I usually don't watch reaction videos, but I have seen a lot of them today to see if people get as emotional as I did. Turns out they do. This episode is the peak SW. I loved many things SW received in the past few years, but this episode is just speechless. Hayden nailed every single scene.
I know people kept theorizing that it might not be Anakin ( being the Son from Mortis) , but I think this episode proves enough that it is Anakin especially when Ahsoka tells him she won't fight him and he responded saying "I've heard that before". Because that's what Luke said to him in ROTJ
Those scenes with Anakin were absolutely PERFECT! When he ignited that red lightsaber I literally said “oh shit.” Some of those lightsaber hits just reminded you have how powerful he was. Those flashes between him and Vader gave me chills. With that armor he looked EXACTLY like Clone Wars Anakin. Hayden was on a whole other level of epicness and I loved every single second of it. Something else that I want to make sure is highlighted is the music. It was perfect and fit those scenes very, very well. I love how Ashoka seemed more hopeful when she woke up. Like she FELT like the Ashoka that we have always known. That scene with the Purrgil was glorious. The ending of this episode felt like the end of Empire Strikes Back. “Don’t worry, we’ll find them.” I can see why they showed this in theaters. Some of those shots were so cinematically epic. For real, Dave Filoni needs to be in charge of everything Star Wars. This was probably some of my favorite Star Wars ever!
Such a wild ep…his Sith eyes…he’s gotta be the new father now with all the powers of worlds between worlds being able to wield both sides of the force and put himself and Ahsoka throughout time….wild.
I read that on a channel : The lesson was that Ahsoka is not part of a vile heritage. Until now, she has felt that her legacy is one of war and violence (as Baylan said), and her hesitation to train Sabine reflects this. Ahsoka decided not to kill Anakin's dark side (despite being brought closer to the dark side, see her eyes), it is her choice not to fuel this cycle. Every time young Ahsoka brought up violence/war, Anakin gave her more of it. When she mentioned that Anakin was dangerous, that's what he became, using the red saber. In the end, she had to let go of these thoughts, accept that she is part of a legacy with its good and bad sides. That yes Anakin turned to the dark side but that's not what should define HER. For me, that's Anakin's final lesson to complete his training: the past is the past and just because terrible things happened doesn't mean they'll happen again and there's no need to it defines her. In itself Yoda's last lesson to Luke . Beyond that, she was so worried about being everything Anakin was that she wasn't "herself." This is why she was so stoic and weird during the first half of the season (even in mando or boba), and why she was unbalanced against Baylan. Generally speaking, she overcomes her fear of attachment to Anakin. She blamed herself for her move to the dark side and she was afraid of following the same path. It threw her off balance. The lesson was to let go of that fear and attachment. It was literally shown to us with (Ahsoka's) Sith eyes.
But she also comes from a history of non traditional jedi not tied to a bloodline and she still makes mistakes that mirror anaking..the way she blindly trusts sabine...i would love to know what she did that got sabines family killed
The more I rewatch the episode I realize it is Anakin he Is now the Mortis father He can even change forms at will, He is the balance between the light and the dark , finally taking on his Destiny Solid 9.5 out of 10 Yeah he was in control 100% of the time all a lesson... Never give up on yourself And yes you do need to fight to live as crazy as it might sound
15:48 Small detail I just caught: look at that second blast. It was going for the Clone Trooper, not Anakin. Anakin was protecting that Clone Trooper as he would do often in the animated series
I need a live action series set in the Clone Wars era with Hayden at the helm asap. I missed his flashy yet clean lightsaber fights with the raw emotions and witty attitude. He is THE chosen one. I felt like he was holding back a little but seeing him twirl that saber just as he did in Revenge of the Sith sent shivers down my spine (btw, this episode had the best lightsaber scenes in the Disney Star Wars era, hands down). There's a reason Anakin is regarded as the best duelist in the galaxy. I need more! This is what Star Wars should feel like and it's definitely the best content we've received in quite a while.
That’s pretty debatable. The last few episodes of Season 2 of The Mandalorian were complete masterpieces imo. This show really reminds me of Season 2 of The Mandalorian too, all because of Dave Filoni. Filoni had very little to do with The Book of Boba Fett and Season 3 of The Mandalorian, and it really showed. Favreau ain’t the guy. Filoni is. And I’m really hoping that they give Seasons 2 of Book of Boba and Kenobi to Filoni. Something that they should’ve done in the first place.
