Any update? Did he run out of the school for cover? Look closely. In the beginning, he almost appears to peek around at first as if he'd already seen a guy with a gun walking. Why did he hold the corner of the wall to look closely and not keep walking? I wonder if he'd already noticed the gunman? Was he going to the restroom?

Absolutely sickening. Over 400 officers who were prepared, had all of their guns and everything, couldve clearly taken down the shooter yet they decide to wait outside while small innocent children and teachers are being shot, and they’re clinging on to their lives while the officers are doing nothing. i always thought of myself as a freezer or a runner, but in a situation reminiscent to this-in terms of mortal harm to a child-i found that all 105 pounds of me immediately turned into a marine with absolutely no coordination but all the determination in the world. it is unfathomable to me that someone (IN FULL GEAR AND HOPEFULLY TRAINED) would turn tail and run. i would rather have died in the line of fire than have to look at those kids in the eyes when their faces show up on the news.
i’m also a psychology student and i understand the fear, hesitation, etc. the bystander effect could have played a large part in this, along with literally any other psychological theory if you consider it in the right way. unfortunately, humans are intrinsically set on survival. people without impulse control deficits (which doesn’t include me apparently) probably get stuck in their head more.
right up until it got towards the end, when people were trying to rush forward but quickly fell back as shots began firing again, must’ve been snapped back to reality.
so many things could have happened here and the sad part is none of it had to happen in the first place, if this pig on two legs didn’t do this.

At the end of the day civilians shouldn't have guns.

Police typically are responsible for maintaining public order and safety, enforcing the law, and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities. These functions are known as policing. Police are often also entrusted with various licensing and regulatory activities"

They responded on time, had their barriers set up, had to maintain the public and family's from running in (dangering themselves and others), stop pres, make sure there's surviours, wait for back up, get the right equipment, squad up, storm in and they took care of the threat. Unless also you think as soon as that shooter pressed down on the trigger the cops were meant to be there anol ? If so you are deluded.

It is not appropriate to say that the timing of a little boy during a tragic event is a blessing. The loss of life and harm caused during a horrific event is a tragedy that cannot be minimized or justified by the timing of any individual's actions. Furthermore, it is important to recognize that this statement may come across as insensitive or inappropriate to the families and loved ones of the victims who have suffered immeasurable loss and trauma. It is important to express empathy and compassion towards those affected by such tragedies and to focus on honoring the memory of the victims rather than singling out an individual for their timing. In summary, while it is understandable that individuals may feel a range of emotions in response to a horrific event, it is not appropriate to suggest that any individual's actions during such an event are a blessing. This is literal agony for me to watch. I can’t even imagine how their families feel. Useless cops ran away like children when the actual children didn’t even get the chance to run away. I am not a parent, I am not a cop, I am not particularly strong or brave, but I would have ran into that fire, no hesitation, for children.

but hey, you'd feel like a hero for your last second on earth... even though you wouldn't have been. Leaving your family without a child / sibling / parent / etc.

And it looks like an elementary school no less, or at least an elementary section of a school. I live in Canada and basically noone could enter my elementary for long without being noticed and called out. Front entrance has the office and it has no walls, administration can see everyone who walks in and out. Even my highschool, which was noticeably easier to get into, you'd have a tough time not being noticed fast. Was noone at school this day? Was there an unattended back door that would allow entrance? Was the front administrators office not in view of the front entrance? Lots of questions

This guts me in the worst way. Hearing those shots and seeing the men running back from them. Those kids had nothing. They had no tactical gear, no helmet, no weapons…. It’s disgusting to see how these men react. I run commercial office high rises for a living and we are required to do active shooter training as well. I’m now terrified that the things they taught us are not being followed in this video by the people we trust with our lives.

Indeed. This sickens me because they are worried about their own lives over these children,.. This monster lost all of his marbles and went and took it out on a bunch of innocent children, and teachers.. While The police here were cowards, Texting and calling people as it was all un folding and law enforcement is supposed to be the light after the darkness... Someone you are finally happy to see and hear from. They let him do his thing for so long and he kept control of the situation.. This is why we need to see these things... I am not saying all Law enforcement at all but these bunch of cowards disgust me.. I know I am not a police officer, but if I were I would make sure I did my job day in and out, not matter if my life is on the line.. It would be the safety of others over myself...
