Awesome work! I was thinking about using real straw too, Just grabbed this as one of my 2 monthly freebies from Marco. Can't wait to try this out, been wanting to try that technique since Darrell talked about it, but never had the time. I still can't find the inks locally, but I'll get em online if I have to. Anyway you earned a Sub for this one. Off to watch some more!
@@SaturdayMorningProps Is there any way you could show me how you sliced the backside of the broom? followed the files but want to print another one the same way you did :)
Killer job! That woodgrain finish is extremely convincing. This one is definitely going on my prop maker list. I would love to see/hear more about that booth you use to sand and paint. Looking forward to your next project. Edit: After a second pass through your videos I found it. If anyone else is curious about it, check out the tips video for painting in the cold/winter. 👍
Could I ask where you used supports? And what infill settings do you recommend? The 3 broom head pieces alone are over a day each for me currently. Thanks.
The handle 10% gyroid infill, more walls is better strength so 3 walls would be good at .2 quality, I have a video in my shorts where i show supports and it turns out it didn't need to
@@SaturdayMorningProps I will look for them, thanks. The bristle parts scare me, the largest print says it will take me 2 and a half days and almost an entire 1Kg roll.
@@SaturdayMorningProps are you talking about a specific video of this broom and the supports? As I don't see one regarding the broom and supports. Thanks.
what infill and walls did you use for the stand? 3 walls and 8-10% infill should be plenty strong the annoying part is that the bolt struggles to stop in from sliding, could use a rubber washer in between
@SaturdayMorningProps I honestly am not sure. I used whatever defaults came up. I'd hate to have to redo the stand itself. I had to slice it to be able to fit. So it's 4 pieces out together. Its not the stand itself I think, it's the attachment part with the screws. It don't stop. It wants to keep going, like the swing part. If that makes sense?

The persona 5 music in the background though 😂
Did you use any finish on it after all the painting?
@@GlitchedOutGal matte clear on the bristles, I was afraid to clear the handle and ruin that finish
Thank you
Just finished my broom but the stand won't hold the weight. It will snap. How did you get it strong enough?
