Wow Nichol! Who knew it could be so easy and cheap to boot to do your own French nails?! I’m like you. As far as I’m concerned French nails are always beautiful and classic. I also love other red and pink colors, nudes, black. But Frenchies are gorgeous also. Thank you so much for the “tips”!
I recently found you when searching for nail solutions during this Covid shutdown. I was impressed with your video on using the french tips. I did my nails today with all the products you used and I can't believe how well my nails look. So easy, effortless but they look amazing (especially taking off old tips from a now closed salon). TY for sharing your info. Sooo happy now lol.
My Sally’s didn’t have them but the lady told me to go on Amazon and get them, so I did. Can’t wait to get them and try them out. French tip has always been my favorite manicure.
Dear Nikol. Thank you thank you for this tip. I had ordered the thin nail tips however they never arrived. So i ordered them again and they finally arrived yesterday. Did them last night and I'm absolutely thrilled. My nails looking absolutely amazing. THANK YOU AGAIN. Love your videos
Fabulous information! I stopped getting manicures because of the fear of infections. Even though where I was going appeared to do everything right ... you just never know. I will search for these "smiles" and the gel top coat. I live in a small town so I'm on my way to visit Amazon. Thank you Nikol for all you do in helping women.
Nikol, I just love you even more! I’m a manicurist (28-years) and I love when you share nail vids! I’ve specialized in natural nails forever when I became allergic to acrylics. The products you selected are all products I’ve either tried, or currently use. Nail tip-Rescue RX by CND is an incredibly good nail strengthener for natural nails. It’s been clinically tested & the results are on the packaging. It’s what I always recommend to clients who have come out of artificial enhancements, especially acrylics or dip powders. Thank you, you’re always on top of the beauty business game. 💕
Hannah C Cosmoprof (at least in my area) seems to have very limited CND products. They do carry this product but I’ve seen it at Ulta, Cosmoprof online or Amazon. I’m sure if you have a good online nail supply they might carry it as well.
Oh my gosh game changer!!! Can't wait to try these! Had no idea this existed!!! French is my default look, you can never go wrong with it. So classic. Thanks for sharing this!!
I went natural after September 2019, and it really took a while (almost grown out) for the weak part to grow out! I had great nails prior to starting the gel. THIS IS AWESOME!!!!! Thank you!
I use press on nails all the time, but I had no idea these tips existed! Amazing! I usually prefer lots of color, but every once in a while a French manicure looks so clean and classic. Glad this video was recommended to me. New subscriber. Your hair is gorgeous!
I just found your channel and I love this video! I quit going to the nail salon because of cost, inconvenience and I could never find a nail tech that does good work. This is a game changer! Going to try it! I love your hair by the way.
You are my go to lady on all my womanly needs and this one you hit home for me. I also don’t like having to go to the salon weekly or every other week to have my nails done and I love French tips and could not do it my self till now.👏👏 I’m so excited to go and get these. I hope my Sally’s has them 😘😘
Oh, WOW!! Have never tried these white "smiles," but I am going to find some now! I gave up the nail salon visits a few years ago and do my own manicures now, and I always use Seche Vite top coat to dry everything quickly. Love your classy videos.
I just recently found your channel, been binge watching and I love your videos. Honestly, I never thought I would even entertain the idea of not hiding my gray, but you make gray gorgeous and not as scary. Not sure if I'm quite ready for the journey, but I do love the idea of getting rid of the chemicals and all the root touch ups! Thanks for being so open with your journey. Oh, and I really like this French Manicure idea, would you consider doing a follow up to let us know how long it lasted for you? Thanks!
Thank you and congrats on dipping your toes in the idea of gray hair!!!!!! I can get 7-10 days out of the manicure depending on how crazy I am with my hands ie dishes etc
Love a French mani! You are so right they will never go out of style. I have been using the nail polish strips by Incoco and thought they were awesome.....until I saw this. Can’t wait to try them. Thanks Nikol.
