This is the album that started it all for me. Before that nothing started. My chainsaw no start.. my mower no start. When this album came out now it starts. This album is that powerful. It kick started my life.
True better late than never, but there really is no excuse if you call yourself a metalhead that grew up on 80's metal not to have listen to let alone hear of Iron Maiden... Total poser... LoL( That was a joke, not to be taken seriously)!!!
My wife and I have been together for 33 tears, married 25 this year! You two have an awesome relationship... I can tell there is real love there. Keep each other happy in the mind, in the heart, and in the bed!!!
When this LP came out, it was super-anticipated because of the vocalist change. We weren't disappointed when the needle on the turntable dropped. Excellent!
Bruce Bruce has always had such amazing stage presence, not to mention that air-raid warning scream. Yeah, this album was a constant on my record player when it came out, and drove my reggae-blues-orchestral loving parents bonkers. They couldn't wrap their heads around why I liked them so much, but it was everything... the look, the sound, the sheer fun of it all. Going to see them this summer, just like y'all (my... 3rd time? 4th time? I can't remember anymore), and I'll be screaming my fool head off. Up the Irons!
Iron Maiden is another band my dad got me into in the late 70s and early 80s before I started my own record collection. Number Of The Beast, Metallica's Kill 'Em All and AC/DC's For Those About To Rock were three of the first albums I ever bought.

As a 54 year old, I saw this tour at 17, '82. I also saw Killers, the arc from Killers too this album cannot be over emphasized. They became a phenomon. The stage presence was un paralleled.
Run To The Hills. Yeah they have better songs but it's fun. And yes it's great live. And yes it brings the house down live. And yes this song and album took then to another level. Ok it is my favorite Maiden song. I love the rolling thunder of it like a horse running full speed.
Listen mate Run to the hills is probably the most important song Maiden ever wrote. Without that song and the Beast album Maiden wouldn't be the act you know and love today.
Injoy the show. I flew my son into Detroit from Walla Walla Washington and I drove into Detroit to meet him at the airport from Baltimore MD. I got pictures of Ed Force One. Awesome show. Awesome band. Awesome time with my son.
I saw Iron Maiden live in the early nineties in Providence, R.I. Me and my Spanish roommate drove from Boston to see this amazing band. Notice that in the early videos there's only 2 guitarists but today they're three. When the band "separated" Bruce Dickinson and one of the guitarists left. When they reunited, Bruce and the original guitarist plus the "replacement" guitarist that stayed on. Makes for an excellent sound when those three guitars play the riffs together, in sync, in chorus. Amazing stuff.
My brother always had maiden blasting out around the neighborhood. Pissed off some people. 😅 First metal band I ever listen to. Thanks Vince for making me a metalhead 🤘😯 WOOOOOOO!!!!!
My mom bought this album for me, for my 14th birthday. Can you imagine, a then 50 year old woman, going into a record store and asking for this album? The guy that sold it to her thought she was crazy. This song was Iron Maiden's answer to all the people saying that metal was all about devil worship. This is back when people were playing records backwards to find hidden messages. Bruce said they wrote this song, as a tongue in cheek response to all the hype.
OMG! Did you guys go to the show in Atlanta in July of 2019??? I took my kids and girlfriend to their first Iron Maiden concert (my kids FIRST concert ever!) at that show! It was an amazing experience for all of us! I had only seen them live twice before, but this was a perfect first Maiden concert to go to. Before this, and since, my kids are always asking to listen to Maiden in the car. So fun! #ironmaiden
You've brought a huge smile to my face again guys. You have so many classic treasures to discover for the first time. I envy you. #IronMaiden two minutes to midnight Melbourne Australia.
Guys you are going to be floored, they need to be experienced live. I am going to see them the first week of August, it will be my 7th time seeing them can't wait. It the best of the Beasts.
I listed to this on cassette so much when I was a teenager, I knew the words to every song on it as well as wearing out out at least 2 cassette tapes. A timeless classic to be sure. :)
I remember about 10 years ago I randomly bought Maiden's greatest hits album on a whim, even though I didn't really know any of their songs. I was totally blown away by it.
Fun Fact : That primal scream Bruce does (at the beginning of the song) is the result of absolute frustration after the bazillionth take of recording the song. Take after take after take, something would go wrong - one of the guys messed up, technical problem, etc. It got to the point where Bruce finally lost his patience and let out that scream - and as luck would have it, the tape was still rolling, and after playing it back, decided it was too cool not to use. Spontaneous+Unintented=EPIC.
will always be amazed how many reacters love Maiden and get tickets to go to one of their shows. They're probably the biggest secret band in the world.
Just found your channel a couple days ago and i already watched all your iron maiden reactions, awesome reactions and great channel. I really recommend you reacting to The Evil That Men Do, probably my favorite Maiden song. 😎👍🏻
I had trouble getting into Maiden at first, but my roommate had Piece of Mind, which we played nearly every night along with Metallica Ride the lightning. Then Powerslave came out and I was hooked. Then I went back and started listening to their older stuff and became a true fan since the mid 80s. Amazing performers. Great reaction as usual.
Yeah Maiden was one of the first bands I ever got into back in the 80's and this was the tune I heard first from them and I was hooked from the start!, Just an amazing band that stands the test of time to rock our ass off. Cheers and rock ya later!
