Decent? She was Liams PA and screwing him while he was married to Nicole. So she was no "lady" either.
She's now his manager - AND his girlfriend. Her best friend is his tour manager. And after 5 years of living with the man, she hasn't even bothered to listen to all the songs of the band he was in?
She only cares for the money Liam brings in.

I was never very interested in Oasis, but I loved Beady Eye. It seemed to me like Rock and Roll disappeared somewhere along Exile on Main Street, but Beady Eye found it again and picked it up and ran with it. My own Rock and Roll ambitions died in the lack of response to Different Gear. It was so close to the sort of album I had always wanted to produce if I had ever been able to put together all the right elements. I praised Beady Eye to any ear I could find, but no one had ever heard of them, and I don't think anyone looked for the album on my recommendation.
I had to conclude that the world didn't want to hear Rock and Roll. Everyone was too played out, burnt out, cynical, and dead at heart. I finally tossed out what remained of my old ambitions to play Rock and Roll.
It was heart breaking enough for me. If I had actually produced that beautiful album to see it fall away in obscurity unheard, it would have crushed me beyond repair. What is the use in even trying.
It was clearly a pure labor of love, and a string of pearls, trampled by swine.
I don't know anything of the artist's autobiography. (He may have been reluctant to admit to any reviewer or interviewer that he had high hopes for his polished gem.) There may have been other things going on, but that's how I understand it plain and simple.
To produce a great album like that and see it flop, with most people completely unaware of it, is heartbreaking.

Vincecouk the issue is that Noel broke the band up because he clearly wanted to go solo which is fine but he manufactured a big scene and blamed Liam for it. This divided the fanbase too. I don’t blame Liam for being bitter and angry.
He should have just been honest about wanting to go solo.

Senate300 without a doubt. He’s the greatest songwriter of his generation and I think he’s funny as fuck but he’s also cold and sneaky.
He’s lied consistently throughout the history of Oasis and has sacked member after member.

The reason Oasis will never get back together, I think, is Paul Weller
Paul Weller is Noels best mate and neighbour, and Weller is the best example of never reforming your original band and finding it a laughable idea
I reckon if there was ever times Noel had considered reforming Oasis Weller would have talked him into believing it would be a sad as fuck idea

james lind I’m not criticising Beady Eye. I enjoy their two albums, especially the second one. I was just pointing out that it made a difference commercial wise because his name is an easier sell than Beady Eye was to the public.
Also As You Were was a more consistent album than either of Beady Eye’s because he got help with his songwriting. Liam is talented as a songwriter but having collaborators suits him.
I class him as a singer and frontman first and foremost like Elvis for example.

"As It Was" is great, so much so that I actually prefer it to the "Supersonic" documentary. But I really don't like how it presents Beady Eye as a failure. They were a brilliant band who made two solid records, the second of which was remarkably imaginative in places. They didn't succeed because no one really gave them a fair chance. In my honest opinion, they were really let down by a lot of legacy Oasis fans who switched off after Noel called time on it.

M01535 not at all. They are both great alone but even better together. Without Noel’s songs Liam wouldn’t have made it.
Also, without Liam’s voice and charisma Noel wouldn’t have made it. Alan McGhee signed Oasis on the strength of how blown away he was by the look of Liam and his presence as a frontman as much as he was by Noel’s songs.
He noticed Liam before he heard him sing. Liam made him take notice of Noel’s songs.
      They needed each other.
