@@soundwave2481 Has the Son been killed yet? Was that in Rebels somewhere that I missed? I think Darth Maul would have done well as the Son since his whole being was that sort of anxious rage. Why would anyone be immortalized as the Son without a similar situation to Ahsoka's resurrection, though?
I love how Ahsokas attitude and demeanor changes after meeting Anakin again. She has been very stiff and abit too stoic, almost to the point where i didnt recognize the Ahsoka we all know and love. Its clear that fighting and being a soldier is all she has ever really known and from the start of the show it seemed to have really jaded her. Its good to see her finally accepting that there is more to life, more to being a Jedi than just fighting and war. Seeing "Ahsoka the white" again, as we saw her at the end credit of Rebels is a joy. A new outlook on life, with a smile and a positive attitude once again. A renewed vigor and purpose in findning both Sabine and Ezra and stopping Thrawns return. After abit of a slow but still enjoyable start to this series, i really have high hopes for the back half of this season. The final linchpin in making this show truely amazing is seeing how Thrawn himself is handled. Im really excited to find out if they do him justice as well.
Regarding her being 'jaded', I'd say it was more her being burnt out. She was 14 when we first met her in the Clone Wars (22 BBY) and 17 when Order 66 came down (19 BBY). Ahsoka is set between 9 and 12 ABY, putting her from 45 to 48 years old at this point, basically 30 of those years spent fighting. That'll burn anyone out.
That scene of Anakin flashing between Vader as he was marching along with his troops was an all-time moment for me from any movie or other TV series! I went through so many different emotions, and i still get chills watching it every single time 😭
This episode really made me realize how much ahsoka changed during her life. She used to be whitty, joking, and able to have fun. But as she experienced more loss over the clone wars and finally the crushing emotions of order 66 she became very stern. As if burying her emotions as a coping mechanism. She didn't seem to live, didn't have fun, she just survived. After facing Vader and realizing he was Anakin, she seemingly became afraid of showing emotions even more as she was unwilling to train Grogu, fearing his attachment to Din would lead him to dark side. And I think that's one thing Anakin was trying to teach her, to not dwell in the pain of the past not fear it, not blame herself for what happened, but to live life and enjoy it. She might have even considered just giving up and letting herself die after being defeated and failing to protect Sabine.
He only appeared as Vader to teach her the lesson that she needed. You have choices to make that can lead you down either path, but you cant stay indecisive.
The only part I would have changed is to add a section where Ahsoka gets to see parts of Anakins life, not only hers. Imagine her seeing him losing his mother, loving Padme and dreaming about her dying, and Palpatine manipulating his love and passion. Imagine someone finally having an understanding for Anakin
This episode had so many beautiful postcard worthy shots, from Anakin and Ahsoka standing face to face, to running off into battle.......I'm still trying to recover from this episode. Who ever would have thought we would get to see a live rendering of the Clone Wars???
I hoped but also didnt expect to see beloved Clone Wras in Live Action!! Also with real actors, the realization hits really hard how young Ahsoka actually was in that time! Like we know she was young in the animated show but in live action it really becomes clear!
I was amazed by this episode. It made me feel like I did in 2005 as a high school kid seeing Revenge Of The Sith for the first time. This was absolute redemption for Hayden Christensen. He was able to play Anakin so naturalistic and charismatic in this episode
Since they made it canon that Rex was the bearded endor rebel (meaning he's still alive hopefully) id love to see temerua play him outside of a flashback.
It was undescriptible how i felt watching this, i have watched clone Wars since i was a kid and actually that's what made get into Star Wars. This was truely amazing
My head cannon is that those clones that have blue coloring in the first flashback (aside from the one that’s clearly Rex) are part of the main clones from the 501st like Jessie, Kix, Hardcase, MAYBE even Tup!
@@Crunkboy415 I disagree. In the animation she doesn't seem this young at all to me. When you realize she was as young as she was in that last scene is the age she was when she faced Maul. It's crazy to me. I love it.
