This song makes me cry thinking about High School back in the 90's. I'm 34 now. Where did the time go? No more first kisses with girls, hanging out with friends after school, playing basketball, going to work for $5.15 at Cici's Pizza, putting gel in my hair. Those times are all gone and this song makes me think of a time when life was so full of possibilities. My friends and I used to talk about making our way in this world and what all we were going to accomplish. We were too young to know life would get in the way. I love Heavy Metal but The Offsping will always make me think of my youth.
I’m Japanese and 35 years old man Covered this great song with my band when I was 24. Time flies. I’m getting old. Now I need to play my guitar . I love 90s punk Thank you the offspring.
My son is 5 & has autism and is absolutely obsessed with this song. Original, acoustic, piano, cover, you name it. He can’t stop listening. Grateful 🙏🏽
I’m 40 now but this song makes me feel like I’m in high school again cruising with with my friends without a care in the world. Miss those days. Getting old sucks!
I've seen Offspring live 5 times in the past 5 years. And these guys sound perfect every time. One of the best live performing bands out there in my opinion.
These guys have had such an influence on my life through music, and basically the sound of my youth. There songs are like pre warned experiences of what to expect from this thing we call life.
I'm 9yo again, it's after school, I'm chilling in my room and the Americana CD is playing on the radio. I'm almost 31 now and this brings tear to my eyes. Thank you!
This band just has a great sound, the harmonics of the lead singers voice with the songs is perfect. I remember listening to these guys non stop in the late 90's early 2000's. I would just get lost in the harmonic.
Quién más en la crisis de los 35??? , Me acompañaron y me siguen acompañando en mis mejores momentos, escucharlos es un viaje en el tiempo!!! Grande the offspring!!!
My mam went to see the Rolling Stones live when they were all in their 70's and said they were just the same as when she saw them 40 years earlier. The Offspring will be the same!
Wow. 🤯 I always had heard of the legend of how good they were live. 1:51 As soon he hits that vocal range, you can tell immediately it's them. So tight, still. Jesus Christ.
One of the songs that defining my childhood- and teenage years. Love this song to my very soul. All the struggle with learning who you really are and what you wanted to become. Damn... The 90's was really one of the greatest times of my life.
The Offspring rocks hits like "Come Out and Play," "Self Esteem," and "The Kids Aren't Alright" on #GCSessions this Friday at 9pm on DIRECTV Audience ch.239! Presented by JBL Professional, hosted by Nic Harcourt.
When they asked the dudes from the original Misfits crew how bands like theirs stand the test of time. They said you don’t need to be able to sing, you don’t need to be able to drum well, or play the guitar well. You need to have really really good songs. That’s it. That’s all it is. Here’s to the greats!
Remember there’s always time to turn things around. No matter how bad things might be there will always be a chance to make it better. Yeah it might effort and sacrifice and it might not be what you dreamed of in school but it’ll be worth it. Fragile life and shattered dreams yes, end of the story? No if you don’t let it. Amazing song.
Love Offspring. Just had an opportunity to meet Noodles in Montreal a couple of weeks ago. Great guy, very humble and generous of his time. Thanks guys! Killer show
I don't listen to them all the time but when I do I go on binges listening on and off for a week. I'll go on a month long breaking Benjamin binge where that's all I listen too
I'am from indonesia... I'am realy like this song...a long years ago.. when i'am just a kid.. Now i'am 37 year old... Bravo THE OFFSPRING.. You're still LEGEND in my heart..
Nice to hear Dexter's guitar tone has improved since Woodstock 99. Just came to this from that video and jesus christ the tone is so much better. The singing is also ten times better
Love to listen to great rock songs like this, bumping beat, overdrive guitar and spitting lyrics ... but they still tell a story. Songs that take you back in time. 👍🏼

I understand why. I'm autistic myself, and a lot of people on my end of the spectrum really like satisfying chord progressions, like this song has.
Get him a guitar and a distortion pedal.
This song sets you free when listening to it!
There is no piano in this
Whoever it is that mixes all these Guitar Center shows does an incredible Job.

Autotune does wonders, right?
Grzegorz Sokólski mild voice saturation and singing in key with harmonies.. not autotune, pull your head in
Look at 2:13 he shouts but nothing lol
Pretty obvious this is altered to sound better than what was sung. He’s never sound good live.

Sounds way to good vocally. And this band was never famous for playing g their songs live awesomely.

I just realized that theese guys are all in their 50's, damn I feel old, haha
Feeling old is exactly what makes this song such a kick in the guts. This song has aged ridiculously well.

NukeWolf The song aged well, his guitar playing didn't

Such a shame he’s out of the band now.
Really good performance! Close your eyes and you could believe it was 1999.
hard to do with dexters deeper voice
They are playing in Eb tuning live at least since 1997.
Well, after this comment I had to go there and check a 99's performance. This one here sounds pretty good, though.
Well this is not bad
If his voice got deeper.. it got deeper, can't do anything about it :)