Love this, can’t wait to give it a try! I was exactly like you, resenting the time and money, drilling, etc. of the dip nails. Quit about 8 months ago, but really missed having nice looking nails. Time to shop for these products! ☺️❤️
Yes Yes Yes. I have been doing my nails for several years now. These are perfect and they look just as good as a salon visit, which can take an hour and a half or two, depending on what else is going on in the salon. And talk about a money saver. My gosh. Once you get used to doing your own nails, you will never go back to that dreadful and time consuming salon. Or, that is my take on it. Thank you Nikol. This video was awesome and very informative. Your nails look perfect and no one knows but you, that they are not put on by your favorite salon nail tech. Yes Yes and Yes!!!!
What???? Omg! Thank you so much for sharing this french manicure secret. You did an excellent job on video and got right into the details! I love how inexpensive it is and love how easy you made it look. I'm gonna get all these products. Love french nails. Agree! This look will never get old. Guys love French nails!!! Ty🤩
Hi Nikol, Wow...this is something I will need to try. Believe it or not I've never had gel nails or fake nails. It looks easy enough and I thank you for showing us your secret. ❤️
Love French manicures! On hands, as well as my toes! I’ve used “Nailene French Tip Guides” which I got either at Sally’s or Walmart, with my own white that I’m partial to, then top coat (again your choice), and then a drying spray. Perhaps more labor intensive, but very kind to your nails. I don’t like a super-chalky looking white. At the nail salon they term it “American French.” I suppose if you use the Nail Bliss product, you can tone down the white tip with the polish you’ve referenced. I found that when I stopped using nail polish on my fingernails and started just using a buffing cream with a chamois buffer (Sally’s), my nails became healthier than they’ve ever been. I thought I read a long while back, that this is the way Sarah Jessica Parker does her nails. I keep mine buffed, and for a little extra bright nail tip, use the “4-in-1 Nail White Pencil” which I found at Sally’s, applied to the underside of each tip. I’d give the name, but I’ve sharpened past it! Love your videos, Nikol!
I have used these. Thank you, Nikol, for the tips. Can’t wait to try the the Seche Vive. You always show me tips that I have never tried or thought of.
This is a fantastic video... I am trying to get mine healthy now as well!.... I am definitely going to try this!.., I totally agree with you about a French manicure being classic... I love it!... thank you so very much for sharing this!!!!💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for this post! I LOVE THIS! I am on my second week. One tip, I got the thicker wraps so when it was time to redo them I just took off the nail polish, filed down the length and buffed them again and reapplied the nail polish --good as new ---I love that I can get more than one wear out of the wraps!
Perfect timing! I just took off my gel nails because I was tired of the upkeep AND it is so damaging to your actual nail. I am still in the damaged nail grow out period But will give this a shot to make them look even better during this time. Thank you for sharing 💅🏻
THANK YOU! I never would have know about the tips.... and YES, French nails will ALWAYS look elegant! GREAT info and I am making a note of the products. Bless you!
Oh my goodness you are saving me! I've tried lots of french manicure hacks and they have been so "cheesy".I am a spot yourself-er with my nails as I am not able to spend tons of money and time on my nails. . I so excited to try this. Thank you thank you!
WOW I’m going to try this. I also love French nails I stopped getting my nails done around the start of Covid and it took them 2 yrs to look healthy again.
Oh Wow... I love it. I haven’t done my nails in 5 years. I don’t even put clear on. My nails get long then I have to cut them down. I just didn’t want to pay all that money anymore, plus I wanted my healthy nails back. But I am going to try this! Thank you.
Been using these for years whenever I want French tips...classic, sophisticated stuff! Seche Vive....my ABSOLUTE FAV because I love the glossy, wet look in EVERY color I use, including my French nail.
I bought the tips and they really work! I love the way it looks. My left hand looks better than my right (dominant) hand...but I will get the hang of it! Thanks Nikol!
