Not just the shop and flat of an antiques dealer, but the home of a very gifted interior designer. The "mood" of each space is beautifully created and curated. This is very good magic.
One of the ABSOLUTELY most FABULOUS videos on Homeworthy. This gentleman has lived, evolved, created, nurtured, breathed life, art, and old world into whatever he touches. His spaces, landscapes, and pool are museum quality. Deliciousness❣️
This is one of the most interesting and beautiful places I have ever seen, I now plan to become Michael’s best friend so that I can hang out there more 😅
Good Magic, indeed, on this land. I have tear sheets of "Mr. Trapp's" grotto and dining room, going back from when I was a kid, probably 30+ years ago. It was the most enchanting environment I had ever seen and I have them to this day. Thanks so much for this special tour.
When he says his place is magical, he’s not lying. It’s a place of beauty, a place where he poured his love and his life, and it shows. From one magician to another, thank you.
Dear Michael, you just stole my heart. Your sense of style and beauty is unbeatable. You remind me myself....lol..I built a stone wall in my garden, waterfall and overall a nice garden that inspires me everyday. I will watch this video again, again and again. Your inspiration is like a drive force that never drains. I feel so connected with you spiritually. I am enjoying your home so much!!!
I love this man and his beautiful home. Thank you for inviting us back into your home. I can tell you that your home hands down the best home that has ever been featured on homeworthy
What an alchemist. This place reminds me of a 1920s/30s paladiain midnight garden theatre set. I expected fawns, faeries, and harlequins to be playing flutes under the columns and arbres. This self effacing and humble man who is beyond talented was an absolute inspiration and delight. I wish I knew him. From one antiques and curio dealer and interiors enthusiast to another, I salute you!!
The most beautiful space I have seen. I love a home that is reflective of the person that lives there, and this guy is such an incredible artist. He created it all, from the gardens to interiors in an evolving way that creates a story of his life and his eye for beauty. God! I’m going to watch again.
A disservice to your viewers for a 35 minute episode, which deserved more time experiencing this wonderful place!!! Love your channel! ❤ I cannot express how much his story resonated.... Great job!!! 👍
Dear Michael, thank you for being on this channel again. Incredible pleasure from viewing your beautiful estate. Thank you for the beauty you bring to this world.
Now that's a driven man. Breaking his back to make his vision come to fruition....Then, to help his back heal, decides to build a therapy pool perpendicular to and on the side of a hill ? MAN-i-ac ! Michael is so deep and complex i could right a book about him just on this video ! This guy fits perfectly with the ole adage: when life gives him lemons, he makes lemon aid, but not being able to leave that alone...he adds some texture with artichokes thrown into the mix. Love to see his green oasis in the springtime. You have to go back and do a mini video ❣ PLEASE ? 🙏🥺🙏
Thank you for showing us your Shangri-La, it is charming! Love all the unique and different living spaces. The Garden, well it’s heaven on earth! I love that you love your home❣️
My husband served 34 years in the military so I get that sense of creating your own root system and using all the magic in your creative tool box to feel at home never quite knowing when you will move over and over again and again ! ❤ I connect so much to this story and the process of making a forever home. Magic and more magic! ❤ beyond a home….this gorgeous place is cosmic. Thank you for such a fabulous tour! The gardens are beyond! The stone walls remind of my summers spent visiting family in the lake ares of Maine! Mr. Trapp you are magic 🪄
I could listen to him all day. I love that his cat is a rescue and that she helped him conduct the tour. I am very envious of that lap pool. I love his impish sense of humor and admire all of the physical labor he put into the home and grounds. Just magic, as he pointed out.
Really? That is so different how I watched it, I wanted to stop listening to him because he had so many suppressed yawn while talking, I thought he was bored or something? But maybe I am wrong 🤷🏼♀️
This is the best home you guys have been in. I want to cry so bad about this place. It´s how I would build my place if I had one. You can tell he is a special human being. Congratz!
I thought this was going to be a home tour, but this estate feels like a museum visit. I love the collectibles and the views from each room, but the atrium and garden are my favorite spots. I loved living in Connecticut for ten years, but if I lived like this, I would've never left. This man is eccentric, and this home is a European oasis. If you ever want to adopt a 62 year old niece, I'm ready to sign the papers. I live in Ohio, but I'll come house sit anytime, and feed your cat too.
What a smart man to buy a home when he was young. And a very interesting life to travel the world and bring back treasures. Micheal thank you for saving the treasures of the world and history before they're gone.
What a charming hidden hide-away, so romantic and special. What you said about how your vision has changed over time is so true. Thanking you for sharing.
What I loved even more than the interiors, were the exteriors. Those garden rooms are sublime. The pool area....what a dream. The whole garden is enchanting.
Thank you for sharing this magical home ( and business) from a gentleman who knows exactly how to create, procure, delight in what absolutely makes him happy and at peace within his world. How wonderful. Absolutely love it all…and so happy to see such beauty for all the senses. Blessed. 🌞🙏🏻💛
A truly magical creation, Michael, thank you for the most wonderful tour. You are an amazing collector - I can’t say enough about how moved I am by what you’ve done. A life very well lived and continuing.
The 'lits clos' bed is amazing! In Wuthering Heights, there was that kind of bed. Good day Queen Iris! This gentleman reminds me of artist Mark Dion. Awesome!
Really enjoyed this visit to a most interesting eclectic house, shop, garden and interview. He created wonderful spaces of things that are meaningful to him.
Michael, your home is very 'scenogeaphic' and creative. I love the pool/ mirror pond, and the grotto. And the garden is very beautiful. I have loved your style since I first saw your home in a magazine, years ago.
I LOVED this tour more than any other tour. this gentleman is authentic sincere and has great taste. Thank you. P.S. I going to build that pool for myself
I loved this video and the other one of Michael’s home. The spaces are magical and I hope to emulate that same beautiful vibe in my own home! Thank you for such awesome content!! ❤❤❤
When I heard Michael reference Robert Kime, I was thinking he was the only art dealer who came close to Michael's aesthetic. We are transported to a place where objects have become talismanic in rooms of dreams and then there's the garden (sigh) and the little cat! TY Homeworthy and TY Michael 💞
Not just the shop and flat of an antiques dealer, but the home of a very gifted interior designer. The "mood" of each space is beautifully created and curated. This is very good magic.
This gentleman is both enchanting and elegant
Yes he is!!
Yes I have to wholeheartedly concur.

