My first instrument was drums at 7, but when I first learned about cymbals, Paiste was my immediate favorite! I fell in love with the 2002 series ever since I first heard one. Then I come to find out most of my favorite drummers play Paiste! Danny Carey, John Bonham, Ian Paice, Phil Rudd, Stewart Copeland, Nicko McBrain, Mikkey Dee, Alex Van Halen….C.J. Need I say more ? I’m getting the 900 series since it’s a friendly price, but I love all Paiste cymbals!! The dark energy and signature are my favorites outside of the 2002 series. And the PST 7’s are a great sounding budget series as well :) keep rockin !!

Lucky you. They are the best. They are so much clearer sounding than other cymbals. I'm using a set of sabian B8's. I would be happy with a set of 2002"s Great vid. Thanks.
You dserved it! Well done. About your choice of cymbals, except the china I liked all. I like my chinas a bit more throaty. The Hi-Hat is just amazing. Never heard a 15" sound that crisp and defined without being too dry and low pitched. Great crashes and those splashes are really cool. Your fx cymbals sounds amazing btw. Cheers!

Just wondering, didn´t it feel strange to change your high hat? I have used some different cymbals through the years, but my Zildjan high hat has been with me since I was... 13 years old? I just can´t imagine changing it. I regret I sold my heavy Zildjan ride, that was amazing - extremely clear bell sound. Funny enough I have two Paiste splashes, that I refuse to sell. To funny to play around with. No "masterclass", 505 series, 8" and 10". I don´t think they make them anymore, but I love them.
Not at all! I’ve change hi hats many times, since they all sound different. I mostly used my homemade dry hi hats, but when I got the 602-hats - it’s been hard to go back. They sound extremely good in the studio and they sound really nice live, while other hihats I’ve used only sound good in a certain setting. (I.e the dry hi hats have a hard time getting through the mix in live settings)
The Paiste PST-5 and PST-7 are great budget cymbals, and they’re the same alloy as the 2002-series 🔥 Pearl and Yamaha makes great and sturdy hardware for all budgets.

I mean you can put together fx cymbals yourself (like stacks etc.) with a different range of cymbals. And they have a looooot of brilliant cymbals. Check out the different Signature series, 2002 + Big Beat
