"It's not going to be a rock crawler". Immediately wants to get full skid plates. I see some rock crawling in the truck's future. :)

I glad you are happy with your purchase. To each their own. I worked there until last month. Seen these 2 years ago, and was driving me nuts not posting pictures. Me I would never buy a first year vehicle. Should have waited until next year and got the 6.4hemi or 3.0 diesel.

  • @dmwil1

I'm with you. The 3.6 is a darned fine engine. The gen 2 in the JL and Gladiator has a little more torque, and you can feel a difference. For a Jeep, I want reliability, and the stock 3.6 fits the bill perfectly.

  • @monkeyman41333
    @monkeyman41333 5 лет назад +1

Love the fact that you are content with the stock 3.6 engine, and don't want to do a ton of mods to it. See so many other channels where people are constantly upgrading the motors trying to get more and more power. Thanks for keeping it real.

What I love about your channel, aside from the great rigs and awesome trips, is that you don't bash other vehicles. All offroad vehicles are welcome, and that's what it's about. Doesn't matter what you're driving, so long as you enjoy it. Congrats on your new Gladiator! Looking forward to seeing it grow, and hopefully accompanied by some Tacomas and 4Runners every now and then.

Looking forward to move gladiator discussions!!

The best thing about this video is just how EXCITED Brad is with his new Gladiator! He's talking about 2X faster than normal, moving 2X faster than normal, and he can't stop smiling! Love it!
Brad is someone who will really use this new Jeep as it's designed.
No doubt the new Gladiator is awesome. Yes there are cheaper mid side trucks, and in some cases more features, but they are not Jeeps. It's a Jeep thing!
Brad, that Off Road function is basically Cruise Control for Off Road.
When in 4X4, you set it with the shifter to a select speed, 2MPH and under, and it will hold that speed either going up or down a hill/road. It's a pretty cool feature. It will self brake and accelerate the Jeep.
You should have gone directly to Jeep to save some money. They owe you, and several other You Tubers, a ton for credit for helping support sales.
This video alone will result in many sales. The pay millions to advertisers and these videos probably have a bigger effect.
    Congrats on your Gladiator...

I don't know if you know this or not or if its already been mentioned in the earlier comments but you can lock the backseat from folding down by using the key fob, flip out the metal part, then look on top of the backseat just to the right of the headrest you'll see a hole matching your key. Put key in matching hole, then turn... locked backseat.

It is also is a great strategic decision and will allow you to produce videos on a product everyone is interested in to maintain or increase interest in your channel.

Congrats on the new truck! I hadn't seen much about the Gladiator so it was fun and interesting to see what you like and don't like about it. I also enjoyed seeing the similarities and differences with my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I can tell you right now your Jeep had way, way more back seat room than my truck. My 18 year old son is 6'2" and can't even come close to sitting back there any more. Tacos have a similar underseat storage system and it's a great place to keep basic tools, mechanics gloves, recovery straps, small first aid kit, hand warmers and mylar blankets (we live in snow country), and I keep my receiver hitch under there. Just make sure you pack it correctly with some soft goods so the rattles won't make you crazy. Can't wait to watch the progress of your build. Enjoy!

Love the video. Not sure if you mentioned them in a different video, but the doors are easier to remove because of the reach thru grip. Plus the hood latches. When I bought my JKU, I drove it 5 miles home and ordered new latches. Jeep did a good job with these. I live in a very windy and rural part of south Texas. the hood latches were the first thing to go on my JKU.

I've owned two Rangers, and wanted to like the new one, but there's plenty of ways it went wrong for me. The Gladiator is comprised of so many smart, aware design choices, and is such a nice ride for a non-off-roader like myself, who just wants a truck to enjoy as such.
