I have been fascinated by this song since I watched the music video on MTV back in my teenager years and I had no idea I would some day learn how to play the guitar. Now I am amazed on how I managed to learn to reasonably play it in less than a hour by watching this tutorial. You sir are the best guitar teacher here on RUclips land. Cheers!

Had a guitar since I was 12, I'm 35 now and only picked it up to learn due to seeing one of your RUclips videos and now I can't put it down.
I don't why but I'm just obsessed with the intro riff, especially with that loop you put in there marty!
Every time I'm testing a guitar which wasn't in use for a long time and I'm trying to find out what's possible and what is not I play along with about the half of Americana. Give me a clean, a crunch, a distortion and a solo channel on a nice powerfull clean amp and i'll tell you what the guitar can do!

hey I haven't played guitar in ten years and when I did when I was young i gave up on it pretty quick. Just wanted to say thank you for this, this particular song made me want to pick it up again and I'm really enjoying learning it. I have a hard time with the rhythm/palm muting on that main riff but this is only day two of trying. will keep practicing.

Hey Marty, love the new video. It would be really awesome if you included the gear you use in every video in the description. For example in this video you could put what guitar, amp, and pedals you are using. It’s a small detail, but I think it would go a long way.

This video was posted a long time ago so you might not see this, but I’m having a hard time getting my guitar to sound right. I recently got it for Christmas and I’m not sure what I need to set my amps knobs to. It does it with any song I try to play. I’ve double checked the tuning, and tried googling it, but mine always sounds way too different, even when I’m doing the chords right.
