Jasmine tea is Zuko’s favorite, not Iroh’s. Though he loves all tea types and flavors, that honor goes to Ginseng tea.
Nice one. I forgot about that. In my comment I only pointed out that Iroh is the Grand Master of the White Lotus not just a member.
A couple of my favourites are Oolong & Bengal Spice
@@sharronbrennon899---My favorite tea is Earl Grey. I love how it tastes and smells.
@@brokenbridge6316 my mother made a cup of earl grey for me once, i did not like it
Just don't give Iroh hot leaf juice.
Iroh and Alfred would be best tea drinking buddies.
Indeed.
I would still back Alfred in a fight though.
Those two could easily offer each other some curious insights over some tea.
Adding shares advices and own experiences, about how to deals with the stubborness of Zuko and Bruce.
And they would learn from each other too
Iroh wouldn't fight Batman at all. Instead, he'll invite Batman for tea.
And will become a pal of Alfred.
You might be right about that
Indeed he would for all his strength Iroh was a man of peace
@@ddooodddooof course he was a man of peace... War is made by weakness. Weakness is provocation, and to be peaceful one must be capable of violence but have the restraint to not use it until necessary. Weak minded people will put into positions of power those who will convince them that the public good is served by giving the malicious desires of the leaders to them.
As long as Batman doesn't say.
"It's just a tea".
“If you look for the light you will often find it, but if you look for the dark that is all you will ever see”
Words to Live By Friend. Words to live by.
Curious on how the Dark Knight will take this
@@TerminatorGundam300---Me too.
I thunk he said thus to Aang while they're underground in the Earth Kingdom if I remember correctly
@@TerminatorGundam300 yeah, this quote is perfect for Bruce
Iroh is the living personification of the classic saying “Three things every wise man fears are the sea during a storm, the night sky with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.” He is a paragon of wisdom and peace, but if you get him angry, you’re in BIG trouble.
Couldn't agree with you more.
Just ask his prison guards.
Same with Zhao. He’d probably rather deal with angry spirits rather than Iroh.
@@alphabladelm2011him stepping to Zhao was one of the best scenes in the show. At that point we didn’t know Irohs history and kinda just thought he was a lazy but wise old man. Seeing him extremely protective of the spirits was awesome
Batman is forgetting an essential advantage Iroh has over him: he's an incredibly lovable father figure, while Batman faces the tragedy of losing his parents daily, and has been shown on a number of occasions to still long for them. If Iroh were to become a threat, he would not need fire to defeat Batman, merely a bit of warmth.
That's a very insightful way of looking at the situation.
The most powerful, ultimate weapon that the coldest of warriors could barely stand against... a hug🤧
Thats why batman aside from having a contingency plan, also is considering going to him for advice
Iroh: ...Actually, those aren't bad ideas. Far from it. In fact, I would say you are right to have contingencies in case something happens.
Your methods, however, though born from a well-meaning mindset, leave a lot to be desired.
Batman: Perhaps. But knowing what I know, and living where I live--
Iroh: Yes, Gotham City _does_ breed that kind of negativity, doesn't it? And knowing what happened with the Regime in that alternate timeline *_nececcetates_* a contingency plan for each member of your Justice League in case they go rogue.
But there is a fine line between cautious and paranoid, between preparation and, again, paranoia, that is all too easy to go down.
That can breed all sorts of nasty ideations that can poison even the most saintly plans and ideas, and turn you into the thing you fight against.
Batman: ...Like Ozai.
Iroh: **sadly** ...Yes. My brother is indeed someone who let his ideations poison his mind. And he let that darkness fester and rot inside him.
Batman: I have to face people like that on a nightly, sometimes *_daily_* basis. People who think they are owed something by the world, that they have been wronged by society... Or that life is a meaningless joke. Two-Face, The Penguin, Riddler... The Joker...
Those are just *_some_* of the Rogues that I have to contend with, on top of more tragic figures like Mr. Freeze, a corrupt political system, and only God knows what else.
Iroh: That is... A lot to put on one person.
But you need to remember that you do not fight injustice and evil alone.
