My TRE FLIP / 360 Flip Progression! *WARNING* INJURY-ENDING / 6 Month Skateboarding Progression

- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- It's been about 6 months or so since I started skating again and this is about where I'm at. My ultimate goal is to land a 360 flip this year (2021), and I was getting CLOSE (sloppy but still!). Unfortunately, this injury will take me a step back... But hopefully it'll help me push even harder when I'm healed. Show me some love my friends, I find it hard to find motivation again after injuries...
the pop on your heelflip is so good
Thanks man!!

So impressive that you learned all those tricks in 6 months.. it took me more than five years to get one treflip. "Self taught thing is hard."
Thanks for the props man! But I actually used to skateboard when I was in my teens so I was able to pick up the skills back rather quick... Check my first video upload for the full story :) 🙏
dang fam, may the skate spirits be with that super maria glove-looking foot. Hope it heals quick brotha.
Lol! Thank you sir, ya the foot was looking real fat and ugly.
please dont give up, your so close
I feel for you man, I sprained my ankle the other way hard a while ago playing basketball and it was brutal. Seemed like that injury followed me around on some level for at least a year. Can't describe to you how sore it's going to be, just don't get back to skateboarding too early for real
Forreal I sprained mine wrecking on my dirt bike about 15 years ago and it's still fucked up. Swells every day at the achilles and sometimes will give out/hurt like a mofo if I step on it wrong. When I did it my family doctor told me it was the worst sprain he had ever seen lol. Also started my path to opioid addiction but that's another story.
@@dannygorham2726 Sorry to hear all that. It's definitely a real injury. But watch out for you Achilles swelling cause it probably swelling cause it's about to tear
Man bro same exact thing happened to me hope your healed by now and landed your tre flip I broke my lateral foot bone on top of the rolled ankle just got back to skating like 3 weeks ago keep shredding
Danggg bro, good thing you're healed up now. Thanks for the support🙏
I remember about 16 or so years ago I was trying to kickflip my first 8 stair for film and I landed the same way and my foot ballooned up the same way and I had to push myself home on my butt 3 miles from the skate spot and it was soooo painful 😥 hopefully your ankle heals up and you can get this tre flip on lock down my brother. Shred on!
Ahhh rolling ankle down a stair sounds horrific 😭I've finally healed up after 2+ months. Thanks for the support!
You can see the potential of a solid tre flip just in the beginning. Good stuff brotha 😋🙌
Appreciate it man 🙏
You're very close, how is it now ?
I'm 37 and started to skate again 2 years ago after a long break, and I finally land several Tre flips in each session now !! You'll do it for sure if still determined.
Personally I feel Tre flips are much easier in fakie, you may give a try ?!
Damn I thought I was only mid 30s adult that decided to pick up skating again lol
37 and still rippin', that's amazing! I haven't been able to dedicate myself to try them again just yet... I almost have this fear of rolling my ankle again. Also, I've been insanely busy with life. Hopefully I get back to attempting them this month.
@@DJPark1 sure you should and I'm sure you'll do it. I also used to try it without rolling just in the grass at first in my young age, there's less fear after landing to understand the rotation..but then it's really another dimension and commitment when you are moving forward and I can't do them with much speed yet
39 here and getting back into it.
Hope it heals quickly!! the same happened to me last year while learning treflips.. after that i couldn't do flip tricks for a month or so.
Thanks man! 🙏Yeah it's been almost 2 weeks, but I definitely won't be able to skate for another couple weeks...
Same here, my foot rolled off the side on a treflip attempt and put me out for like 2 months.
I never got it checked out but 6 months later I think I should have.
I am able to land treflips again but kickflips are a struggle to keep straight, I should be doing some muscle therapy or stretching \ strengthening at this point.
@@tylermartin7273 I agree. I didn't go to the doctor either but I definitely feel like I tore something... Stretching will be a must when I get back to skating.