@@nonagrey3422Ahsoka was 17 when she faced Maul, but the actress was 15 during filming, which is why she appears a little younger than Ahsoka's actual age at that moment.

That buildup at the end with the music and visuals and the final farewell with "May the Force be with you" reminded me so much of the ending of _Rebels_ . I wonder, though, if Ezra will even want to come back. A lot can happen in 10 or so years...
I feel like when Huyang said "They never listen", he's also thinking of every other Master-Padawan pair in the history of the Order that perished since they didn't stick together 😔
the moment her eyes turned too in the reflection of the saber was a great moment symbolizing the choice she had to make, is she all anakin was, or was she going her own path. so well done.
"I've heard that before" was a direct reference to Luke's "I will not fight you, father" from ROTJ... this was Dave's way of letting the audience know that this was indeed a post Vader redeemed Anakin.
Yeah but given that this is a vision of anakin in ahsoka head anakin would only have the knowledge that ahsoka knew he had, so how does she knows that luke said that to him? Like make it make sense.😂
@@AaronJ_99 except it was not a vision. There's a reason why Jacen was able to hear the lightsaber duel. The World Between Worlds is not a place that can only be entered physically through portals, it can also be accessed through a state of mind and through the force. If anything, the fact that Anakin said that line was a hint that this was not a vision. Please use that little brain of yours next time and don't let the points fly over your head.
I shared this with a friend after watching the episode: My initial thoughts: seeing her in live action seriously drove home how young Ahsoka was during the Clone Wars. It was a startling realization for me. It's one thing to know the number (age) in your head, but live over animated, it was a gut-punch.
Don't know if anyone here's said it or not, but, I see a parallel between the final scene of *_The Empire Strikes Back_* in which Lando promises to Leia that he and Chewbacca/Chewie would find Han, and here where Ahsoka promises to Hera that she would find Sabine and Ezra 🤔🤯🥺🥲🤗😉👍😌!
When Anakin said “I’ve heard that before” after Ahsoka says she wouldn’t fight him, he was referring to what Luke said in RotJ. He just compared Ahsoka to his son. It even parallels that fight, where they are forced to fight him, win the fight, and choose to spare him.
This was a GREAT episode. That dream sequence was incredible. Amazing visuals and very emotional to watch. We got to briefly going back to the epic and legendary Clone Wars!
This episode was awesome and great I give it 10/10 because of the clone wars flashbacks, Live Action Captain Rex, Hayden Christian's Anakin Skywalker Clone Wars armor and a Young Ahsoka Tano truly marvelous and groundbreaking 😀👍🏽😎👍🏽😀
When Dave Filoni comes to battle... my man comes out swinging HARD. Bless you Filoni. You have given us what we have imagined for 15+ years. In a few short moments, we have witnessed the culmination of our dreams and wishes. Live action Anakin and Ahsoka... from current timeline to the beginning of the Clone Wars to the Siege of Mandalore. Through trials, you have learned. And in your learning you have birthed something that is beyond believable.... beyond our wildest imaginations. From master to apprentice, master to apprentice... you have become a wiser Jedi than your forebears. Take up your mantle, you have more than earned it. The legacy lives strong within you. I cannot wait for the next piece of brilliance you bring to the Star Wars Universe.
Beautiful reaction. We've been truely blessed by Dave. This really only the beginning for him with what he's going to bring to the live-action side to the franchise! So exciting🎉❤
9:27 Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end.
That would have been a bad lesson though. Letting go of her guilt should be independent of the effectiveness on any hypothetical action she could have taken.
@@Ockerlord Maybe that's why it was cut? I would like to see the scene, to know what dialogue was in there and to also better understand why it was cut.

