Thank you so much for this video. I’m very excited when I hear what you are doing in Brazil, I’m in Hawaii and I am just at the beginning of creating a small food forest on our 14 acre property. I learned a lot from this video and I look forward to watching some others from your crew
Great!!! What you think about planting the passion fruit between the lines of trees? may be plant eucaliptus on this lines just to climb passion fruit but not to plant other trees.
Interesting. That appears to be Passiflora setacea. I am growing a variety of Passiflora cincinnata called Sertao Forte which was reported selected for its ability to grow in the arid regions of Brazil.
Ever try Moringa? Would prefer Ice Cream Bean or Gliciridia to Eucalyptus. Passionfruit would be better trellissed and pruned between lines, simpler to harvest that way; would get all the sunlight it needs, wouldn't shadow the tree line and one wouldn't have to choose between two crops. I would do the trellise with bamboo and wire.
Passion fruit grows so fast but during the summer here the fritillary caterpillars devour mine and it barely produces fruit. I'm thinking about growing it up my moringa trees because they grow fast too.
Thank you for this valuable and insightful video.
