John Payne was such a convincing actor. Miss that kind of acting.

Trevv - I met her granddaughter last year at Comic Con, here in Palm Springs. She was taken aback, that I knew her grandfather, John Payne and her grandmother, Gloria De Haven.

I liked your great Aunt Gloria DeHaven very much and you could not help but see Gloria in a film sooner or later because she made so many movies back-in the-day. I love the way she would not say anything bad about Judy Garland or Joan Crawford. One of my favorite films with her was a musical called "So This Is Paris" with Tony Curtis. That film always stuck in my mind. And she had the leading female lead for a change in that one.

One of Skips better interviews. He is more subdued and is letting her talk without cutting her off.

So many older actresses turn sour or become hard in nature, not her. She is talking like she is talking to you or in a general conversation. I vaguely remember Skip but I remember I did not care for him. Now I see, it's probably because his interviews are a hit or a miss. When he makes that connection he pulls out a great experience that you want to see. Gloria is a classy woman no matter what age.

Camera is far too close to the subjects, nonetheless Gloria Dehaven is a very interesting lady, a pity the interviewer keeps talking about himself.

Gloria Dehaven was an epic talent! but Skip Lowe is a dreadful, self centered interviewer...Just a goofball...he did this for a living on PBS?