Love love love french nails. I also LOVE Red Aspen Nails as well. Quick easy affordable and beautiful!!! I also used to have my nails dipped and gel. I wish I have found RA long ago and I would have not only saved moeny....but beautiful nails and like you tons of time!! If you would like to try...let me know and I will gladly send you my informations. Love your channel!! i have needed this!! You have encouraged me to finally put a bit more effort in since covid. I have been sheltered in since March. Last night I colored my hair for the first time in over 30 years, deep conditioned, trimmed my hair, gabe myself a facial, all new skin and makeup products....and just began walking and soon to do a juice challenge. Thanks Nikol....I needed a jump start!! Hugs & prayers...k :)
LOVE the French manicure, just finished it. My only suggestion is to make sure you put polish on right away just like Nikol does in the video. I was in a hurry and didn't and 2 popped off but no problem just replaced them right away with this set.
Have never seen or heard of these before! I’m willing to give them a try. I have tried other French nail kits with the stencils and I’ve never gotten them to look good. Plus most nail salons charge extra to do a French manicure so this could really save money. Tfs! ❤️💚💜
Nikol, thank you so much for teaching us this. I love it and will try asap. I play the piano at church and keep my nails short, plus I crochet. I'm going to whip my hands back into shape!❤️
Just bought a kit of these tips and wow, wow, WOW!! thank you so much for the fantastic tips!! These were so easy and on my first go I got almost all of them on straight (lol at having to redo a few more than once!!) They're strong, pretty, and look nearly professional (enough to pass every day wear). Unfortunately the Deborah Lippmann color you recommended is no longer available, but I"m experimenting with other colors. So.MUCH.FUN! :)
I use gelish for years. It does not harm nails, to the contrary, makes them thicker. Comes off easily with a liquid. Lasts 1-2 weeks. I do it weekly on hands and monthly on the toes. If I do it myself, I need 45 for a process from a to z. 15 mins to take it off and filing and 15 mins each hand, 3 layers of polish plus top it off. If my daughter does it for me, its 30 mins, since she can do both my hands in parallel. Nice nails can make a day.🙂💅☀️
Love your channel Nikol. I have tried the Kiss Petite nails in the French Manicure and they were wonderful. Very easy to put on but I didn’t put quite enough glue on so they did not last long. Otherwise, the nails looked very real. Thanks for these tips.
Great video. I just bought and received 500pcs from Aliexpress. Was looking for ways to apply them. Yours looks like the simplest and most effective. Gonna do my first client in them tomorrow, will probably do a Tutorial on my Channel also. Thanks, so nice to see another over 40’s woman doing her thang on here. Very encouraging. 👏🏾😉
Definitely a winner for me...I recently started going back to salon...however its not worth the extra money...Id rather put that money to other use...thank for sharing 🤗
A friend gave me a whole lot of these nails, I just could not get them on. Since lock down I have taken off all tips, so I will take the time to do these nail tips. Love french nails
I use an acetone nail polish remover and these are just wraps (not extension tips) so they dissolve with polish remover very easily. Thank you I love how my nails look so much better with this mani.
I just ordered products last night. I've been doing the dipping powder for nearly a year. It's been nice but I'm ready to save some time and money. I have been told I have oily nail beds so it's difficult to keep regular nail polish on them. Fingers crossed that it works for me. 💅
@@NikolJohnson My order arrived today and just in time. My dipping powder nails were so long and looking rough! LOL! The new French tips are amazing! Easy application. So glad you shared! Thank you!
Fun video. I'll have to try these tips when they come back in stock. I LOVE the seche vite products and have been using their base and "dry fast top coat" for years. No more dinged up nails! I'll have to try the gel coat you show here. Thanks so much for this info. Love ALL your videos. Keep up your great work sharing the joy and beauty of being silver! :)
This is Awesome and once I figure out how to get my get overlay off lol I will definitely try this! What else can I do for at least 2 more months!?! 🤷♀️ Very nice job and easy!!
