he went undercover to infiltrate and discover the location of ezra.

Something I noticed as one of the Jedi protocols is the way they pull out of hyperspace and how far they are from the nearby star system. That explains why Vader got pissed off when the Empire invaded Hoth. "He is as clumsy as he is stupid"

Seatos clearly gets its name from Ancient Greek. Ceto was the goddess of sea monsters, giving us the word cetos (which means sea monster) and the Latin word "Cetus" which means, specifically, "whale" (it is also the name of a Constellation).

I just wrote a comment suggesting the same thing, before I found yours.
I think it’s a reference to the purrgil, especially considering the voice clip at 23:45 in the video, where Huyang says “…star whales, named purrgil.”
Like Cetus being a whale made up of stars (as a constellation).
I made a similar claim on the last video, I thought for a second he would bring that up

P-47 is nicknamed “Thunderbolt”, not “Mustang”. That was the P-51.

I think Hera is going to disobey the new republics orders, recruit Zeb, and Kallus, and take the Ghost to help Ahsoka and Sabine.

Based on the fact that we have like no news about Kallus' live action casting I'd say that's unlikely. Also that wouldn't be great writing

Yes, they are fighting an opponent who knows how they operate. They need to stop following standard Jedi protocol, else they are going to walk into an even bigger trap.
Is that why they stayed directly behind the rear gun that only points to the rear and only shoots directly behind them.

Ahsoka is staying on the ship and jumping sideways because she is using the force to manipulate her position, like Leia did.
Plus with Star Wars space doesn't really work like actual space.
Force users have used the force in space in books, comics, games, etc for decades
Other than Leia, Ashoka also actually wears a spacesuit here, which makes this way less laughable than the Leia scene.
Random note, Captain Pelion was probably the best casting ever. He was instantly recognizable without introduction.
I love the face that Ahsoka and Sabine both make when huyang talks about standard protocol
I hope these videos encourage those who haven't watched Rebels to do so because it had some of the best Star Wars in all of Star Wars
The space dogfight was so cool! Brings back tons of feels from the original trilogy and RotS. Shin looks more bad ass every scene she is in. She gives me young Anakin vibes

Why did the ship have unlimited health tho? Comlpletly ruined the scene. The ship was out of power and took several attack waves while ashoka jumped around in space and almost no damage at all. I dont know how anybody would write such a bad storyline.

I'm glad the trailer footage has mostly been shown. Now, we can go in free and unspoiled. I laughed at the cup scene and the camera turning to see its reaction.

P-47 was the Thunderbolt (pictured at 16:14 ) - not a Mustang which is a P-51

Marrok isn't Ezra. The actor playing Ezra isn't in the main credits for episode 3. He was in the credits for 1 & 2 and I thought because Ezra didn't appear in episode 2 maaaaybe he could've been Marrok. But no. He's not.
I agree that he isn't Ezra. However they just need a stuntman in a suit for Marrok so the Ezra actor doesn't need to be in the episode.
@@thattomciccone Yep, the stuntman has been credited all season so far, so it could theoretically be Ezra after all. (Though I too doubt it is.)
Not to mention it makes literally zero sense for it to be Ezra. Ezra just somehow made it back without Thrawn, and Thrawn never figured out how Ezra would've done it, even though he's a literal genius. Also Ezra comes back and doesn't contact anyone, just becomes a sith and starts working with Beylan and Morgan? I would literally stop watching Star Wars if that happened.
Marrok had more of an opportunity to shoot and didn’t. There’s a deeper connection there, can’t wait to see what unfolds
I like to think that the Hyperspace ring was a Thrawn blueprint. He always had an eye for improving tech. The TIE defenders for one. And we know he had a curiosity of the Hyperspace ring that Anakin had. Would be like him to build on and improve that, especially for an ISD
I do think thats the holo sabers Huyang use are based off of Tatami mats which have bewn used in Japan to train the cuts of swordsmen
I've been hoping they'd bring Starkiller back into canon and if he's in Ashoka I'll be so happy, also Starkillers name is Galen Marek (not that different from Marrok)

The holoblades for training look like those woven matts rolled up into a tube for sword training.
Prob my favorite episode of the season thus far that space battle was sick I just wish it was longer hopefully next episode.

I do think Marrok being Ezra is a very far shot, but his character is giving me Arkham Knight vibes, like this has to be a character that we are familiar with at the very least

The starfighters, and the dogfight this episode were awesome.
This is a brilliant series so far. Feels really authentic and true to the original movies yet they’re incorporating some traditional Japanese styling which fit seamlessly.
Ngl its not been THAT promising so far, i mean it had some rlly kool moments but i hope it pulls it back with bringing in Thrawn soon

prequel style ships (even you can see it in the Eye of Scion),nightsister,aspects from EU stories,aesthetics of 'Rebels' is also still visible,blending with the style of The Mandalorian's cinematography.
I mean aside from the stale acting, another Jedi getting stabbed in the gut and surviving, the ship taking a 100 shots without damage, a lightsaber blocking ship blasters, and requiring us all to watch a kids cartoon, yeah it’s brilliant😂

Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman is one of my favorite franchises, that reference made me extremely happy.
I always thought Marrok was a cannon version of Starkiller. Since the first trailer. Just makes sense...

