Thank you! I bought the twigs at Michael’s, a big craft store here in Canada. They weren’t branded, so I can’t recommend them by name, but I would imagine that any craft store that sells stuff for making bouquets or flower arrangements would stock a similar product. They cost about $25 for the package.
@@ApprenticeMarks I turned out pretty well. Yours is probably more durable though. If you feel like checking it out, I posted a video detailing how I made it on my channel about a month ago. ruclips.net/video/jbrxPbqkUG0/видео.html
Here's my bigger question: if you were going to do this, and remain "true to" traditional historic brooms, how would you do it? So no foam, no epoxy, etc.
So I don't know if Apprentice Marks will ever see this, but I'm trying to figure out the "brush part". Why not steam the twigs so they bend easier? What if you wanted the buck to be made out of twigs? Most importantly, did you try different kinds of twigs?
The short answers are: I didn't think to try, you'd need much thinner gauge twigs, and no I used the first bundle I could get my hands on at the craft store. I was more interested in how the broom looked from a reasonable distance than from up close
Hey sir I’m sure your a busy man and got better things to do but is there anyway you would make one if I paid you and if not maybe you can share where you got the pack of twigs or small pieces for the broom end so I can try and make it as a christmas gift niece🙏🏻💯
I’m always open to serious offers. Send me an email at info@apprenticemarks.com if you’d like to talk custom work. Otherwise, you can find info about materials in the video and in the other comments
Austin LaVelle I don’t know what the brand was. I found something close in the flower arrangement section of my local craft store and then added some of the same red oak stain that I used on the handle to them to get the colour right.
where did you get the twigs you used for the end of the broom? also this looks amazing! i don’t have access to a lot of the tools your using but am going to try and make a broomstick anyway
Hey Duncan, I got the twigs at Michaels, a large craft supply store. Any large craft store that sells materials for making wreaths or floral displays should carry something similar, although you may need to stain them to get the colour right
Emily Charlotte I didn’t really keep track, but it wasn’t too much. The oak for the handle was probably the biggest expense. I would say that you could probably build one for around $50 total
If I’m not too late to the show, design masters floral spray paint. It will not eat foam at all, it’s technically made for it. Michael’s, AC Moore any craft stores has it.
We have a craft store chain in Canada called Michael’s. They have a section that’s full of stuff used for making wreaths and floral arrangements. I found a pack of twigs that had already been cleaned and stained in that section.

This is so epic. I want to make one of these for my daughter. Where can I get the replica printouts?
That's super cool - Good thing your wife didn't want to go as something out of 'back to the future' or you'd be making a Delorean still. Nice work.
I don’t think I have enough space in my workshop for a DeLorean! That would be a fun build though...
@@ApprenticeMarks I want this man can you please give it to me... I know that might chargeable I'll pay you for it man .. dont take me wrong
I got a question... All the brooms height is 5'?
Man, You lived my dream.
Great work
Hi. Awesome build.
I was wondering if you’d be willing to share where you got the twigs you used for the tail?

Nice Job. Loved your out takes. :-)
Never thought I'd see you here
This looks so cool. I used the same CineReplicas picture for the one I made out of cardboard.
Nice! How did yours turn out?

Cool build, love the outtaked
We had a lot of fun filming that intro
If you want to paint any foam use plasti dip. It's the best to use
That's a great tip, thank you!
That's a wonderful job! My next project after a wooden light fixture :)
It would be great if you could share the pdf/jpeg of the large prints...

Very complex but it turned out well.
Thank you! It seems difficult, but I think that anybody with a little experience in the workshop could tackle it in a weekend.
Very cool!!! 👏
Awesome job came out great. Lmao at the end good outtakes. Take Care
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the outtakes. It took us far too long to film that little intro bit lol
Very cool!
Very nice!
Very cool
Thank you
What dimensions were the slab of wood?
Brilliant!
How do I get it to vibrate?
I wish I could make it but I don't have the supplies and I'm a kid dang it
What twigs did you use that had that red color?

I LOVE IT!!!
Very nice. How did you shape the foam buck?
Mike Mchugh it didn’t require much shaping. I found a couple of foam cones at a craft store and glued their large ends together to create the buck
@@ApprenticeMarks great idea. Thanks for the reply. My 9 year old and i are going to try to make one. Thanks for the help

I very like i am from Brazil
Hi, can you teach us how to make one that actually works(can fly)?
....

Ive been wanting to make one with an old cane
Jessica Girl1 I don’t think a cane is big enough. The broom handle is about twice the diameter of a cane, and quite a bit longer.
@@ApprenticeMarks ya i know that but i was just gonna make it for decoration in the corner of my room

Awesome

Is it possible to buy this?😂 This is AMAIZING!
This particular one isn’t for sale, but I have done custom orders in the past. If you’re interested, email me at info@apprenticemarks.com
Can u tell the exact amount pls so that I can save it,????

Can you make me one for me
Future reference for u: spray paint eats foam
I think you need to buy a spoke shave.

Risky finger eh?