@@ihaveafettfetish9348 The Mandalorian season 2 started off rough though. The 1st episode was ok, and the 2 Frog Lady quest episodes were not liked by a massive portion of the people, from what I remember. People were saying the season fell off early, then by the Ahsoka episode to the finale. All those naysayers suddenly disappeared. The Ahsoka series unlike Mando season 2 felt cohesive and no episode has been a miss yet.
@@SwaggerLikeUz First episode of Mando Season 2 was a classic man. Cobb Vanth and the return of Boba Fett. The Frog Lady episode was alright. Just a fun side quest. The last 3 episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2 are masterpieces imo. The return of Boba with his armor, an incredibly fantastic surprising performance from Bill Burr and we finally got Seismic Charges again, and of course the return of Luke, which was a million times better than the Sequels. Ahsoka started off so-so with the first 2 episodes, but then really started getting good with episode 3, and then incredible with episodes 4 and 5. Season 2 of The Mandalorian is still my favorite, but this is a very close 2nd, and we still have 3 episodes left. Either way, Filoni is the man and should be in charge going forward. Nobody will ever be George Lucas, but Filoni is definitely the closest.
@Skyman The scene with the young Ahshoka and Captain Rex made me teared up. It was also a nice touch to see both the Light and Dark sides of Anakin when he trained her, with Vader transitions in the background. Out of all Disney Star Wars, this is the best I've seen in years.
Skyman! I love seeing your reactions!! I absolutely love Anakin and Ashoka’s relationship in the Clones Wars. Never did I think I would see Clones Wars in live action. Anakin is everything in this episode, he looked perfect. I was dying the entire time!!! Hats off for Dave Filoni for making this happen! *chefs kiss*
At this point I am just being eternally grateful for Dave Filoni. He has given us so much and I have so much faith in that guy. Also very proud of him, having Hayden in his own show and to use him in such a powerful way...I am really happy for him and so glad he gets the recognition he deserves. Also, that young actress was killing it.
A big reason I love these new shows is that we’re able to see how the First Order managed to rise. The New Republic is overly confident and blind to their shortcomings.
Thanks, Dave! George is certainly proud of you, as we are! And how great Hayden and his "Young Padawan" are in this. How emotional this was. I think George teached everything to Dave and he now has become the Master! This is how it always should have been!
I love your reactions, especially this one for a truely special piece of Star Wars. You're talking so deeply passionate and emotional about all of this. I feel the same way about it and it's a deep part of my soul. And yes, thank you so much Dave Filoni ! You are redeeming the galaxy far, far away which we all hold so dear for decades and almost all of our lives. 🙏🏼
WO THINGS: FIRST, when Anakin destroys the bridge, reminds me of when Gandalf fell off the bridge in Kazad Dum. Ahsoka was fighting her Balrog. SECOND, the Vader style switch up was chefs kiss. Went from all the style and grace of form 5 to the pure overwhelming force he is when he is vader. Aggression. intimidation, no wasted movement, no flourishes, anything you do to survive makes you look weak. UHG, i yelled "SWITCH UP" when he came in low with his saber cus I KNEW Vader was about to bring it!
This should not happen. We have only seen four, and it revolves around Qui-Gon. I don't think Kanan had much of a relationship with Qui-Gon if they knew each other at all.
Goddamn...I watched this episode last knight and I don't think I've ever been so impressed by a single episode. Truly. It was perfectly paced, made perfect homage to the clone wars series, further redeemed Anakin's character in the story, and made the perfect resolution to the story thus far. I'm serious; I know there are more episodes, but if they had just ended the series right here...I'd be okay with it. You have triumph of wonder and adventure as a fleet is humbled and awed by greater things, the triumph of friendship and faith, and the triumph of remembering that the very best of you is still down there, deep inside. All while a soaring theme carries us into the light. goddamn....what a trip.
All those little surprises and Easter Eggs.....! Don't know if anyone noticed, but that music when Ahsoka talked to Anakin in the Mandalor scene is almost like the last scene of Clonewars season 7! when Vader visits the crash site and finds Ahsoka her lightsaeber! ... it's so perfect! And when during the fight he says, "You lack conviction" it's a mix of his Anakin and Vader Voice... And the music with the Purrgil moving past the fleet preparing to jump into hyperspace... It's the same as when Ezra is about to go with the Purrgil... ....My man Dave Filoni just keeps on giving to the fans.
It is so amazing to see that even after years of growing up we still can appreciate Star Wars and its characters. As a 30yrs old i am proud to say i grew up with the prequels. Keep it up with your passion
The part where Kid Ahsoka was holding hands with the injured clone and it looked like she was on the verge of tears hurt me something fierce. Ahsoka with all the knowledge she accumulated over the years was thrusted back to her beginnings. Just how many men did she lose by the time the clone war ended? She's just left there with whatever regret remained, hopeless to change the outcome of those who served alongside her.
