I’m in Central Florida - north of Orlando - & so as Milton continued south of Orlando, I thought we would escape the worst of it & like you, we have acreage & a well but invested in a Generac about 6 years ago - we were without power for only 2 days, but we lost 4 beautiful oak trees - probably 75 - 80 years old - one by our little lake was my favorite - it was just gorgeous - was completely uprooted - I sobbed my eyes out when I saw it, but then I told myself I couldn’t cry about trees when so many people lost everything - so I dried my tears & said prayers for those who were truly devastated by both recent storms - it’s just heartbreaking - so blessings to all who are in dire straits right now 🙏❤️I

I like that wicker basket that has the closure on it on one of the shelves in your store and that green armoire is beautiful. The arch your husband built is stunning. So very glad you made it through the hurricane safely. I see from the pictures in you booth, some items you had in your home. Your booth looks beautiful, wish I lived nearer, but probably couldn't afford anything, not to say you would be expensive, but we are on a very tight budget and in our seventies and don't really need anything. I just love decorating with what I have, but can always squeeze in something for the different seasons. Love how everything you're working on is going and can't wait to see the final results.

Be brave! Except for the gifted few, the only way to get good at something is to go for it. You’ll likely fail but learning is the greatest gift from failure. If you don’t like the final product just repaint it. You’ll be a pro in no time

They could not go north, bumper to bumper traffic on Monday. Praying for all Florida residents. He’s already had two tornadoes touchdown within five miles 🙏🤞

@@thepaintedsouth my son made it through a harrowing night. Tornado sirens and wind keeping everyone awake. Power went out but the rental had a generator. He has no idea if his home on the west coast is still standing but he, his family and elderly neighbor are grateful to be alive. @debra7241 I did! I needed a display piece and didn't expect it to sell so fast. 😬 No worries, though! I have a larger one I bought on FB Marketplace that will be getting a makeover. I'll try to show a photo of it in my next video. It has glass in the doors, but I could do wire, instead. I like not having the reflection so you can see what's inside. I think you'll like it! Xoxoxo

Thank you! The faux wood finish is super easy. There is a product called "Retique It" that does the same thing. You can add a faux wood grain to it, also. I can definitely do a video on that finish. It's super easy. The color of the undercoat and the color and type of the stain will dictate the final look, depending on what you are going for. 😬🤎

Hello! The booth has been going fairly well. I just have a small space and am still getting things going. I am filling it with mostly things from our home that I have collected over the years or projects pieces, like you mentioned. For RUclips, you have to keep things changing, which I have always done anyway. So I have so many project pieces, it is absurd. 😆 I am slowly trying to narrow things down to pieces I really love and are versatile for all seasons, for the most part. I would say give a booth a try! I would check with the other vendors for realistic sales and expenses. Make sure you are in a good location with high traffic. The fees will also add up- rent, commission, credit card fees, electricity, etc. I committed for 6 months and figured I will see how things go. Best of Luck to you! Keep me posted! Xoxoxo ❤️

Thanks so much!!! It's been a lot of fun! As far as the storm goes, it was an eye opener that we need to get more prepared for the unexpected emergencies. Luckily, our neighbors had solar power back up and were able to get us water to flush our toilets and wash our hands! The simplest things we take for granted become the most important. Xoxoxo
Love what u have done, try candle wax on your drawers, use a tapered candle and run it over the runners.. also when u move the green dresser out , one of the wall hanging water fountains would look great in the space where the dresser sits with all the plants.. just an idea..

My worst, grill gazebo got crushed and flat screen tv on lanai blew over and broke! Funny how nature can do…plants/stands immediately by tv were still standing!