Anakin has become the mortis god and we're all here for it, being able to switch between light and dark and harness both sides of the force as he wishes to prove a point and educate ashoka for one last time, he showed her how to harness her strength into becoming a warrior, but his final lesson is for her to choose how to live, to embrace both sides of the living force rather than fixate solely one aspect of it
Been waiting all day for your reaction. Definitely the best Star Wars TV episode yet,and those glimpses of Vader were just perfect. Next week: _THRAWN!!!_
There's still a lot of unanswered questions like how did Ahsoka end up in the WBW? What exactly was Anakin's presence there? A hallucination or was it actually Anakin? Did he become a Mortis God? Really hope they were deliberately vague on these things because they'll be answering it later in the show
I think its definitely really anakin. When ahsoka says she won't fight him he says "I've heard that before" referencing when luke said the same thing in RotJ, which ashoka couldn't have known about. Imo she ended up in the world between worlds because she almost died. She wasn't in the water until she learned her lesson from anakin but could still be sensed with the force.
@@SorchaSublime Why couldn't Ahsoka know that? Her and Luke are allies. They've talked and it is not impossible that Luke and Vader's final confrontation - the one that was so important - came up in conversation. It would be lame if they had that talk off-screen and it would be even more lame if this truly was nothing more than a hallucination and that Anakin only said that because Ahsoka heard about it from Luke, but that's my point. We need to have this answered so we can know for sure. I really hope we get another WBW episode that answers these things

0:40 other things happened? Heyden Christensen said "Snips" pretty sure nothing else happened thats all the matters 😆 Firstly a big round of applause to Heyden for being able to switch back and forth between his Anakin, Clone Wars Anakin and Vader's styles, flawlessly. Also to Ariana for somehow giving us 47 year old Ashoka mixed with both 13 and 17 year old snips. Also Dave giving us Ashoka the Grey becoming Ashoka the White in true Gandalf style 😂 This episode made me, at 40, feel like I did when I got to see the Special Edition Trilogy in theatres as a kid. Clone Wars Anakin was such a solid character both in terms of giving us the more nuanced side of his slow fall, but also as a mentor to Ashoka. Whilst others teach their Padawans to disconnect from their emotions he taught Ashoka to he brave enough to face hers, and learn from them. Whilst others taught from detachment, he bonded with Ashoka like abfatuer might abd was always there to give her a safe space to exist I feel that was the lesson, she hasn't been at her best for a long time and Annakin is trying to wake her up. Then he learns she is still carrying her trauma from wjen she fought Vader and cracked his helmet - bexause that was when she learnt Anakin's true fate. Thus his lesson, he teaches her to process the facts and accept that nobody is just one thing and finally forcing her to confront her guilt at feeling like she failed Anakin when he fell to the dark side. A feeling Baylen used to keep her off balance during their fight. Ashoka has merely been survivng, now its time to live ... but also literally because she's drowning and needs to wake up 🤨😆
Anakin was trying to help Ahsoka move on from the past, move on from the idea that if she did something different she could have saved him so him appearing in her memory on Mandalore right before she confronts Maul was perfect, where Maul exposes the conspiracy to Ahsoka, appearing right before that moment is was perfectly done by Dave Filoni. Dave Filoni has truelly become the Master.
Anakin turned into Mortis at the end to teach Ahsoka. Once she insisted on choosing life, he turned back to his old self, smiling and say there was still hope for her. See, just before she was knocked off the cliff, she saw Shin, and fearing Sabine was dead, she forcechoked (used the dark side without even a hesitation) Shin and bodyslammed her against a boulder, which angered Baylan. I personally think Anakin intervened to help Ahsoka not make the same mistakes he did, and to not allow herself to fall into a darkside path, one of only death and destruction, as Baylan accused her of being in.

Agree 100%. I also saw a comment speculating that Ezra is going to be the Son, that would be wild if that's the case.
The Son was stripped of his power and killed in the third episode of the Mortis Saga.
@@Taliesyn42 I forgot about that I guess.
The interaction between Ashoka and Anakin was perfect and that purrgil sequence at the end was magical :) Best episode yet :)
Love the unintentional edit at 5:21 where you say “Can we get Rex in here too??” And it cuts to Anakin saying “Yeah, no kidding!” 😂❤️
Don't we all
I like to think that Cal Kestis would be proud of Ahsoka's poncho :P
They did a great job bringing Rex to live action! He looked excellent!