This is exactly what my tre and skate session looks like. The struggle with only landing the back foot on the board, front foot right in front of the nose. The anxious and anxiety feeling hits every time trying to land it. Do tre attempt almost 3 hours a day straight non stop. But after I watched this video, I felt relieved because I know that there's other who have the same issues. I afraid that it is only because of me, that treflip is not my trick. With all those effort that you show I believe you gonna get it soon, same as me. Peace
Glad to hear I'm not alone, much love 🙏🏼
bro same thing happened to me, started skating after like 3 yrs, almost landed Tre flips first try, practiced two more times and rolled my ankle hard, hope you are already back on the board
Rolling ankles are seriously the worst... But yes I'm finally back out skating after 2 and a half months!
I like how you protect all your equipements everywhere in your garage !
Hey dude ! Awesome heelflip 👌 keep on ! Iam 34 and still on Board 😜
Thanks man!! Props to you for still skating 👍
I can’t even get my kick flips on lock, heel flips are another story landed 1 in my life, varials have been kinder to me, 3 shuvs are good too. But when it comes tre flips the board is always landing behind me.
Ive been skating for a year from last March. Started skateboarding at 35... can’t wait to be 36!!! Keep it up my dude. Looking nice. It’s coming....
Thanks for the vid. Makes me want to skate 1:00am in the morning.
Started at 35!? You're a beast. Thanks for the support! 🙏
Your leaning to back, jump straight up, weight distributed evenly on both legs, the board will remain under neat.
Every time I jump straight up I end catching the tre upside down
Flip harder
Not really, that's not how physics work, the more you lean back the more the board goes in front of you, so he should've leaned even more backwards
Dude, mad respect! Pushing 30 but still got some basic tricks down clean. Love your heelflips! They look sooo good. I mean, I know there are some pros that are above 40 years old. But they are pros, it's what they did and still do for a living. I'm 25 myself and have never landed a single regular tre flip in my life. But I have a word to myself to land it one day. I've landed some fakie tre flips tho, found it easier to get. Both popped and only scooped. Got some fakie bigflips too that are surprisingly not much harder than fakie bigspins. But tre flip is just another type of beauty.
Ayy thanks man! I'm sure you'll land it if you keep putting the hours in. I'm 31 now and I've only landed once lol. My goal is to land it a few times this year.
My ankle injury's are why I stopped skating, I loved skating but I like to walk as well. I still mess with it a bit, but know boundary's. Hope you land it!
Yeah injuries are probably 50% of the reasons why people quit skating. Not gonna lie, I immediately questioned why I'm trying to skate again when the injury happened lol.
try jumping straight up as much as possible, crouch like you're going to sit in a chair. It'll keep the board centered below you.
Man your so close. Heal up and come back you definitely got this trick. Can’t wait to see it
Hey thanks for the support man! I'm planning on trying to dedicate a few sessions on tre flips soon. Will definitely post up an update 🙏
it took me 2 years of practice till i landed my first your doing great !
I was told that pop shuvs helps a lot with understanding how the board stays under you. And the kick part of the tre is very little all in the scoop and pop
Good vid and good progress :)
I'll keep that in mind! Thanks :)
Dude, exactly the same happened to me 3 weeks ago. My foot is now much better, hope yours is too✌🏼
Took me over 2 months to heal 😭
Looking good at the start though, better than mine!
Did you eventually learn it? Tip: For your warm up - do the trick but catch the board only with front foot. Make sure you push the board forward. Kind of like you did at 3:00 but shoot the board more forward. Then when you have gotten a good feel for that, keep that feel of how leaned back you are, and start lifting your back foot more after the scoop and try to get that into the mix.
Hi. I'm in the same stage currently as in this video. If I land this tomorrow I will be thanking you back here. I've never heard of this tip so I'm excited to try
Front foot catch and you wont ever have to worry bout that happening again although its easier said than done.
I'm gonna have to keep that in mind, thanks!
