If NIO can't differentiate itself with NIO houses and lifestyle perks so that they have to give more and more discounts and incentives they should get rid of the NIO houses. What's the point if the have to compete based on discounts like everybody else?

Well, you can't compare these companies against Nio really . They don't have a battery swap moat or sell high end evs.
I don’t know XPEV showed increase in margin and same with Zeeker according to their last quarterly reports from just a few days ago.
NIO focus on quality and stay d course. Consumers will prefer paying more on quality car that has long range. Fast charge, won't burn d house down with clear path to FSD

This to me is more than enough evidence of a economic or financial war against China.. This is just 1 of 4 other active types of wars with China now!! These are A trade war, a technology war, & a geopolitical influence war... The last one is a real shooting war, thankfully we aren't there, yet!! This is according to Ray Dalio of Bridgewater and associates. The world's biggest hedge fund...
To me I am more thinking along the lines of... If NIO will be allowed to go to valuation levels considered normal for US EV companies?? Or a valuation that isn't drastically reduced?? This in a way could be a determining factor of how the "market" & its ethics or lack thereof will eventually show itself.. Right now I am extremely skeptical of not only the US stock market & how Chinese firms are completely devalued on it.. Also the US government is moving to an all out carte blanche of anti China measures across multiple spectrums.. Signs of the times..

The biggest bat shit crazy China Hawk in the US government, is now spearheading an entire High powered AI based highly secretive program..Funded by the CIA's investment arm.. Nobody knows what these guys do.. All of this stuff is undisclosed.. Government contracts are the biggest contracts of Palantir.. As much as you try to dance around it I give you credit for bringing up some negatives. NIO cars may be quality, Since I have never seen or driven one I will not say anything negative about them, NIO's problem is the stock. In any time frame you want to look at it has been one of the worse performing stocks you could possibly hold.
I bought a property in Europe. I saw a BYD car there but never a NIO. Would I buy a NIO? If the quality is good and the price is right I would. NIO stock I would not touch and anyone trying to pump it to get people to buy the stock have to be on the NIO payroll. Terrible investment. With more price wars it will not be a good investment in the future.
I saw quite a number of NIO cars in Shanghai. Definitely way more on the road than 6 months ago. Not too visible in Beijing yet

Biggest issue is those other companies got bigger pockets. They have profit from their main business to fund the ev price war.
EV Market is entering the shake out phase. The ones that will survive are the ones with high cash balances/cash flows. Nio has good access to cash but it may be wise to slow down cash burn as we wait for others to die out
If NIO doesn't make it, it doesn't sound like a good time to buy a NIO (Battery swapping and all)

You're sounding doubtful about the future of NIO.
Sounds like NIO does not have exclusive rights to battery swapping, and the free swapping will affect profitibility.
Competition is ramping up in luxury market. BMW, Mercedes and Audi are going to bring new EVs to the market. As well as Huawei and Xiaomi technology will make the competition against NIO very formidable.
NIO management needs to focus on streaming their business instead of chasing everything to do with the EV business.
Zeeker won’t release the 2026 version till this time next year the cycle will get longer. Nio does need to get their 3.0 versions out to take their sales from 20,000 to 30,000. Vouchers who cares 20, 30, 40, 50 vouchers who cares they will run out and become paying customers way better than unlimited, or a certain amount per month for life.
Nio will sale 240,000 next year unless they release 3.0 vehicles and that’s fine as long as they sell a few hundred thousand L60 and firefly cars.

One of the worst run managed company. 4 months of bullshit excuses as usual for Nio and there operation. I knew this would happen they can never deliver on anything they say.
