      I just buy cotton sweaters from thrift stores one size smaller than me. I turn the body into pillows and stuff the sleeves to put inside my sweater. Works well for ironing shirts also!

    All good wishes for you, Kyle and the kitty cats for the new year ! You have knit a lot of good and pretty items. It is such a good feeling to wear a jumper or socks or anything that you have made and are very happy with. I have made 2 throwover jumpers (Andrea Mowry); 1 for my sister and 1 for myself. I love it when I see her wearing and loving her jumper. Have a good year Aude 😃

    Happy New Year, Aude. That was nice to hear about your knits. No doubt my favorite knit was all the baby stuff. When I see her wearing something that I make, makes my heart super happy. Other than that I loved my Lento too. I have to make another one, not as cropped as my first. I wear mine a lot. The goal is always to have more yarn out than in. Never achieved it before, maybe 2024 is the year 😂

    Bonne année Aude! I really enjoyed your podcast today, many beautiful thing you made. I especially like the sweater that you were wearing and all the hats. As for myself,I just finished a DRK Everyday sweater by Drea Renee knits and that was very enjoyable to knit. I also made a Melange sweater for my son , my first ever try on a Petite Knit pattern, and it was a huge success! I made a lots of Musselburgh hats as well, so lovely to make and all my family adore them. So I might try the Porty hat, the one you made for yourself looks amazing! And I started to knit sweaters and hats for my wee granddaughter and that give me so much pleasure!

    Beautiful knits! I'm currently working on the Festive pullover (Skeindeer knits) and I love it! It's too late for wearing it over Christmas but I'm knitting the "yoke only" version so I will definitely be wearing it over the winter season. I'm using Rauma Finnul on 3.5 mm needles.
    If you ever plan on knitting the Gro hat (which has a stunning stitch pattern), you should know that many people (myself included) have found it to be very small. I'm only saying this since you mentioned the shawl. I personally gifted the hat I made to a 6 yo and it was perfect!
    Bonne année !!!

      Bonne année! ❤️ I love the Festive pullover. I'm hoping to make it one day. About the Gro Hat, I was just watching Those Twins Who Knits accessories recap' and they said exactly the same! That it just runs really small. I was thinking about making it but I'll need to have a good look at the pattern. Thanks for letting me know.

    Hi Aude, 🥳 Happy New Year! Great you enjoy all your knits. I think I liked knitting the Field day Cardigan by Ozetta the most, as you knit the button band concurrently with the sweater, so all of the sudden it’s done! Also the olive tank by Sari Nordlund, easy and wore slot in the summer. Take care, Melissa.😊

    Lovely episode 🥰 I haven’t been able to catch up with all the podcasts I like throughout this year, so it was a pleasure to get to see and be inspired by all your makes. My favorite knit this year has been the Pressed Flower shawl, and my all time favorite yarn has been Garthenor 4ply. They also make a NSW and no nylon sock base. If you ever see them in a yarn show, don’t hesitate to buy it !

    I love these videos that take time to look at a full year's production, they are so inspiring. You were quite productive !!! Bravo !
    If I see correctly you've added a nice cable (or is it faux cable) detail on your Homebody Socks, it gives them uniqueness. I quite like the look of their different heel, how do you like the fit ?
    My favorite project of 2023 was a Fairy Bouquet by Joanna AngI knitted in Fleece & Harmony Point Prim Sock held together with kid silk mohair. It is light, warm and so soft, just like a big hug. My favorite test knit was an hexagonal blanket in honeycomb stitch, using fusion technique. What I liked most about it was Mary W Martin, a great designer, she was so open-minded, quick to answer questions, never judging, it was my first time using this technique and she really provided a lot of help, yet, it was a true collaboration because she was really welcoming our suggestions. That test knit brought a great sense of community.
    May you have plenty of meaningful time with your loved ones in this New Year. I wish us all PEACE, Health, Empathy, Compassion, Love and Joy for the 2024. May we all have lots of time for creativity and crafting. I choose KINDNESS as my word for 2024, I will carry it in heart, words and actions, hoping it will be a good shield against the horrors of wars.

      Thank you! ❤️ What lovely wishes and thoughts for the New Year. It does feel like the world needs a lot of kindness right now and let's do what we can to give it that. ❤️❤️
      The Homebody Socks came with the little faux cable at the top. Although I've seen other Homebody socks that don't have it so I suspect there may be two Homebody Socks pattern out there.
      It's so wonderful to hear about such a lovely test knit experience. I've been lucky to have had similar experiences with the test knits I've participated in, but I know it's not always the case.

    • @nicolelafontaine1720
      @nicolelafontaine1720 8 месяцев назад

      Oh ! No ! Not always the case, I once had a designer very vexed when I pointed mistakes, even if I thought that is the purpose of test knitting. I must say I am a very detailed oriented person, so often the first one to find mistakes. I also feel some designers use us as tech editors and expect us to provide solutions which I am happy to propose to an open minded person, a bit less to someone who is reinventing the wheel...
      I have also contacted a designer of a published pattern pointing out several mistakes in her pattern. She was quite gracious about it, thankful, and she published a second version very quickly, at least for the PDF version. I don't think her pattern had been tech edited nor even tested, so it might be a while before I knit from her book again. At least she was also very kind. @@bobblesandberries

    I really enjoyed this episode and your feedback on each item. I have had the bee shawl on my list for a longtime, perhaps this yeah i'll get around to knitting it! My favourite project from 2023 is probably my Leith cardigan and also my three (!!!) Hervé skirts. Both items because I love the finished item but also knitting them. The test knit for the Leith was a wonderful experience and I had so much fun with the stripes which seemed to knit up so quickly. The Hervé is a gorgeous item that I love to wear and have fun styling, lots of mindless stockinette with nice details at the start and finish.

    Gosh, you've made a lot of lovely things, Aude. I didn't know about filtering finished projects by year - that is cool; I did it myself and was quite surprised. I have a question for you about the Lento. I'd love to make it but before buying the pattern I am dubious about the apparent number of errors in the pattern that Ravelry users comment on. Did you have a problem with errors?

    • @bobblesandberries
      @bobblesandberries  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, that filter feature is really nice! I don't remember having any issues with my Lento. But I also knit it almost a year ago so I might not remember. I knit it from the magazine. If the pattern is now available on its own, the errors may have been fixed?