Awesome vid 😊 really enjoyed watching you learning 360 flip, and getting really close too! I'm trying to learn 360 flips and sometimes find watching other learning/progression vids helpful in my trick learning process 😊❤👍💜 great vid, and sending one love for bruised n swollen ankles, I keep hitting mine lol 😅❤😂 keep shredding dude 🤟👊💯🔥
Hey man hope you're healing well! A few things that helped me learn treflips, hopefully they help you but everyone is different.
1) Jump straight up instead of to the side when you scoop. This helps you change the way you scoop so that it stays under you as you jump up. Jumping to the side causes you to lose some of leverage/pressure needed to get a good scoop.
2)I practiced scooping the treflip up into my front foot (catch), and land my back foot off the board. I did this for few weeks
3)Eventually I got so comfortable that one day I decided to trick myself and land my back foot on the board.
Hope this helps!
P.S. If Milton Martinez broke his ankle trying to kickflip into Sunset Car Wash Bank, came back a year later and landed that shit, you can fasho treflip!
I don't know if I have the balls like Milton Martinez, but appreciate the pep talk brother 🙏 I'll be keeping your tips in mind.
Keep trying bro, просто продолжай пытаться и ты ее поставишь
I enjoyed the video and I hope your ankle has gotten better by now. I had a bad ankle sprain last year and it took so long to get my kickflips again. You are very close to your tre flips, I think what may help is to try to keep a good posture when you try them. I noticed your shoulders are hunched over, making your weight leaned forward and causing the board to flip out away from you. Your foot position looks good though. I find keeping even pressure on the board and using that energy to explode through the scoop and flick helps keep the board under you. I subscribed to see the day you land it. Keep on skating man!
You're totally right, I do seem to hunch over all the time. Appreciate the tips man, and thank you for subscribing! 🙏
Mann you could’ve warn us about 0:43 with your explosive heel flip my guy
Hahah thanks bro!! Appreciate the support :)
Your doing everything correctly with the treflip, the thing that would help you improve the trick is to focus more on the scoop and stay leveled above the board. leaning to far forward the board will go behind you, leaning to far backwards the board will go in front of you. Try keeping yourself centered above the board and you will get the trick perfectly
Hey thanks for the tips! I definitely need to keep myself centered more, my body just seems to love leaning forward... So frustrating!
@@DJPark1 yeah make I understand how that can be. I’ve been doing treflips for a long time now once you start getting the hang out keeping them under you they become effortless. Just keep on practicing them and I guarantee you will get them in no time!
Man, you got those heel flip proper!
Thanks man! 🙏
Same thing happened to me a while back trying to learn tres. My front foot landed on the floor completely sideways and I had to deal with that injury for a long time. Fast forward a few years and I've landed a handful on flat and plenty on a mellow bank but getting this trick on lock seems almost impossible to me! I hope you get one soon man you were so close here
I've landed one while keeping the board still, but not while I'm moving yet... Hoping to get one while rolling by end of next year lol Thanks for the support!
@@DJPark1 I saw your latest vid straight after haha. Looks like you’ll be getting them rolling soon 👍
when you get back to it, try like skating somewhere where you’re comfortable falling, near a patch of grass, anything, you’re jumping and leaning too far forward which cause you go in front of the board messing up the scoop, maybe you can try leaning back, like towards the tail, not a lot but not too little, also maybe jumping higher may get rid of you leaning a little too far forward, i don’t really know if this can help as i didn’t really have e the problem so much but, hopefully it heals good and you find the secret to getting tre flips.
All these tips help, thanks! I'll definitely try practicing on grass or something.
Tips: place your front foot just under your bolts like for a simple flip. When you fail your 360 flip your deck is behind you because your front foot is too down on your board.Place your back foot lay back on the tail perpendiculairly. Roll, keep your shoulder face on the nose and scoop with a great kickflip in the same time. Cross fingers !
Ps: the secret to get a perfect 3.6 flip. Keep in mind your deck MUST rotate under your legs, not beside you. So keep your body above the deck . Your head just above the front bolds will help you. Don t give up!