Since they made it canon that Rex was the bearded endor rebel (meaning he's still alive hopefully) id love to see temerua play him outside of a flashback.
They had clone troopers with the Ahsoka painted helmets as well
It was undescriptible how i felt watching this, i have watched clone Wars since i was a kid and actually that's what made get into Star Wars. This was truely amazing
6:55 "Don't you do this to me, Star Wars!" Yep, you pretty much summed it up.
Rewatching this episode right now, this episode is such a joy.
My head cannon is that those clones that have blue coloring in the first flashback (aside from the one that’s clearly Rex) are part of the main clones from the 501st like Jessie, Kix, Hardcase, MAYBE even Tup!
She finally got what she's been looking since she left Anakin and the Jedi in Clone Wars: closure.
When you realize how young Ahsoka actually was in the Clone Wars ... it's kinda stunning
Unless you seen the animated series, it's not surprising at all.
I tried to deny when everyone was commenting that Ashoka was showing Sith eyes but that last moment when she disarmed him the yellow eyes where evident... Breaks my heart but the "seeds" are there.
On Mortis she was warned
There is a photo of Kanen on heras flight console if you look close enough.❤
Its only a test, he let her pick his saber, he are trying to see if she will fall to the dark side and try to "kill" him, and if she will let her sadness take her mind, if one of those two things happened she dies, but she dont try to kill him and choose to let her sadness go away, so she learn her lesson and choose to live, so the force allow she to comeback!! Is freaking AWESOME!
That buildup at the end with the music and visuals and the final farewell with "May the Force be with you" reminded me so much of the ending of _Rebels_ . I wonder, though, if Ezra will even want to come back. A lot can happen in 10 or so years...
SO excited!!! another great show! LOVED IT!!! 3 more to go!!! HAHHAH your face when Vadar flash in-between ...SO EXCITED!
That purgill scene was beautiful, and so happy that Ahsoka now has emptions
This episode right there was a violation ;-;
The best episode!!!! Live action Clone Wars is a Blessing!!!!!
@@AaronJ_99 Let's be fair, your belief that it's a vision in her head is just that - a theory that you believe, not confirmed either way.
I shared this with a friend after watching the episode:
My initial thoughts: seeing her in live action seriously drove home how young Ahsoka was during the Clone Wars. It was a startling realization for me. It's one thing to know the number (age) in your head, but live over animated, it was a gut-punch.
This episode was a 10/10 packed full of star wars goodies can't wait for the rest of the season 😃
I legit cried during those Clone Wars flashbacks.
I know right, as a Star Wars fan it doesn't get any more nostalgic than this. I was so excited too.
This is where the fun begins!!!!! I absolutely Love this episode!!!!! Seeing Hayden Christianten and Rosario Dawson playing as Anakin and Ahsoka in live-action put a huge smile on my face 😌
The circle is now complete! 🙏🏽💪
Live action Rex with the voice of Temuera Morrison, Anakin in his Clone Wars outfit, live action Seige of Mandalore. My brain is still processing 🤯🤯🤯🤯
She was already 17 years old at the time of the Siege of Mandalore, so she's not exactly a baby.
2:11 cute, how you tried to peek around the pillar.🤣
"They are inside the space whale"
"Ok, Activate tractor beam on the space whale"
"...what?"
*Fun Fact: The actress who played young Ahsoka played the daughter in Barbie, as well as young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War*
Anyone who says fun fact, is infact, really lame
@@davida12345 What’s lame is someone who has a number as unique as 12345 in their username, and disses others (instead of actually commenting on the video, or providing insight like I did) aren’t even smart (or brave) enough to upload an actual photo to their profile. 😄
P.S. It’s “in fact” (TWO words, just like FUCK OFF) 😎
"I won't fight you"
"I've heard that before"
Reference to rebels again when she fought Vader
Anakin has become the mortis god and we're all here for it, being able to switch between light and dark and harness both sides of the force as he wishes to prove a point and educate ashoka for one last time, he showed her how to harness her strength into becoming a warrior, but his final lesson is for her to choose how to live, to embrace both sides of the living force rather than fixate solely one aspect of it
The show and the mandalorian has reignited my love for the galaxy far far away
6:45 this moment was all time chills
Been waiting all day for your reaction. Definitely the best Star Wars TV episode yet,and those glimpses of Vader were just perfect.