You have allies, friends and fellow heroes to watch your back.
Trust is a very fragile thing. But it is more durable than so many give it credit for, and it can make even the darkest of times brighter than the sun.
You do not fight alone.
This is exactly what a conversation would be like between these two. Particularly while sitting in the Jasmine Dragon drinking cups of tea.
Wow 🥲
I was reading this in their voices in my head. I too feel like Ritter conversations would look like this.
Nicely done. Could easily hear their voices as I read it.
Mako and Kevin's voices. Just excellent conversation. And one of the things that I liked about Batman The animated series is that he was still a humanized character, you could still empathize for the most part but it seems that a lot of the comics have stripped him of that humanity.
Here’s a plan for Uncle Iroh.
Listen to him and take his advice.
Agreed.
I would do that in a second
Would love if that was the contingency.
Iroh is basically what Alfred is to Bruce. He’d never want to harm another one’s paternal figure
That's quite true
Also, I LOVE that you concluded this video with Batman stating that even HE would be willing to seek council from Uncle Iroh.
I'm imagining not only Alfred, but all the Robins and Batgirls and other young members of the Batfam seated at a table with tea and uncle Iroh.
Meanwhile Zuko is telling Damian to cool off.
@@RJALEXANDER777 LOL THAT would be a conversation worth watching ... 😆
Imagining Red Hood at that table...damn, Jason has been through enough, he does need some calming tea. Imagine a chat with him and Iroh.
@@TheChangelingGamer I wonder if Zuko would be sympathetic toward Red Hood's story or not?
I love how Bruce is clearly thinking: "I wish I had mentor like him when I was preparing to become Batman."
Tbh, imagine how cool it would be for them to have just *_one_* sit-down for some tea. I don't imagine Bruce will change much, but the peaceful and worldly insight Iroh would impart to him would at least make him a warmer and more open people-person around his family and team. 😊
Also I'm shocked Batman hasn't brought up Iroh physique and standard martial prowess that allowed him to break out of jail like a "one-man army".
Good point. Take away their bending and Avatar characters are still superhuman kung fu masters. Iroh could stand up to Batman for a while even without bending.
Iroh and batman are like both opposite they both suffered loss, but iroh learn how to make peace while batman learn how to fight conflict
Rather then fighting i think Iroh off bat (Pun) would probably get a sense of internal conflict inside bruce, Giving Iroh a chance to help him find peace and balance within him Further more would even teach him some bending styles to integrate them into his fighting style.
That's true. I wonder what those two would say to each other if they ever met.
Even the nature of each man's loss while opposite is complementary and parallel.
A father who lost his son and a son who lost his father. (And mother.)
I feel like you (along with many writers) misunderstand Batman
Batman fights because he doesn't want others to go through the same stuff as him. He usually sticks with street level threats because he knows the other supers don't bother
@PyroGothNerd no I understand but he never allows himself peace he uses his pain as a drive and a mission to fight criminals and Psychopath's.
It's not healthy, yeah he only does it to insure no one ever goes through what he went through but it's not healthy with irohs help and guidance he could help him weave through his guilts and issues and help him find balance.
Don’t even need one, just have some tea on you
True
🤣
well
he has had a couple of times when that doesn't help: the water tribe attack and water spirit death.
Contingency Plan Code: Silver Eyes
Subject: Ruby Rose
Or contingency plan Dork Knight: subject Jaune Arc.
Batman having Iroh in his corner would be awesome.
Batman would start off prepared to fight him and end up drinking tea with him and discussing philosophy.
Uncle Iroh is so kindhearted that even Batman won’t use his trauma in the contingency plan
"Master Bruce, you must let go of your anger. Look deep into your heart and ask yourself, what is it that you fight for? Do you truly fight for justice, or do you fight to lash out at the man who killed your parents?
Are you truly the hero Gotham needs, or are you an angry boy fighting a never ending war against a ghost?"
Could see Iroh saying something like this to Bruce.
I think the best plan regarding Uncle Iroh is to just hear him out and take his advice to heart.