"One is never too old to learn, snips". He was 45 when he died. Ahsoka is 47. To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was her age. From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments. And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her. You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader. Just surviving is as good as death. At least that's my take on it.
I think Jacen is meant to be Ezra's Padawan. No offense to Ahsoka or anything but, Kanan trained Ezra so, it's natural that Hera would want her son to be trained by the man who was trained by Jacen's Father, Kanan.
Awesome episode! When Anakin turns Sith on her he has her in his disarming move quickly but instead of cutting her arms off he lets her go and kicks her.
It's great to see Hayden Christensen finally getting the appreciation he deserves as he is now one of the most popular Star Wars actors around. Just give him a Vader show with Clone Wars flashbacks.
Dave got the memo..."Make an episode for Skyman Universe!" and that's what he did! 😁👍 This is turning into something beyond awesome and to see Hayden Christensen get another moment of glory is just the best thing ever.!
Hayden is just amazing with saber fight. It is like an extension of his arm. Also, this impacted me emotionally a lot, too. Transported me back to my childhood and yes, it made me sad, whole scene. From the moment Anakin pulled his lightsaber, with Battle of Heroes OST hinted in background music my heart stopped and the only reason I have not teared up is because tears doesn't come easy to me. I am not fan of the rest of this show but this episode is incredible. More Hayden please.
Every reactor i've seen is so busy fanning out or asking "what is happening?" when they cut back to the ocean from the initial Ahsoka/Anakin duel that they don't hear the brilliant sound design of the lightsaber crashes and the waves crashing blended together. Was the audio version of the transition they showed at the end of episode 4 when they first showed her in the World Between Worlds. These last few episodes have really been great, and it's the craft and pacing of them as well, not just the nostalgia and call backs.
NICE always staying up 1 hr later for your sw reaction skyman. thank you. i was crying. thank you dave filoni. 10/10 Star Wars Moment. this is the way.
Hayden deserves everything for carrying this show, everything he touches is golden, it’s emotive because it’s him, the character, the person himself, people simply see his whole life story everytime hes on screen. Same as when you saw Qui-gon at end of OBIWAN, its emotive and best thing in the show. I just hope one day soon to see a live action clone wars but maybe thats asking to much with the current leadership inability to see whats beloved and whats not.
best reaction yet bro...great reaction video. I felt all the feels you did watching this. As a massive Star Wars fan like you, I enjoyed this thoroughly and NEVER thought Id see such accurate epicness in a live version.
Never thought I’d see what we saw today. Gives me hope for the future. (Still enjoyed most of the recent stuff but this is very good Star Wars that breaths new breath into the greater lore.)
Ahsoka is dead at that moment but has a chance to return, Anakin says it is a good thing she remembers the fight she had cause it means she still has a grasp over her ego, her personality and memories, it is needed in order to revive her, that she stays ..."linked"... and the thing that would prevent her from returning is her regrets or trauma that subconsciously would make her not want to return to the living world, which is why he puts her through that to strengthen her will to live
About how Anakin is in the present is because that place that Anakin is in, is called The World Between Worlds, it's a pocket between space and time where time don't exist and the force is very strong there, so it's the force that made Anakin appeared based on Ahsoka's insecurities, of how she blames herself for leaving him and the Jedi Order and for feeling responsible for him indirectly becoming Vader. So the force essentially helped her to overcome these insecurities and at the same time she is fighting to save her life, that's why she choose to live. Also in the World between Worlds, you can go back to anytime you wish and revisit anytime however yes you can alter the past, but it has consequences.
It was definitely Anakins lightsber and he definitely had the scar at the end of episode 4, great reaction video, I always love seeing how other star wars fans react, especially to the ahsoka series.
What I love most about this episode was what it taught us about Anakin and his character post-Vader. We know he was redeemed at the end of RotJ, but here we see that even he is at peace with his past. He doesn't shun it, it's a part of him and always will be. Anakin brought balance to the Force and brought the Force in balance within himself showing that he has a complete mastery of both the light and dark - just like the Father of Mortis. Also, can we appreciate the connection to Luke when Anakin said, "I've heard that before." Freaking chefs kiss man, holy crap Filoni.
First and foremost, I've always ❤️ your reactions to the Ahsoka episodes so far. I found the episode like a really good counselling session where to pend drops and the really cool things about the clonewars etc come together and how Aniken teaches Ahsoka her final trail for her training. It's really epic as well.
