the deeper the water the bigger the fish you'll catch also. you can make a makeshift deep water fishing hole by manipulating the terrain under the water and just going down as far as you can, probably around 60-80u depth will give you bigger fish faster!
Those Stelarpollen Surprise percentages are no longer correct after the patch. I don't know about the others but I'm sure the percentages have changed after the patch as well.
