Drummer Nicko McBrain is an awesome showman, he'll stand up during breaks in the song and dance around like a madman, wear crazy hats, do silly stuff. The man is just an all around great musician/performer.

If you ever wondered why there is a teddy bear strapped to the front of drummer McBrians kit...I believe it's because McBrain appeared on the kids tv show "The Sooty Show" (UK) in 1988.. And ever since then he has placed a Sooty teddy on the front of his kit. :)
He also represented Great Britain in Fencing. He even recorded their last album while he had throat cancer, even though he didn't know that he had it at the time and he beat it afterwards. There is nothing that Bruce cannot do. ❤❤❤

I was at that show! My wife and I drove down from Sacramento to see them. (which in many places, that's like the equivalent of driving through three states), because that was the only U.S. tour date they had on that tour so I didn't want to miss it. We were on the gen-admission floor with my back against the half-wall that encloses the sound equipment. During a moment of audience engagement from Bruce, they turned on the house lights, I looked around to see how full the arena was and standing on the other side of the half-wall enjoying the show was Lars and Robert T of Metallica, and Scott Ian of Anthrax. There was an actor/comedian too - but I can't remember his name. They were literally 3 feet from me all there to watch the Maiden show! I had an old flip-phone back then and of course got some pics; but sadly that phone has long been FUBAR and pics irretrievable.
That trademark galloping bass line is UFANGUS! A Buffalo term for THE BEST! Q is seriously digging this! How Awsome to see these young people enjoying like I did when this first hit the underground college radio!!!

he said in an interview someone stole his heavy metasl pants in pamplona spain and was wandering around trying to buy a replascement. he found leather pants in a womans botique while they kind of stared at him. tight, not made for blokes but he got them on. they split on stage and he felt a breeze. his balls were hanging out. used black gaffer tape but removing ouch. now way he could have replaced those dinosaur scale pants