And like your carpet near the garage door too !! I do the same !
Hell yeah man doin good. The trick to 360 flips is all in your back foot. Flick less and you’ll keep your front foot where it needs to be
I'm at this exact same point and rolling my ankles is such a huge problem for me
Rolling ankles is absolutely the worst, it's been about a month and half and now I finally feel like I can skate again. Don't give up my friend!
I give a tip, when you tre lean back a little and after you flick spread your legs, out then in, then in the air put all the pressure in your front foot
Yo i had this problem with tres for months. The key is center your shoulders on the board and pop and not scoop. No toes should be off the board. Then the board goes right in front of your feet. Gl heal up soon!
Thanks brother 🙏
I had this issue learning tres! Once you can skate again definitely try them fakie because it’s way easier and you’ll learn the scoop. The issue with these is your front foot should be closer to the bolts or with this positioning you need to lean back during the scoop thrusting the board more ahead of you. IMO I’d say learn them fakie and put your front foot closer to the front bolts for regular tres. Heal soon bro 👊
Damn bro that’s tough, same thing happened to me but on a 4 stair, Put my tre flip on hold. Been grinding out this trick hard for the past week, Finally learned them. From what I see you just need to get good at putting your weight back but also kinda toe side. Doing that and getting my front foot up as the board was still basically scooping us what got me able to do it. Good luck, you were so close you’re bound to get it soon
Nice, good for you man! Ya I really wish to get them before this year is over, thanks for the tips 🙏🏼
Omaiga same thing happened to me just yesterday 😕 just when I was getting supper close
SHEEESH, INSANE BRO
😭🙏
So I haven’t skated in 10 years but I’d say I was very good at tre flips. Popped them high and caught with the front foot. That said, I’ll try and diagnose your problem. I think the reason for a lot of people starting off landing ahead of the board has a lot to do with the front foot. When you flick your foot by rolling it up the grip tape kind of like a kick flip, it slows down the rotation of the board which causes it to stay behind you. You really don’t need to flick at all. Just have your front foot in the right placement and the pop and shove front the back foot forces the board to hit your front foot making it flip. All you have to do is jump and move your front foot into position of where the bolts would be while jumping. Also, don’t “scoop” so much. It sounds counterintuitive since that’s what you hear people say, but it’s more of a pop shuvit feeling then a weird kicking your butt feeling.
Thanks for the tips! Right after reading your comment, I went out and practiced. It's so hard for me to just let the front foot do nothing for some reason 😱 It's helping though, thanks a lot 👊🙏
I’m here for the DETERMINATION.
When I started learning tre flips, I would use the nose of the board cause it felt like I got more scoop out of it. Try to use the nose instead of the tail until you get them comfortably down. Everyone’s different in their style though.
wow.. very painful.. i was learning heelflips and it happened with a backfood..i landed on a tailtip and sliped under the tail. 6 weeks no skateboarding.. treflips.. i can catch only with front foot.. its always solid under my front foot.. but the backfoot i am stil not geting it on the board.. my flick looks also super good and waits for the catch only... get well soon
Good for you man! Yeah I may need to focus on landing with one foot properly first...
I did this same exact thing when I was learning tre. So close to getting my first one clean and bam rolled ass ankle. I hope u healed up okay bro, good stuff!
It sounds like a lot of people go through the same thing 😭 Thanks for the support!
Haha 😂
Same here one week ago. Same trick same injury. I paused for a week now. Its getting better ..
It's been 6 months or so for me and my ankle just does not feel the same.
@@DJPark1 bro did you eventually land it
@@SPRAKATTACK I did! I'd say I can land them now once every like 20 tries. I'll be posting an update video soon.
