Too late! Too late! The Motör is the heads! In all sorts of metal heads! And Satan says, Lemmy's life live through our sinus. As long as we keep fücking rocking out, Motörhead lives!
I met Mikkey a couple of times at Motörhead gigs…super friendly guy and more than willing to hang out and shoot the shit with fans for a few minutes. I’ve seen a LOT of shows over the years, and I don’t think any drummer hits harder than Mikkey. His energy is incredible even in his 50s.
Idiotic non-Drummers, that is who would give this a Thumbs Down. Mikkey has been one of my favorite drummers ever since King Diamond released "Fatal Portrait".
That was so beautiful to watch. The dedication and passion that this band has with they're music, is far beyond the crap that's out there today. I miss them very much. This is what rock and roll is all about.
M.D. was spot on about that power ride. It's not for wusses; takes some getting used to learning how it responds to the stick in the way you hit it and where you hit it. It's a mini flying saucer; very heavy and just big all around. Better suited for loud, amplified heavy rock music where a lot of that "bleeding" is absorbed in the wall of noise from your guitar and bass stacks being carried out to the audience. Great ride cymbal but sounds the best with the right style and volume of music played. Buyer and ears beware!
I just picked one up used in VGC for a steal. One of my favorite rides ever. It did take some getting used to but I am a heavy bell player so I got used to it pretty quickly.
They sound great "but unfortunately I go through a lot of these babies". Hum...... If you get them for free...not a problem. But for the rest of us.....not a ringing endorsement.
Holly Hell That Was AWESOME!!!! Saw King Diamond as a kid and I was immediately blown away by Mikkey Dee's drumming, thus becoming a lifelong fan. This spotlighted performance of "Sacrifice" encapsulates one of the best heavy metal double bass grooves of all times and why Mr.Delaoglou sits atop the mountain of heavy metal forefathers. Thanks Paiste for posting this!!!
My all time #1 favorite drummer i just love the way he plays he has so much energy and he is truely animal of the drum set they way he moves and he is a way good drummer Mikkey Dee rocks!!!!
Last time lars played ride cymbal was in master of puppets..he never touched it since then..And we can all agree that the loss was on him..He become the most boring drummer ever....
He said they didn't sound "heavy enough"... He could have used a Z Heavy Power Ride, and been set! If he used Paiste, a 3000 RUDE, or 3000 Power Ride (back then).
Sacrifice album is one of the best albums by motorhead, I still have it on Tape. It's my favourite album and the title song he's playing from it is also a great opener
His work on King Diamond's classic albums is amazing work. He said playing with Motorhead was more challenging, definitely the best band, he is a true Motorhead. Crazy how long he has been with Scorpions already. Time is flying.
The thing that's bugging me the most in life at the moment is that I never got to see this magic live. I was merely 15 years old when I truly discovered motorhead and 16 when Lemmy died later that same year. I can still lose my shit to live recordings though. What really worries me though is the high probability that we will never see the likes of Lemmy again. Not in my lifetime anyway.
Oh my god, how much I miss Motörhead!
Same here, dude.
Set burner as your alarm and sacrifice as your ringtone. It helps
I really do miss Motörhead, such a great band
Too late! Too late!
The Motör is the heads!
In all sorts of metal heads!
And Satan says, Lemmy's life live through our sinus.
As long as we keep fücking rocking out, Motörhead lives!
Saw Motorhead live like 20 years ago. The most powerful drum solo I have witnessed in my life. Hats off to this fine gentleman.
I remember that tour, he kept throwing loads of sticks during the solo. Think it was 2004 that tour was or 2003. It was in dublin ireland i saw them
Mikkey Dee is one of the greatest rock drummers of all times.
Yeaaaahhh.....
That’s the perfect heavy metal drumming! Heavy, technically perfect and without exaggerations!!
The Legend Mikki Dee. Just listen to his work with King Diamond, "Them", "Conspiracy" and "Abigail".
Tis true!
And ,Welcome home .
His work with King Diamond is top tier. Phenomenal
Fudido.
Yes my friend....Mikkey is a Drums God....King Diamond, Motorhead, Scorpions
“The best drummer in the world, Mikkey Dee!” - Lem
As someone who saw him play with both Motörhead and Scorpions... He's great but not the best
@@remove_marko And king diamond
@Steven Pounsett that's how lemmy would introduce him so take it for what it is to Lemmy he was. He is a monster that's all I know
Lemmy is God.......He knows the best!
I prefer Philfy, but Mickey is great
Mikkey Dee is a beast behind the kit.
His Paiste cymbals really cut through and can really take his pummeling.
I met Mikkey a couple of times at Motörhead gigs…super friendly guy and more than willing to hang out and shoot the shit with fans for a few minutes.

