Nice. Love your tutorial. Using 3D is so good idea. Your using only gouache? Is that the default tools on CSP?

Thanks! Yep- just the default Gouache. I occasionally changed the color mixing, but mostly just let it be.
I'm going to upload the slowed down 3D process too, along with some other 3D tutorials. It's such a strong tool 🤘🤘

Really cool workflow dude. Hope you don't mind the question, I'm sure you get this a lot, but ..is there a reason why, apart from monetary reasons, you don't just use Photoshop over Clip Studio?

I'm gonna give you the essay response. I figure if you stopped by to ask then you would appreciate the full answer. It's kinda what my channel aims to be about, eventually.
So I do use Photoshop. Constantly, actually. I use it for freelance and I teach a couple classe on it at a University here in NYC. In both cases though, I *have* to use it. For my personal work, I use Clip Studio or Affinity Photo/Designer or Infinite Painter.
Basically, I don't think Photoshop deserves their monopolistic industry placement. I also think the subscription model they've adopted is a big middle finger to the userbase. Beyond that, it's just buggy. So whenever I have personal work or smaller freelance gigs, I jump into a Photoshop alternative. I focus on finding ways to approximate the production ready workflows Photoshop offers, and I record everything using OBS. So once my schedule clears out (this summer.. finally.. HOPEFULLY ha) I can begin editing all that footage and publishing content showing how these "alternatives" are actually every bit as good as Photoshop. And for a very small fraction of the price. It all ties into the larger goal of showing that free and cheap substitutions are all you need. Many people can't afford the top end gear- and they shouldn't be lead to believe they need it. I do $3000 illustrations on a $225 tablet monitor, $25 painting program, and a free 3D app. This should be considered the top end for beginners- and it could easily be done on a free 3D app, free painting program, and a $45 xp-pen deco tablet. Another bonus is that these other apps run flawlessly on almost any setup- keeping the cost of laptop/workstation in "no real video card or i9 needed" territory.
There's a small novel of an answer for you lol. Thanks for swinging by and taking the time to comment too 🙌

@@SourPlanet Thanks for the in-depth answer. I feel the same way about Adobe. Currently they have me trapped in their Substance eco-system. I look forward to your future videos as I find myself being drawn more and more into a hybrid 2d/3d workflow.

Thanks! I've got a big pile of stuff coming down the line. I recently started a teaching gig, so I'm going to be translating all that coursework to my channel 🙌🙌