The stalker from warframe for clarification
From Warframe? Nice one!
⚠️ SPOILER WARNING!!! ⚠️
Considering he now has a child to take care of, I'm not sure he's that big of a threat anymore. He's now more like a father who wants to find a place in the Origin System for himself and the child he and his former love have created together.
@@tgtterrorizor3407*ANOTHER SPOILER WARNING*
Are… are they gone?
Is it safe to say anything yet?
If he still manages to be a threat, try to get a copy of the Warframe Jade. The original Jade is his wife, and he can’t bring himself to kill her, so that may be the key to preventing him from slaughtering people!
Warframe or Worm?
Alfred: Master Bruce! You intend to treat with or engage a master tea connoisseur and you did not consult with me? I'll forgive it this time.
I can imagine him saying that.
@@TheChangelingGamer "Oh, Alfred - do not seek to get me started on brooding heirs..."
@@shoresean1237 And you know when he says heirs he's doing that sort of like growling dropped to the sound of his voice. Like he's emphasizing a period behind the word as he says it
@@AdmiralStoicRum There is an old, semi-obscure SNL skit with Mike Myers called 'Lothar Of The Hill People' - kind of a pre-Bronze Age talk show. That was where I got the 'do not seek to get me started' line.

I think this could be cool to see Menendez's planning mind game and high tech weapons against batmans
Contingency Plan: Code Purple
Subject: Zebediah Killgrave/Purple man
Blocking out his mental commands is all Batman would have to do. Purple Man's screwed otherwise.
I thought Kilgrave’s commands started at the biological level. They can still be countered but it’s a bit more than blocking out the mental side.
Imagine if Alfred had magical kung fu fire powers. That's essentially Iroh.
I’d pay top money just to see Iroh and Alfred chatting and exchanging stories, philosophies, and wisdom over a cup of tea!
Contingency Plan Code: Killer Bee

Soon to be 58. Remember, they’ll give us Cyte-09 in the winter.
I would have also accepted Codename: Second Dream, but Child of Void is cool too.
Why do I hear a space shanty coming in?
@@dalekrenegade2596 I guess if Batman can’t find a way to make a contingency for the Tenno, he’ll… be “sleeping in the cold below,” won’t he? 😉
So the real contingency is to bribe Iroh with tea so that he becomes your psychologist. An excellent plan!
I love the fact that nearly all of Batman’s contingency plan for Iroh is: “bring him tea and listen to what he’s got to say”
In my opinion that’s a true Batman contingency plan
Contingency plan code: Court's Adjourned
Subject: Judge Dredd
Nice code name
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Batman has a contingency plan for somebody who is so good and pure that even Batman himself thinks that his contingency plan likely won't be needed?

This is genuinely heartwarming to see how even Batman recognizes just how genuinely incredible Iroh is as a person, and even acknowledge that none of this could be even necessary.
Iroh truly is something special. ☺️
Definitely my favorite video from you.
Now if you’ll excuse me: I have a show to rewatch.
(Miss you dearly Mako. You’ll never be truly forgotten by us all.)
Contingency Plan Code: The Sailor
Subject: Popeye the Sailor Man
Iroh: Hmm, a most generous gift indeed, Batman, but you did not need to go so far for a little advice. Wisdom and friendship are gifts beyond purchase, whose true value can only be known when they are freely given.
Rare tea and a non-flammable basket trap. There you go.
If sorrow had a flavor, it would taste like Iroh's tea.
Iroh would just try to help Batman with his trauma and find peace while drinking tea...
I'm imagining an alternate universe where Iroh is the first person on the scene after Bruce's parents died. He probably still becomes Batman but he's much more mellow. And he drinks a lot of tea.

Batman, Whatever you do to Uncle Iroh, I'll unleash on you tenfold!
Never expected Iroh to get a contingency plan. Might as well make a contingency plan for Ozai.
Love how most of this is actually just Bats showing admiration for Iroh and cracking down on how the only reason this plan even exists is strictly because nature is unpredictable and shit happens.
That means next contingency plan should be about Anne, Sasha, and Marcy, from Amphibia contingency plan code: Oh frog.