Very true about how hard Mikkey hits - when Matt Sorum depped for them, Matt sounded like a jazzer!
Who would thumbs down Mikkey?! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Idiotic non-Drummers, that is who would give this a Thumbs Down.
Mikkey has been one of my favorite drummers ever since King Diamond released "Fatal Portrait".
Most probably bots. No way someone dislikes this!
For real,dudes a monster on a kit.
How can you tell when YT remove that statistic long time ago!?
I disliked it because me and my church are terrified of king diamond and Satan in general.
That was so beautiful to watch. The dedication and passion that this band has with they're music, is far beyond the crap that's out there today.
I miss them very much. This is what rock and roll is all about.
That ride is killer
Which model is that?
Sounds goddamn AMAZING.
@@SalemmeNatan 22 inch signature power ride the whole signature line to me is the best
@@xxnycstruballaxx, thanks!
Fucking bell cuts!

I have a 2002 Power Ride in 22" which is also a very similar beast, just a bit lower in pitch than the Signature Power Ride.
This needs more views.
It was just posted today. Give it some time.
The best drummer of the world... Greeting from Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have loved you since King Diamond...met you at the Rainbow in LA when my hair was much longer and a lot less grey.
Keep on keepin on brother!!!
Yes! His work on Abigail is what introduced me to him.
The bell on the ride is friggin awesome. I want that cymbal

Underrated drummer, but the best heavy metal drummer 💯
They sound great "but unfortunately I go through a lot of these babies". Hum...... If you get them for free...not a problem. But for the rest of us.....not a ringing endorsement.

Unparalled for metal,very true
You are right about that!
Tell me I'm wrong
Zildjians for me best for metal

Paiste Cymbals and Sonor Drum are great combination 😊
This version of “Sacrifice” is different to the album, Lemmy’s got extra lyrics. Which version is this from?
When Snowy Shaw gives you high praise you know you're good.
NEVR CAN UNDERSTAND HOW HE WOULD LEAVE KING. KING RULES
Fckn Beast ! ... 🥁
Motörhead war einfach eine richtig geile Band. Die Power der Lieder ist ohne Gleichen.
Awesome
Mikkey Dee is one of the few drummers who absolutely deserves a Coca Cola endorsement.
Lars claims to not like the sound of a ride cymbal, but I'm thinking he saw Mikkey working one, and got discouraged.
Last time lars played ride cymbal was in master of puppets..he never touched it since then..And we can all agree that the loss was on him..He become the most boring drummer ever....

Playing with the Scorpions?! What a wasted talent....
damn that is one sick beat
I love Paiste too, master Dee \m/

So many like Zildjian. I’ve always liked Paiste better, and I’m a guitarist. Weird, right? Lol. I know good sound. Paiste has it!!! The best.
saw Motörhead Sacrifice (+ Drumsolo) Stage Fright among many other times
Over than 12 thousand, and where is the likes?
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Mikkey Dee demostró ser un gran baterista en el disco de King Diamond Faltal Portrait.
How come Mikkey isn't on a Wheaties box?

If was looking for a metal drummer. Mikkey Dee would be at top of my list of drummers.
The beast
I've got a bunch of Paiste cymbals. They're great!
Insane. I could make a video like that playing welcome home of the King
Amazing drummer!!!! Great explanation too!!!
I love Paiste Too!
His work with King Diamond is first rate.
Still, I wish cymbals weren't a billion dollars each. That would be great.
Fkn wicked drummer powerhouse!!!!!!!
Top notch 👌

Paiste for 40 years. 2002 and Signatures.
Mr Dee your a Beast.
How many lugs does that 14"? tom have..? 🤔
"Bye bye, boys and girls". Almost as he has been watching Nico McBrain's drum videos.🤣

I never noticed so much use of double bass drumming in Motorhead music! Impressive!
(I'm not an avid listener also, so that might be the reason)
Oh believe me it's a staple in Motörtunes
wake the dead comes to mind too
This song is BERSERK. It's like a mean ass engine idling with like 10 million horsepower in fits and starts.
Just killer drumming - cymbals sound awesome
I was lucky enough to see him live with Don Dokken in Norfolk, VA 🤘 4:02
the man hits like a truck! What a performance
BEAST of a drummer !!!

What you are witnessing is the greatest metal drummer of all time. RIP Lemmy