@@mrsllamahead It looks as though I will need to take my place and wait patiently in the already forming orderly queue😇
@@Chris-hp8yf I'll be right behind you both:)
@@Laura-g1c1l great, let’s form an orderly queue!
Love Trapp's sense of humor and sense of style. Gorgeous home and definitely not basic like some of the others on Homeworthy.
Michael Trapp is a treasure!!

Michael’s videos are what I come to your channel to see. I’d rather have fewer amazing, unusual visits than more clips that are just so so.
I love them all. Keep them coming! 💐
Divine in every way ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Michael IS A NATIONAL TREASURE !! Protect him at all costs! You can just tell he is a good soul. Both his episodes are incredible.
When he says his place is magical, he’s not lying. It’s a place of beauty, a place where he poured his love and his life, and it shows. From one magician to another, thank you.
What a fascinating man and a wonderful little world he’s created on his properties.

Wow what a wonderful home and gardens . He is so charming and a little shy I think . I enjoyed this very much - Thank You

This is fabulous. I think I will end up watching this one over and over again.

What an incredible experience walking through this home.
He is so creative and inspiring with his decor and how he displays his antiques!
Every aspect of Michael’s creativity gives us the magical treasures he has collected ….he has been driven to make something amazing 🌟
A disservice to your viewers for a 35 minute episode, which deserved more time experiencing this wonderful place!!! Love your channel! ❤ I cannot express how much his story resonated.... Great job!!! 👍
Being a designer is obviously one of Michael’s spiritual gifts.
He is who he is. It is really a good thing to cultivate the good magic. We suffer from the lack of beauty mystery and magic.❤
Dear Michael, thank you for being on this channel again. Incredible pleasure from viewing your beautiful estate. Thank you for the beauty you bring to this world.
This man is a charming treasure! His style is so warm and inviting, his gardens are just enviable. So unique and glorious. What designing should be!!!

An absolutely amazing home ... certainly one of the most unique and beautiful houses to feature on Homeworthy for a long time.
What a beautiful video.
Thankyou Michael for sharing with us.
Every blessing.
Thank you for sharing your home, Michael.❤😊
The most interesting episode!
Extraordinary taste! The best I saw….
Thanks
Wonderful! Kudos, Mr. Trapp! Clearly, you have taste, style and the grit to be able to express it!
Michael's home definitely deserved a two-part home tour! So exquisite and truly draws you in! I absolutely love his other work, too.

❤❤❤❤❤this is what simplicity and extravagant is like ❤❤❤❤❤love Michael Trapp ,he has become my Homeworthy favorite
What I loved even more than the interiors, were the exteriors. Those garden rooms are sublime. The pool area....what a dream. The whole garden is enchanting.
Michael is amazing, doors from java, bones from Roman soldiers discovered in France, he's so casual as he points out this and that..very interesting
Fascinating man with unique collections...wish l could tour in person..what a treasure chest..
This was truly an experience. I felt like I could see your soul in your home. You took my breath away.....
This was the one! I must venture there.

There’s another Michael Trapp video? Oh please, someone tell me the title. I need more of this wonderfully creative man!
Very enjoyable. Beautiful property. Thanks for sharing.

MY GOODNESS!!! So charming and just absolutely stunning!! :)
He is wonderful and spoke to my soul, such beautiful and meaningful living. Mr Trapp you are magnificent and must write a book♥️
One of my favourite minds, along with Robert Kime….magical men !
Thoreau’s “simplify, simplify, simplify” seems hopelessly inappropriate amidst these exquisite artifacts and I want them all. Simply glorious.
What a beautiful and true reflection of a person's home.
Loved this🤍
Love Michael Trapp..love to hear his back story, so interesting! Beautiful!!
A truly magical creation, Michael, thank you for the most wonderful tour. You are an amazing collector - I can’t say enough about how moved I am by what you’ve done. A life very well lived and continuing.
Ahhhhhhh I never get tired of listening to this man and seeing all his beautiful treasures. What a magical place it is!!! Thank you Homeworthy!!!
I saw the previous Michael Trapp video and ended up buying some gorgeous antique African Trade beads from his online shop. Amazing home and store.
Interesting home and interesting man...love both.
OMGosh, I’ve never heard of him before. I love him! What a gorgeous place! He is so naturally talented…amazing man!
The 'lits clos' bed is amazing! In Wuthering Heights, there was that kind of bed. Good day Queen Iris! This gentleman reminds me of artist Mark Dion. Awesome!