Sabine trying to move the cup reminds me a lot of Ezra trying to do the same in Rebels as one of the first items he practices using the force on.

I liked the introduction of Jason/Jacen. Clever way to incorporate elements of the books without actually doing them.
So far, this is my favorite Star Wars Disney+ series, its been pretty awesome so far...

In Shin Kendo the solid wood practice swords Bokken; that term is pronounced BOW- 'KEHN not "Bahk-Kin"; and Tarre Viszla *created* the Dark Saber, so he did more than wield it, he created that saber and united all the clans of Mandalore together. The Blind Swordsman in Japanese novels and movies was named ZatoICHI (zah-tow-E-chee)
Zatoichi is also referenced in Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse movie: Death Proof, which stars both Rosario Dawson and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. 🤔

Leah showed you can use the force in space to guide movements.
Marrok is definitely a star killer reboot and just like how andor threw in the canonization of the ancient people; I believe his armor appearing means he likely was a precursor to the inquisitors or was vaders apprentice before becoming an inquisitors.

Either the deflectors are ridiculous on Ahsoka's ship or those mercenary ships have baby guns.
Also those training swords are supposed to mimic mat cutting. Basically used to test Japanese swordsmen on how accurate and powerful their cuts can be.
Love waiting on you breakdowns, I watch them with my 6 month old son and he just looooves you.

You mentioned Captain Palleon being on the shadow council but I recall him being part of Thrawns blockade above Lothal when it was taken away by the Purgil presumably to the same place the Chimera was taken with Thrawn and Ezra on board. So I was wondering if Palleon was with Thrawn when he disappeared with Ezra how is Palleon back but Thrawn isn’t
the purrgil only took Thrawn's star destroyer, whereas Palleon was on a different star destroyer.
Paelleon’s star destroyer was destroyed. He probably escaped on a shuttle or escape pod.
@@mjjfilms4597 I swear the officer on the Chimera said the blockade ships were just gone not destroyed and when Thrawn spoke to Palleon his comm shut off it seemed more like he was out of range rather than his ship being destroyed
I think Marrok is Kanan… never saw him officially die, full coverage suit to mask his burns & Hera keeps conveniently getting written to be away from him.
True but in Rebels Palpatine says that he could feel the force shifting with Kanan’s death. And the wolf appearing as Kanan, him

Wouldn't Ahsoka just be doing like an advanced force jump when doing her space flip? If force user can jump like ?30 ft? Idk their actual limit, but some should be able to do her cool cartwheel flip in space. With no gravity, it's her force that can propel in any direction for a short time.
No way Marrok is just Marrok, they hide his face, hide his voice (which none of the other inquisitors did), and his name is different from any of the other inquisitors (ie: fifth brother etc…

The WW2 aircraft pictured is a P-47 Thunderbolt , nick-named the Jug, not a P-51 Mustang
The Fighters remind me of the 1940/50's race planes. Example Gee Bee R1, or the Bulldog, or ever the Boeing P-26 Peashooter.
I love these starfighters we saw this episode! The first thing they reminded me of is the Gee Bee R1 with their stocky stature and pushed back cockpits

I see the Greek mythology reference in the comments for Seatos. I agree and think it would be noteworthy to explore that entire family. AND there may be parallels between the ancient Greeks and the Romans (a democracy/republic taking control after older civilizations).

Thankyou for more accurately guessing what those fighters looked like. My immediate thought was the I-16 Rata, a rather obscure plane. Other potential influences could be P-26 Peashooter or some of the early Grumman designs, leading up to the Bearcat.

When Ahsoka mentions using "zatochi", it seems to be a variant of Zatoichi, which is the name of a popular blind samurai in Japanese cinema and literature.

Then you just wave your hand and say "because of the force" or whatever get out of jail free card you want. Now.....I'm not saying it's him.....but literally anything is possible in Star Wars.

What if Baylan Skoll is Ezra 😅 as Morgan does mention Time and space what if it has affected him differently. As ezra is concted with the Wolfs and Baylan last name is a norse wolf, and he does look at the Purguls like he saw them (conect to them) like again as ezra was connected to them 😅
That can't be, the old jedi Droid recognized the lightsaber as one of a kind belonging to Baylan meanwhile Sabine has Ezra's saber.
I would like Jayson to be force sensitive like his father. Lots of scene call backs and references