A simply amazing episode. So much more than a simple force ghost or simple flashback. Just thinking about all Filoni just gave us between those two, seeing those live action flashes of the Clone Wars era. Young Ahsoka, Anakin in his CW armor, Rex, Maul's Mandos, the fight, THAT SHOT of Anakin walking off with the 501st, my god what an episode. PEAK Star Wars. I so sincerely hope that the tail end of this series sticks the landing for this story as satisfyingly as this episode nailed it. so great.
I absolutely LOVE how it’s ALL of Anakin. From the little boy on Tatooine to Vader to Anakin once again as Luke saved him. He’s every bit as fearsome and compassionate as he had ever been. His lesson is basically one way of portraying “don’t be like me” and it’s perfect.

@@SorchaSublimestill, a teenage edgy dream almost made him kill his own nephew at his old wise age but rescued the second most evil person in the universe at his youngest. Stop defending that total bs writing and destroying a character.
WELL THAT A THOUGHT!!!!!
I usually don't watch reaction videos, but I have seen a lot of them today to see if people get as emotional as I did. Turns out they do. This episode is the peak SW. I loved many things SW received in the past few years, but this episode is just speechless. Hayden nailed every single scene.
You know its good when the middle aged men are getting teary eyed 😅
SAME!!! I watched the episode by myself, tear up so much. Hahaha so wanted to see if fans had the same reaction.
Similarly, the finale of Mando S2 is what brought me to SW reaction vids, just to share that emotional impact.
“Don’t worry, we’ll find them.”
I can see why they showed this in theaters.
He is more than the father... He is... The Chosen One!
The transition with Anakins eyes was amazing. What an episode.
Theres some kind of otherworldliness in Hayden, which suits perfectly to portray this galactic massive super-hero/villain as Anakin/Vader.
He's tall too, actually he's a frikkin tower!
This is the best episode I've seen out of all of the new Star Wars series. Anakin and Ahsoka's interactions were perfection.
I read that on a channel :
The lesson was that Ahsoka is not part of a vile heritage.
What was weird was all the kids expecting her to be bubbly and bouncing around after going through all that trauma.
But she also comes from a history of non traditional jedi not tied to a bloodline and she still makes mistakes that mirror anaking..the way she blindly trusts sabine...i would love to know what she did that got sabines family killed
She was also arguably closer to anakin than anyone even obi wan...she saw shadows of darkness in him and chose to ignore it...
she was a kid @@sosayweall2509
The more I rewatch the episode I realize it is Anakin he Is now the Mortis father He can even change forms at will, He is the balance between the light and the dark , finally taking on his Destiny Solid 9.5 out of 10 Yeah he was in control 100% of the time all a lesson... Never give up on yourself And yes you do need to fight to live as crazy as it might sound
Note how Anakin turns terse like Vader when he goes dark.
"Incorrect."
"You lack conviction."
"Time to die."
That "incorrect" was just chilling. May be the best acting performance of haydens career
The lack conviction line had a mix of Anakin's and Vader's voice
I just love Ahsokas response to Anakin about him not recognising the siege of Mandalore. You were part ablaze by now 🤣🤣🤣
15:48 Small detail I just caught: look at that second blast. It was going for the Clone Trooper, not Anakin. Anakin was protecting that Clone Trooper as he would do often in the animated series
I think Jacen was sharing what he was sensing/hearing with his mother, projecting it; not that Hera was sensitive as well.
It’s just the same logic as Sabine. Everyone can be open to sense the Force, but some people are just born with natural talent to wield it.
Makes no sense at all
Hera being sensitive thanks to Jedi semen
@@dodywidodo9433 The midichlorians infected her like AIDS
This show in my opinion contains the best star wars content we've received since Clone Wars season 7! Thank you Dave filoni!
literally! seeing what this ahsoka series has brought us there is no excuse for the trash ass sequels
Endor was pretty good
@@ihaveafettfetish9348 The Mandalorian season 2 started off rough though.
I cant stop watching this episode. Tears of joy. It was like floating through a beautiful dream.
@Skyman
The scene with the young Ahshoka and Captain Rex made me teared up. It was also a nice touch to see both the Light and Dark sides of Anakin when he trained her, with Vader transitions in the background. Out of all Disney Star Wars, this is the best I've seen in years.
I love seeing people react so strongly to star wars. It shows when its done correct and not bastardized for gains.
I want nothing to change in this episode. I accept its flaws , whatever you come up with. This episode is my childhood ❤
I love how you rep Episode 1. I have so much nostalgia for episode 1 and it’s probably my favorite of the trilogy
The scenes between Anakin and Ahsoka had me on cloud 9. It was beautiful. I didn't want it to end.