Hi.....I haven't been able to find the nails or the nail polish. I have looked for months. Have you found a replacement nail tip? Also the nail polish is hard to find as well. Please share if you have you've found another brand of French nail tips that work as well. Thanks so much for always sharing your beauty tips and knowledge.❤
5/26/2022. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! …and ALL of your videos. I appreciate you and your work so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ I saw your recent video in which you referred to this one and I’ve watched it a number of times! I’d watched it before but hadn’t been successful in finding the nails via mail order so it went on the back burner. Yesterday was the day though! I went to Sally’s and got everything but the hand cream or the nail color (they don’t carry Caudelie or Lipman). I purchased the only box of these nails ($17.99) that they had (I hope they will continue to stock them.) They apparently quit making the thin nails. However, I went to Walmart afterwards for nail polish and noticed thar they had Kiss brand for the same price so that’s an option if the other brand has been discontinued. The simple French nail isn’t “the thing” right now. I agree with you! I love French nails-they are both classic and classy! They will never go out of style if I have anything to do with it. I like that look for toes too yet I haven’t done it in a long time (requires practice and a steady hand!) but I ALWAYS wear polish on my toenails and always have. My mother used to polish them when I was too young to do it myself! I digress… I needed a nail polish similar to the Lipman you used. I bought Essie-the only brand that was translucent at my Walmart. Btw, I checked eBay and Amazon for the thin “smile line” French nails and they had none-“googled” them too but found nothing. They’ve been discontinued too long. The thin ones must not have sold as well-the only reason they would be discontinued. They could be trimmed with a dremel tool if one was determined! I may consider doing that if these are too much. Much love! 💖💖💖
Thank you for this information, I'm definitely going to try. Just curious, how do you remove them? Do you use cotton soaked acetone and apply for a while?
French nails are the classiest, classy never goes out of style.

Was at sally's when they opened. This was so stinking fast! Under 30 minutes and looks great!
I LOVE this! I agree, French tip is classic
Love this - thank you my Geru . You are so classy yet real.Dont ever change❣
Definitely a winner for me...I recently started going back to salon...however its not worth the extra money...Id rather put that money to other use...thank for sharing 🤗
Such a great idea. I am definitely trying.thank you.
I agree! French manicure always on my hands and color on my toes...💖💖💖
Wow! Stunning and sophisticated look, love it.
I've been having my nails done for 30 years, I absolutely HATE sitting there for over an hour! I would love to do this while I'm working at my desk!
Wow! Awesome.
Thank you Nikole.
Will be going to Sallys this afternoon to get them. Love the way they look let’s see how it goes.
I luv the French nail look! My go to
A friend gave me a whole lot of these nails, I just could not get them on. Since lock down I have taken off all tips, so I will take the time to do these nail tips. Love french nails
What kind of nail polish remover do you use to remove the gel, and tips ? Your hands and nails look lovely 💅
I use an acetone nail polish remover and these are just wraps (not extension tips) so they dissolve with polish remover very easily. Thank you I love how my nails look so much better with this mani.
This popped up and is awesome!! I'm going to try this, or have you changed up your routine? Thanks!!
I just ordered products last night. I've been doing the dipping powder for nearly a year. It's been nice but I'm ready to save some time and money.
I have been told I have oily nail beds so it's difficult to keep regular nail polish on them. Fingers crossed that it works for me. 💅
Ohhhh let me know if it works for you!!!!!
@@NikolJohnson My order arrived today and just in time. My dipping powder nails were so long and looking rough! LOL! The new French tips are amazing! Easy application. So glad you shared! Thank you!
Your hair is stunning.
Try the Deborah Lipmann Addicted to Speed top coat... It is the BEST and I've tried everything. Dries every coat of your polish almost immediately.
Wow! That is an awesome way to do nails. Definitely going to try it! Thank you 🙏🇨🇦
Wow this is genius. I want to do this now🤩
I totally agree ! Have worn French manicures for at least 20 years !
Much love! 💖💖💖
Oh my goodness. Who knew. I love this so much. Must try.
Does nail polish remover remove the tips? Love this idea x
You look amazing and gorgeous as usual. I'm going to try this for myself. Thanks for sharing it.
Thank you for this information, I'm definitely going to try. Just curious, how do you remove them? Do you use cotton soaked acetone and apply for a while?
Your wedding rings are gorgeous! Are they an heirloom or old? Beautiful no matter what! When our isolation is over, Im going to Sallys!😅
Faith Schroeder I ordered off their website. Taking a minute to get here due to the world crisis... but at least I don’t have to wait😇
Can’t wait to try this!! Exactly what I need. Thanks sooo much for sharing!!😍😍😍
I love the pink with OPI “bubble bath”
