  • I couldn't compress the piston in the rear caliper. I couldn't find a video anywhere to help me so I made this short in hopes of helping someone else.

    For the 17 we have to do it that way at the dealership too, newer ones theres a way to electronicsly compress the ebrake through GDS

    Just done my brakes yesterday evening. There's a video (now) showing how to suppress the pistons, but it requires a different set of tools to do so, will come in handle down the road though.

    This would also explain why I "had to buy" an 18mm wrench set and couldn't use a socket to loosen the bottom bolt.

    Mine kept going as it was off I accidentally pushed the parking break button and it tore the boot off now do I need to replace the entire thing ?

    • @dalynchmob2000
      @dalynchmob2000  3 года назад

      Not sure man. If the boot ripped I'd contact a service tech and ask. Prob have to replace, finish the swap, and bleed system. Just a diy'r myself, just trying to help others.

    FYI guys u only can order from dealership 89 bucks. You can also turn it with a flat head. Don't attempt to turn it with pressure on piston bc u WILL STRIP THE ALLEN SCREW inside but if so relief pressure and turn with flat head.
