That is the best interpretation of all I've heard. So deep, full of concern and anxiety. I do not know how Scarlatti meant it, but light melancholic versions of other musicians seem to me less moving.

This is excellent. I also really like Evgeny Bozhanov's version.

Deeply felt performance of one of Scarlatti's most beautiful sonatas. A lifetime of experience in his playing.

Totalmente d'accordo. Gilels un genio. Ma anche il nostro Scarlatti, genio assoluto.

I would like to think that the best part of the Art of Piano is still to come. However, when I listen such masterpieces played by preterit geniuses like Gilels, makes it harder for me.

I really like this performance! I know how to play this piece, it is NOT easy to play beautifully like this. I nearly gave up.

Scarlatti was born in 1685, the same year as Bach and Handel. Incredible.

Rameau was born in 1683, Telemann in 1681 and Jan Dismas Zelenka in 1679. Is that less incredible? Musical giants seemed to inhabit the earth then... Not so much now, to say the least, as far as I can hear.

Scarlatti had this ability to fuse the incredibly sweet and plaintive. Divinity itself