Next week: _THRAWN!!!_
“It’s baby Ashoka…” in a war zone….lol. She was so young.
The most messed up thing in this episode was seeing Ahsoka without her headband. That 'hair'line.🤯
Just WOOW. After watching episode 5 i must say this show is crazy good. Incredible is another word. ❤️👍
Great more Ahsoka with episode 5 and Alyska.
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
This has to be the best episode of this series so far. Also, I think this is the most I've seen you fangirling, Alyska.
Your about the 16th reaction I've watched including watching it last night. Wonderful reaction. Yes this was an emotional episode and the best episode since The Mandalorian began. This season is on track and off the scales.
Another great episode, Can't wait for more
This was absolutely amazing.
Hera: We're never going to find Sabine & Ezra.
Ahsoka: I speak whale!
Great video and what an incredible episode. First time watching your channel and kept getting distracted by the plants, great collection! We have a bajillion in our house and I always get excited seeing other people with similar stuff 😂
So many emotions, just rewatching it again
Hayden Christensen's Canadian really came out when he said "is that what this is about". That about really had the Canadian inflection on it.
This is awesome 🥺🥺🥺I was so excited in every momento. Filoni is doing an excellent job. I have no words to describe how I feel, I never though that I would see LA Anakin with his armor and Ahsoka in clone wars. Love your reaction ❤
I like how this also works as an answer for if anakin really did ‘redeem’ himself
He didn’t fully turn to the light, he has both the dark and the light in him
Huyang nearly broke me
Seeing you get emotional is making me get emotional!! It was soooooo good!
I mean what a f'ing episode! The switch between Anakin and Vader with the fire and dust around him was epic
Totally Amazing! May the Force be with you!
Little Ahsoka!!! AHHH!!!
FUN FACT: The actor played her and little Gamora in Marvel.
Firs time I’ve ever cried watching Star Wars, after 24 years.
Every Reactor who knows CW(looking at the Ryloth shot): That's an amazing shot
1 SECOND LATER: *SURPRISED PIKACHU FACE*
0:40 other things happened? Heyden Christensen said "Snips" pretty sure nothing else happened thats all the matters 😆
Firstly a big round of applause to Heyden for being able to switch back and forth between his Anakin, Clone Wars Anakin and Vader's styles, flawlessly. Also to Ariana for somehow giving us 47 year old Ashoka mixed with both 13 and 17 year old snips.
Also Dave giving us Ashoka the Grey becoming Ashoka the White in true Gandalf style 😂
This episode made me, at 40, feel like I did when I got to see the Special Edition Trilogy in theatres as a kid. Whilst others taught from detachment, he bonded with Ashoka like abfatuer might abd was always there to give her a safe space to exist
I feel that was the lesson, she hasn't been at her best for a long time and Annakin is trying to wake her up.
Ashoka has merely been survivng, now its time to live ... but also literally because she's drowning and needs to wake up 🤨😆
I freaked out when I saw the live action Clone Wars
Anakin was trying to help Ahsoka move on from the past, move on from the idea that if she did something different she could have saved him so him appearing in her memory on Mandalore right before she confronts Maul was perfect, where Maul exposes the conspiracy to Ahsoka, appearing right before that moment is was perfectly done by Dave Filoni. Dave Filoni has truelly become the Master.
The title of the episide reminds me of an old-school style FPS game, which had an over the top remake decades later.
Oh, I forgot to point out that not only is she in white, but she also changed her headband.
Good choice of top.
Alyska the White.
😂😂
The chosen one has become the balance, the father.
Amazing episode, seeing this, I know i heard Temeura Morrison's voice again, Filoni really needs to give us another season of Boba!
Alyska your reactions to star wars are my favorite.