I have the same white plant stand that is by your fireplace in the plant room. I have mine in my living room. My mom bought it in the very early 70's and she had a rain lamp sitting on it. She cant remember if the stand came with the lamp or if she bought it separately. I wish I had kept the rain lamp as well. Anyway, love your video as usual. Thank you for sharing.
WD 40 or candle wax for the drawer slides. That should do the trick and save you money. Hope this works. The dresser is beautiful. As always you make the most beautiful pieces. You are a true artist.
I saw a video ftom Florida where they installed a beautiful "Fandellier." It has a fan that fold in and out. You might want to check it out. Hard to believe it could be so pretty yet cooling, too. Your booth is just as pretty as your home.😊

This room is all out of balance, so when we move the light to be centered on the chimney wall and window, it will be kind of too close to the chimney wall, if that makes sense. They could not go north, bumper to bumper traffic on Monday. Praying for all Florida residents. He’s already had two tornadoes touchdown within five miles 🙏🤞

@@thepaintedsouth my son made it through a harrowing night. Tornado sirens and wind keeping everyone awake. Power went out but the rental had a generator. He has no idea if his home on the west coast is still standing but he, his family and elderly neighbor are grateful to be alive. Thanks so much for your concern

@debra7241 I did! I needed a display piece and didn't expect it to sell so fast. 😬 No worries, though! I have a larger one I bought on FB Marketplace that will be getting a makeover. I'll try to show a photo of it in my next video. It has glass in the doors, but I could do wire, instead. I like not having the reflection so you can see what's inside. I think you'll like it! Xoxoxo

So glad you posted ---I had looked to see if you had an update after the storm. I am in Ohio but used to live in E. TN & the videos coming of the damage is horrible. Your home renovations are looking great. I love how you did the moldings in your home. You will love having a booth & you will be a huge favorite.

Thank you! The faux wood finish is super easy. There is a product called "Retique It" that does the same thing. You can add a faux wood grain to it, also. I can definitely do a video on that finish. It's super easy. The color of the undercoat and the color and type of the stain will dictate the final look, depending on what you are going for. 😬🤎

Hello! The booth has been going fairly well. I just have a small space and am still getting things going. I am filling it with mostly things from our home that I have collected over the years or projects pieces, like you mentioned. For RUclips, you have to keep things changing, which I have always done anyway. So I have so many project pieces, it is absurd. 😆 I am slowly trying to narrow things down to pieces I really love and are versatile for all seasons, for the most part. I would say give a booth a try! I would check with the other vendors for realistic sales and expenses. Make sure you are in a good location with high traffic. The fees will also add up- rent, commission, credit card fees, electricity, etc. I committed for 6 months and figured I will see how things go. Best of Luck to you! Keep me posted! Xoxoxo ❤️

Thanks so much!!! It's been a lot of fun! As far as the storm goes, it was an eye opener that we need to get more prepared for the unexpected emergencies. Luckily, our neighbors had solar power back up and were able to get us water to flush our toilets and wash our hands! The simplest things we take for granted become the most important. Xoxoxo
Love what u have done, try candle wax on your drawers, use a tapered candle and run it over the runners.. also when u move the green dresser out , one of the wall hanging water fountains would look great in the space where the dresser sits with all the plants.. just an idea..

@@thepaintedsouth thank you ! I’m about 30 miles east of Tampa, and my immediate area was very luck! We never lost power and only had limbs and debris down! My worst, grill gazebo got crushed and flat screen tv on lanai blew over and broke! Funny how nature can do…plants/stands immediately by tv were still standing!

I have the same white plant stand that is by your fireplace in the plant room. I have mine in my living room. My mom bought it in the very early 70's and she had a rain lamp
sitting on it. She cant remember if the stand came with the lamp or if she bought it separately. I wish I had kept the rain lamp as well. Anyway, love your video as usual. Thank you for sharing.

WD 40 or candle wax for the drawer slides. That should do the trick and save you money. Hope this works. The dresser is beautiful. As always you make the most beautiful pieces. You are a true artist.
I saw a video ftom Florida where they installed a beautiful "Fandellier." It has a fan that fold in and out. You might want to check it out. Hard to believe it could be so pretty yet cooling, too. Your booth is just as pretty as your home.😊
Thank you! I have seen some new options like what you mentioned. This room is all out of balance, so when we move the light to be centered on the chimney wall and window, it will be kind of too close to the chimney wall, if that makes sense. I'm thinking of doing a bunch of wall sconces instead, but air circulation is always good! I'll look into the "fandelier"! Thanks! Xoxoxo