You are one of my favorite reactors. So genuine is your love for Star Wars
One is never too old to learn snips. That is anakin saying he didn’t learn until he was a broken shell of a human that the dark side was wrong.
So happy for this ep. Amazing. Now I need Jacen to see the force ghost of his father
Man I would cry so much if that actually happened
This was incredible. Glad to be on earth with all of you during such an incredible time!
It is so amazing to see that even after years of growing up we still can appreciate Star Wars and its characters.
As a 30yrs old i am proud to say i grew up with the prequels.
Keep it up with your passion
You are my first reaction channel for Ahsoka Skyman. Thank you ❤
The part where Kid Ahsoka was holding hands with the injured clone and it looked like she was on the verge of tears hurt me something fierce. Ahsoka with all the knowledge she accumulated over the years was thrusted back to her beginnings. Just how many men did she lose by the time the clone war ended? She's just left there with whatever regret remained, hopeless to change the outcome of those who served alongside her.
All that's left is a moment like this between Anakin and Luke.
He truly is his own. He can switch on the dark side and the light. He has found balanced and really did just help her complete her training.
I think Jacen is meant to be Ezra's Padawan. No offense to Ahsoka or anything but, Kanan trained Ezra so, it's natural that Hera would want her son to be trained by the man who was trained by Jacen's Father, Kanan.
This episode was a masterpiece, so many feelings not felt since... it felt like a season finale.
Dave Filoni is the biggest fan among all of us.
Dave got the memo..."Make an episode for Skyman Universe!" and that's what he did! 😁👍
This is turning into something beyond awesome and to see Hayden Christensen get another moment of glory is just the best thing ever.!
I’m so happy this episode exists!! I think Ashoka deserves a movie!
The chosen one has finally achieved balance and become infinitely powerful. Excellent.
this is why i love watching your reactions... bringing up Jedi Outcast because of those swings.. was EXACTLY what i was thinking..
I feel like that scene on Mandalore is literally asking "what would you have done if you'd run into him that day?"
Ahsoka: "I won't fight you."
Anakin: "I've heard that before."
Yep, from his boy Luke, in Episode VI. What a great callback.
I’ve never seen you so happy watching Star Wars. And who could blame you. It was sublime. 😊
Love seeing you prequel generation fans having your day in the sun!
I have been waiting my whole life for this!
best reaction yet bro...great reaction video. I felt all the feels you did watching this. As a massive Star Wars fan like you, I enjoyed this thoroughly and NEVER thought Id see such accurate epicness in a live version.
Never thought I’d see what we saw today. Gives me hope for the future. (Still enjoyed most of the recent stuff but this is very good Star Wars that breaths new breath into the greater lore.)
nice review. this episode is really over the top
Love your reviews!
Glad you enjoyed the show!
I think the fight with Anakin was same thing as what Cal went through with Jaro Tapol in Fallen Order
OH MAN, one of those reactions I was excited to see!
I saw the thumbnail and started shouting ‘omg it’s Fred!!’ 😂 so happy you’re doing these!! This episode was sooooo good.
Ahsoka the white looks amazing!
I hope you know how much we look forward to your reactions. They encapsulate exactly how true Star Wars fans are.
It brings me joy to know Thor Odinson cherishes these legendary tales.
Love Ur reaction as always, a true diehard fan
It was definitely Anakins lightsber and he definitely had the scar at the end of episode 4, great reaction video, I always love seeing how other star wars fans react, especially to the ahsoka series.
This is the review I've been waiting all day for. I can't wait to hear the big man's breakdown of this. The way you analyse all layers is superb.
Also, can we appreciate the connection to Luke when Anakin said, "I've heard that before." Freaking chefs kiss man, holy crap Filoni.
your vibe is so calming and chill. love your channel instantly. subscribed and binged edit: FUCK THE NEW REPUBLIC IM GLAD THE FIRST ORDER BLEW THEM UP

Awesome video mate. Wrapped I found your channel keep ‘em coming
Young Ahsoka, Anakin in his CW armor, Rex, Maul's Mandos, the fight, THAT SHOT of Anakin walking off with the 501st,
my god what an episode. PEAK Star Wars. I so sincerely hope that the tail end of this series sticks the landing for this story as satisfyingly as this episode nailed it.
so great.
Very lovely to watch you watching this. There's going to be so much re-viewing of Clone Wars now!
I was sitting eating pizza and watching this while just screaming at my TV seeing Clone Wars content...Anakin, Mandalore, Rex, Temuera's voice, Vader, GOD THIS EPISODE WAS SO FUCKIN GOOD
