Electrical engineering student here mid semester
30 minutes ago I was in a real bad mood about the amount of homework we got over the weekend and the upcoming mid semester tests, and now, after watching your video of the whole process and the final outcome, I got cheered up and motivated again for the study of my passion.
You inspired and continue inspiring a generation of future engineers and for that I'm only greatfull.
    Thanks Mark.

Well, this occurred to me already, as soon as I noticed that this experiment was about a precision drop from a high altitude. You may be able to roughly predict such a drop, considering wind speeds at different altitudes, but not to the precision of some mattresses. This premise is simply defying an engineer's intuition at all levels. So, yes, of course the exclamation of the experienced professional engineer was: "what...? You want to hit a small target at high precision from a high altitude, using DIY stuff and a prayer? Ehh...okay...".

I really appreciated the way you talked about the failures. Specifically the big one, the interface between the systems... Feeling like a failure defines you is crippling and you showed the healthy way of coping with and framing failure as an opportunity for growth. That's huge. Thanks for the mental health awareness and just real human feelings you bring to your videos.