@@DJPark1 You know what's funny? I also did an "almost land" (both feet, but hands on the floor). The next day I was so sure I was gonna land one, then injured my ankle as well. That makes the three of us. LMFAO. I was hella sure I would never injure my ankle anymore. My brain wanted to join ya'll. Bought an ankle brace. Cant wait for your update brudda
@@SPRAKATTACK Yoooo 😭😆 That's terrible, but so funny lolll Hope the injury isn't too bad! 🙏
Love the DC shoes and the hustle. Crazy good heel flip and verial flip. But constructive criticism is that I feel like there need to be a land for it to be worth watching.. of course I appreciate seeing the process but a land at the end would have been satisfying. I feel blue balled :/
I'm sorry Joel! I wish I would have landed one then I would have definitely included it in the video... I do have a separate video up of my first 360 flip which was months and months after this. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Same thing happened to me on a routine kick flip late at night after a long session, might wanna check it out to see if you tore anything and be sure to do some rehab so you’re still able to have that flick. Hope it gets cleared up fast
Thanks man! 🙏Yeah I'll be taking it slow when I'm healed up... Hopefully this won't affect my skating in the future.
Not sure if you’ve landed any yet but a good tip is to curl your toes around the board with you back foot and keep your front foot in the middle of the board or lower
Right, I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome clip. Maybe mid or high tops shoes help prevent that happening again. Thumbs up.
Totally, just got some hi tops to skate in. Thanks for the support 🙏
Keep going man 🥰🥰
Thank you 🙏🏼
I don't know why this is in my recommended but I'm subbing
Thank you 🙏
I remember seeing my friends learn Tre's way back when and a thing they used to do was try to do all the catching with the front foot and ballerina the back foot. By that I mean then would bend it back like if you were trying to kick your own butt and then bring it down when they felt the catch.
Dang that sounds super hard 😯 I'll that keep that in mind tho.
@@DJPark1 It sounds a bit harder than it looks. It actually looks pretty funky but it helped get their foot out of the way to let the board finish the rotation. But I think frontfoot catch might help too.
omg, I've just found someone like me. I recently took up skating again after 10 years break. Been skating for a month or so. Now I am struggling with 360 shuvits (never landed before) and once it's done I am gonna try to land treflip (which I used to land fakie only). Anyway, good job man!
There's A LOT of us in the same boat man, keep it up!!
I had that exact same problem when I was learning tres. It was so frustrating
how did you fix it?
@@gasparddpx I used my back foot to scoop the board in front of me so i can catch it with my front foot
You almost got it👍
Yea dude I rolled my ankle on a tre flip and it took me out of skating for a about three months, now I’m trying to learn them again.
Hope you're back at it man!
You have to be mindful when you practice anything. Fatigue will only lead to injury. Rest, and practice smart and don't over do it next time. Just think how effortless it seems when Nyjah Huston does a trick. That's because 90% of the trick is mindset and flow/style. If your body is fatigued you start to loose fluidity with motion and that's when you have to know to let your mind and body rest.
I agree 100%! Definitely better to just rest and try it again the next day if your body is tired out, even if you're getting close to landing a trick.
I had the same problem back in the days. I kept landing my back foot instead front. But yeah, scoop is perfect. Maybe try not to jump in front of the board and stay under it. Wishing you a fast recovery for your ankles.
Gotcha, thanks for the support my friend 🙏
The problem is the scooping action of your rear feet. That's why the board landed far away
i sprained my ankle because i for 4hrs non stop and messed up a varial heel, it'll sound like a promo but i bough anklesupport for 60€ after my recovery and can not recommend these enough, dont know how many brands and models of them are out there but the ones i have are so subtle you dont see them beneath your pants and they really do what they're advertised to do, i rolled my ankle 2 times in them and apart from the short adrenalin shock i havent had anything after that, fucking love these things
Sick, ya I'll definitely be getting an ankle brace.
i would try and skate in the same shoes and find some you can buy all the time when you need new pairs. people don't realize it but changing somthing as simple as your shoes makes you have to relearn alot of microfeel things like the scoop of a 360 flip.
Man I did not realize that, I change shoes literally every session. I'll keep his in mind, thanks for the tip!
