bent valve get fixed like that before, effing genius and flawless execution. Secondly, I had a 72 Olds Toronado as a kid and this thing looked so much like it. Definitely different (Toro is front drive 455 of course) but very similar body lines and a dashboard so wide it has two ashtrays. Your craftiness is unquestionable. Cheers

I really like how you work on all kinds of stuff. Bikes, boat, truck, heavy machinery, cars etc. the next reason I enjoy your content is your not just fixing things your showing how to fix it and what could be causing it. I’ve learnt a lot from your content so thank you.

That was a brilliant fix on the bent valve; I just wonder how it got bent in the first place. I guess the most likely scenario is the valve was stuck open and got kissed by the piston.
Great video! Thanks for your hard work making, editing and posting these videos. We all really appreciate it!

Chris over in Lumberton, NJ - basically rt. 38 and 206 next the the DMV there's an old home improvement store that looks just like that plumbing supply house. It's called Diamond M Lumber.. as soon as the video started it made me think of that place. It's like a Home Depot but from 1968. It's like walking into a time capsule there, they have EVERYTHING for all the old houses here from the early 1900s, all the old electrical stuff, full sized boards, the old ceiling tiles for drop ceilings, he's got all the stuff from back in the day. He's got newer products too, it is a supply house, but man I love going there for stuff you can get at the big box stores.. he's got EVERYTHING..

Hello Chris and Jen , awesome video! The Caddy looked and sounded awesome when you got done with it Chris. I liked how you was able to straighten that Valve! I am glad that you was able to do a quick turn around on the car and really happy to that it went to somebody that knew the previous owner and will take good care of it. I love the old store , soon most everything like that will be gone. Thanks for taking us along Chris and thumbs UP! 👍
