Hello Nisha, I'm from Germany and really appreciate your innovative and healthy cooking style and motivating videos. After I successfully tested your Hummus recipe, which made me addicted, I also tried your kind of 'Tofu and broccoli' yesterday. Even I have no instant pot, the result was an absolutely delicious flavourful vegan meal, with just 3 main ingredients (I added some onions) and spices/sauces, I anyway have on stock. Thanks a lot for your wonderful ideas. I'm a new fan to your channel here and also to your incredible website.
I made this and added some cauliflower and carrot slivers. When finished cooking I added a few peanuts. It was yummy!!! Thank you so much. Hint for this with acid reflux: You may want to scale back that spice!
You don't need cornstarch. You can just add a couple tablespoons of nutritional yeast. It will thicken your sauce and also add flavor and nutrients.
I like how simple the recipe is. I’ve never seen a stir fry in an Instantpot so what a great idea. I’m trying to cook mostly with my Instantpot when we go on camping trips in our RV so I’m looking for more ideas.

I have your cookbook and tried so many recipes which all turned out flavourful and fantastic. However, never imagined this recipe could work in the Instant Pot. I hesitantly tried it this week and it is not only easy and quick but also tasted great ! It was so good, that I made it again yesterday using several leftover vegetables (cabbage, leeks, carrots, bell peppers, green onions) and it was perfect! This is fantastic, not only with broccoli 🥦

It can be a somewhat tricky ingredient to cook in the Instant Pot if you've never done it before, but this recipe (and the tofu tikka masala recipe in my book) are must-makes!

I started cooking with my new instant pot with this recipe and I wish:you had exact amount of ingredients, a mention of time added to making this recipe for pressure time to build up. It came out delicious even though I had to improvise quantities for the sauce.

Which is better gluten free options to replace soy sauce in your opinion? Tamari or coconut aminos??
From saute to pressure cook, do I need to turn off my pressure cooker in-between settings? I was on saute then pressed the “ pressure cook” it did not pressure cook lol
I'm not sure if I missed it ,but I don't see the ratio of ingredients. Do you need to buy your book to get that and the video is a companion to the book?
This was super flavorful, although the tofu turned out a little mushy. Do you need to make sure the saute function is on hot? I think it was on normal which was the problem, either that or I didn't press the tofu long enough. Either way the sauce is great and I am really enjoying your cookbook!
What would a good substitute be for the agave syrup?
What size instant pot are you using? I have a 3 qt one
Looks delicious, looking forward to my book arriving :D But is this faster than using a pan/pot? My electrical pressure cooker takes 10-15 min to reach pressure so if this has to be done twice..But it is not an instant pot though
Hi Kristine! Thank you! For this particular recipe, there’s very little liquid so it only takes a few minutes to come to pressure and then you do a quick pressure release (so you don’t wait after the timer is up). And then it takes only a few more minutes to come to pressure when you add the broccoli.
In general, I love the instant pot not necessarily because it always shortens the actual time it takes to cook a meal, but because it’s so much more hands off. Once the food goes into the instant pot, you can kind of do your own thing, prep other food clean up the kitchen, deal with other things in life :-)
Can Seitan be used instead tofu if so, marinade would still apply?

This was the first recipe that I planned to make with my new instant pot. However as soon as I plugged the instant pot in, an error message and blinking lights changed my plans! Instead of making it in the instant pot, I made it on the stove and it came out great! Thanks Nisha!!

I'm sorry to ask this basic question but won't this dish take ages to finish? I have an Instant Pot and after every time I realease the steam to put in some more ingredients (like the broccoli) it takes a lot of time to build the pressure up again. Any tips on how to avoid this? Because I would love to cook fast with it. Cheers

do you think this would work in an 8 quart instant pot with the amount of liquid that there is in the recipe ?
I don't have much experience with the 8 quart (sadly my small nyc kitchen is not the best place for it hehe). It feels like not enough liquid based on my research of the 8 quart pot. You could try adding a 1/4 cup of water to the sauce since the sauce is so flavorful, you might not notice a difference. Sorry I can't be of more help but if you try it out, let me know!

I use the spoon that came with the Instant Pot since I saw this in a video here on RUclips, there is a small hole at the end that is perfect for that!

Yes! Super easy to make rice in the IP. White rice needs a cook time of just 5-8 minutes.

Where’s the ingredients please
I just did this recipe today. I used frozen broccoli florets instead of fresh and it came out fine. I served it with brown rice and garnished with chives and sesame seeds. Overall, everything tasted too salty. There wasn't any actual salt in the recipe so I think it was just too much liquid aminos. Also, sauteing and tossing the delicate tofu around was a bit challenging since it crumbles so easily. I prefer cooking tofu in the oven or air fryer that way the cubes don't fall apart and no oil is necessary. I LOVE all your recipes Nisha (whish is why I bought your book) but this one was not a fave. 🤷♀️

It looks great but lots of steps
I think there are certain recipes that don’t need to be done in an instant pot. Both tofu and broccoli are so quick to cook that watching you do this in an instant pot actually made it seem more complicated. I’m assuming these recipes are for students living in a dorm or have no stove.
This dish comes out just great for me and several people have already made this recipe and said it was fantastic :) But of course you can make it in a skillet of you prefer.

I’m trying to send my vegan mom a couple vids to help her get started with her instant pot I got her. RUclips has pretty much only your videos come up when I search but all with no ingredient list. 🙄 Silly.