Ru rocking lnyx zero. Josh kalis best shoe he said before his pro mod.
They're Lynx OGs, collab with Utmost. They're good shoes, but too fat for me to be honest.
That looks so painful bro hope it gets better and you can get back and land it!
Thank you sir! I'm a little scared to try it again, but I'm getting close... Can't give up!
@@DJPark1 if you have that mentality you will succeed good luck bro
Hi, glad to see you landed your first tre (another vid of yours). I'm also >30 and have been trying to learn the tre lately after a 15years break from skateboarding. I'm also landing in the front of the board. But trying not to jump 1 meter forward / to the side, just try to do it under me and it worked best (once, in place, not rolling) when I jumped first and then did the flick - if you look closely at the beginning of this vid and compare to your newest vid then it looks like you also started to first jump and then flick, see whythetrick for explanation, it helped me a lot (watch?v=p7zNGLgqMs0) to make the flick feel lighter. Funny thing is that I just saw your video first time yesterday... a few hours after twisting my ankle! So now I'm in recovery :-) but seeing you finally do it on the newest video keeps me confident I will also manage. Thanks and keep it up! Oh and Crooked Grind is also on my list :D It's good to see people over 30 finally learning their dream tricks!
Hey! I'm so happy to hear about your journey. There are lots of people over 30 who wants to get back into skating, but there are just so many things that gets in the way. But even if you commit just a little bit of time , little by little, you will definitely improve and get there. I hope you heal up fast and keep me posted on your progress too! These type of comments keeps me motivated.
Wish I could’ve let you know before this video, but having your weight further back a little more and scooping forward like a Nike logo should help with the board not following you and landing behind you. Easier said than done but it led to my first lands of this trick! Get well soon ⚡️
Hey man, I went out to practice after reading your tips. It's actually helping! Thanks!
Trust me bro I’m going through it again to I’m 28 and just started again and I’m working on my treflips cause I’ve never landed one knocked myself out on a mini ramp the first day back
Ay man props to you for getting back on it!
Make sure your chest is centered above the board. That's what causes you to be over on the nose. Heal up and get it dude!
Thanks for the support! 🙏
Keep going
heal up fast bro, you'll gonna get that soon
Much love!! 🙏
Same problem with tres for me. Hopefully we can both overcome this problem soon!
No kidding man, thanks for the support! 🙏
Sprained it again today from tres !!! Sick !!!
@@ericperalta8949 bro noooo 😵 Hope you recover fast 🙏
lean back, get the board turned 90 degrees before touching the tail. 2 biggest tips that helped me.
the board going forward...you should follow the board too
you got this bro
Fuck man I’ve rolled my ankle at least 6 times the same way. I’m fortunate enough to have pretty durable ankles so I haven’t experienced swelling that bad, just soreness/stiffness, but goddamn do I feel for you. I hope your recovery is going well and keep grinding 💪🏻
Tres are so fucking hard. I’ve been grinding for a minute trying to land this one. I try leaning back to avoid the ankle roll, usually land with my feet pretty square on the board, but slip out like there’s no tomorrow. Then when I put my weight forward I either land with my front foot in front of the board or I roll my ankle again. I’m so tired of this shit lol
Hahah oh man sounds like you're getting close! I know how tough it is trying to get that one trick... LET'S GOO!
Sooo gooood
Broke my foot a month ago trying to learn pop shuvits. It just happens
yooo you gut some steezy heelflips bro
People have been saying that under the comments, thanks man!!
Ur back foot has to be farther back. Like right on the edge of the board, or you can scoop forward more
I stop skating when im 18yrs old and I'm 32yrs old now iback to playing skateboard again, and practicing this tricks to.
Keep going!
I learned to try and catch it with the front foot first. Let it jus flow up and hit the front foot. And then started to watch the back foot too land. and being very very light on my feet
I think that is what I will focus on for now, front feet first. Thanks for the tips!
