I am trying to go vegan. What would you say tahini tastes like? I’m a big fan of mayonnaise and realize that I need to stop that. But, I’m just curious about tahini. Did I hear That you can be allergic to it?

Really liked this video. I particularly like the idea that this is for kids as well. My 9-year-old granddaughter is interested in not eating meat as she feels for the animals. But Someone has told her that children aren't allowed to NOT eat animals... It wasn't her parents. I think she got it at school.
What a terrible thing to tell a child. So sad. If we tought our children to be kind to all beings, the world would be such a better place. If all animals deserved respect, imagine how much less violence there would be in the world. Most diseases in the us are diet related too. Chew on that for a mn. Good luck with her and i hope you encourage her curiously in the matter. I was the same as her growing up and ended up pescetarian because i thought vegan was unhealthy. Went vegan 6 years ago and nothing tastes as good as vegan feels.
@@1auntievenom I have had a lovely conversation with her about it. She was amazed that I don't eat eggs, milk or cheese even. It definetely flies in the face of all that she has been told at school. I live in Norway and this is a BIG dairy-producing nation. It always makes me sad to see the advertising here that says the government encourages us to drink milk every day for strong bones.....

I said Ewww out loud before I knew I had done it. She replied 'i gotta have my protein ' ugh, I had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from going on a tangent!

A bit of a suggestion. If you like southern style Tuna salad, use a small bit of crumbled tofu as egg. Black salt makes anything taste eggy

Amazon sell butlers soy curls. You can soak them in a Vegan chick stock squeeze them out then just cook with them as you would any chicken

I would imagine people have allergies to just about anything. Tahini is similar to a nut butter, but made from sesame seeds.
