As a woman it is next to impossible to reach the level which you have reached in predominantly male dominated oeuvre of Sitar playing. You respect everybody. There are very few artistes who respect other artistes. They have Bhaktaganas who admire only themselves.

Mr/Mrs Nxt Generation Music, When you watch any one artiste it will be nice of you to say or stay silent on that particular artiste. It is not graceful to ask the channel manager to share video of other artiste. I have great regards for the artiste whose Sitar you are asking to be played but each artiste has different, unique style, we as lovers of music must enjoy all sorts, all Gharanas, all artistes. If I am wrong please say it here. Please don't take it in negative manner.
Wishing Sahanaji all the best but really amazing that she has no respect for Vilayat Khan but then it is her misfortune that she was talking of such high philosophy but failed to show minimum respect to Vilayat Khan I think this is also a part of talim from het gharana and the great names she has taken
You have misunderstood...i have respect for all the great legends that I have mentioned in my interview.,some names i have missed out doesnot mean i am not respecting them...how one can disrespect Ustad Villayat Khan,Ustad Rais Khan,Pt Balarm Pathak,Ustad Shahid Parvez ,Pt Budhaditya Mukherjee,Pt Manilal Nag,Pt Indranil Bhattacharjee Ustad Nishat Khan,Ustad Irshad Khan so on...even Sangeetacharya Lakkhan Bhattacharjee who was also one of the pathfinders of Sitar baj but name is hardly taken now adays ,some names are missed out does not mean i am disrespectful..BTW..it was my brief interview ,please don't make it controversial...