Matee, i got the same injury when i was learning boardslides 😂😂 then even my ankle didnt heal yet, after 12 days i tried to learn tre flip and i landed the same way on the same ankle, so now im on my third week of no skate after my second ankle roll :D cant wait to skate again, lol
You went for a new trick just 12 days later?? You're brave 😂 Hope you heal up fast man, injuries suck!
Right as you pop immediately shift all your weight to your back and your front facing shoulder over your front foot
The exact same thing happened to me I wanted it on film so bad but I was tired and it was slippery so I rolled my ankle so and it took months to heal.
Just like me 😞
Bro you were like super close! Also god damn ankle rolls are the worst! How's your ankle now?
I know right!? That's why I was so damn angry at this injury... Almost a month and a half later, I'm finally feeling okay to skate again. I don't know if I'll try treflips right away just yet though.
@@DJPark1 You shouldn't try them again right after. Your ankle needs to strengthen again then it'll be better than new. I'm also glad that you've healed up ! Keep up the spirit man 🛹😎
@@cohngo Much love man 🙏❤
@@DJPark1 Hey man, I came back all the way here because I wanted to tell you that today I've finally landed my first ever tre flip! After 3 years of struggle I finally did it. I just wanted to share my hype with you cause your video was a spark of hope for me 2 years ago when I was so concerned that I can't kill my bad habit with this trick.
It took me a whole month to land this damn trick...
It's looking like it'll take me at least another 6 months lol
Took me around 3 months to have them fully on lock
you're almost 30 😮 I see this is 3 years old now, from when i started skating. I'm 47...30 is nothing, just you wait. Nice battle, i've just learned 3 flips too, but its far from a trick i can say that i really know :)
Sick
You have to almost forget about trying to flip it entirely and primarily focus on the scooping of the board. You have a great flick which is awesome though 👏🏽 if you put your back foot more hanging off the board instead of having it all the way on the board it will have slightly less pop but more consistently get the full rotation in turn will composite for both the board going behind you and the board over and under flipping as well. 2 birds with one stone. Just one slight adjustment will drastically improve the trick I promise 🤘🏽✊🏽
Yooo that totally makes sense, I'll keep that in mind! Thanks for the feedback 🙏
Been working on mine for about a year, I wanna land it so bad, one thing I think will help you though is too have your back foot more off of the board
Yeah, he needs to let his toes hang off a tad more. I haven't landed mine yet, bc I actually did the same he did. Didn't have my toes off enough. Then like 3ndays ago, started to have my toes hang more, and also I had to train myself to not open my shoulders, bc that makes a huge difference, but also easier said than done. I had to train myself to keep my shoulders parallel with all my tricks, bc I naturally just do it when I'm learning a trick, and tbh, I figured out that's the very last thing I learn right before I land a.trick I've been learning.
fk man, I sprained my left ankle SOOO many times, mostly heelflip. my final one was an ollie off the curb in 2017 and I was 26, by far my worst ever. I don't think my foot ever looked like that, but dude, we're getting old man... it sucks because sprained ankles take me off the board and set me back so long in progress because I lose tricks... looks like your basics are back though. but as for tres, a huge prob is the type of scoop (I hate that word). yours look like when I first started - you're kinda squeezing them out from under you, and it goes way in front of you. I would recommend keeping your back straight, don't lean forward, and only using your foot/ankle to scoop because I think you're also using your back leg to push. your knee/leg should only push downward and the scoop should come from your foot/ankle only. we kinda confuse those two when we first start tres, and use our leg to scoop as well which pushes the board way in front.
Thanks for the detailed feedback man, I'll keep them in mind!
Hope you heel quick when you get back you should try to just focus on catching them with your front foot only and just let your back foot land on the ground this will help your front foot land more on the bolts and your back foot will come naturally eventually. Get well soon
Thanks for the support! 🙏

@@MK-xw1rp Jeez, sounds like a A TON of responsibility. You can maybe take some itch off by cruising around the block, skating doesn't always have to be about flips and tricks!
