Sarah I love all your knits and I’m not finished watching your video but I keep thinking “just step backwards so I can see the entire sweater!” 😂 Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations - you are definitely inspiring me!!!
Dearest Sara, thank you for recording and sharing !I understand very well about knitting therapy , I have been using it myself this year a lot. I am Ukrainian and my country and my family are in the horrible war facing death every day . I can’t help… spend most of my free time knitting, keeps me grounded. Your work is beautiful , I love your colours, I also tend to use neutral s, and then feel guilt for not using more colours 😂. Being mother of 4 I can only imagine what stress you are under . Thank goodness for finding something that benefits everyone in your family . Happy New Year 🎉, keep going !
This is my first time watching and I enjoyed it very much. And I think you should be so proud of everything you have knit. All are beautifully done and well thought out. I personally do not understand here as of late I’m hearing so many podcasters apologize for the amount that they knit in 2023. To me, I find that totally unnecessary to do so. I instead am in awe and have saved several of the patterns that you have knit. You have a new subscriber. Well done in 2023!
Wow Sarah, you are an amazing maker! I loved that you included details about each garment and if they were your favorites. I am very inspired to try out some Sandnes Garn patterns.
Hello, what a beautiful year of knitting ! It was a real pleasure to watch you, you've made beautiful garments. Knitting is my therapy too. Thank you for this so nice video 🧡🧡🧡
Thanks for another video with lots of knitting inspiration. You are an amazing knitter. I think you should fix the Romy sweater because it looks so nice on you - the colors and design. Can you stretch the neck out in blocking so it has a more relaxed fit? If not, you could cut it off and reknit it or take off part of the turtle neck off and fold it over for a shorter collar. You should really salvage it because the colors compliment your hair and skin colors so well. I put a couple of knits you mentioned in my queue and hope to get to them in 2024. Happy 2024 and I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm happy to hear that you've added some of the patterns I mentioned to your queue 😊. I'm very tempted to frog the neck and do a much shorter, fold-over neckband for sure. I'm pretty sure that is what I might end up doing, because I love the garment.. 😅 Happy 2024 to you as well!
Lóvely! Wonderfull, your knitting queeste. I recognitie: haring a burn out myself, and also this knitting addiction. So meditative and fullfilling. Thank you for the nice inspiration and ideas
Sarah, you've completely changed my mind about variegated yarns! I didn't think they were for me, but I'm so in love with the ones that you use! I just started my own knitting podcast and I had to give you a shoutout in my first video about this because it's really sent me in a spiral trying to figure out what to do with my precious new skein of Hedgehog Fibres 😂
No need to apologise about knitting so much, it’s great if you have the time for it and it brings you joy and not causing any problems! I agree with the other comment suggesting you ask your family what colours they prefer, it’s something I also learned to be careful about. If it’s a surprise gift, I usually look at the colours they choose for themselves and wear a lot.
So I am just discovering your channel and I love everything that you have made. I think we have a very similar style and I found several great patterns that I have now put in my favorites. Although I do like brighter colors that you!😂 I also have a channel called @girlinatent and editing is my least favorite part. My channel is about camping not knitting but I always knit when I camp! Anyway, all that to say thank you and, yes, you are inspiring and I will be following you!
You take care of you and get well. You knit enough last year to cover healing this year. Your garments are absolutely beautiful. Your Marble sweater is so lovely and it's a shame your daughter changed her style after it was knit. I know I did that to my own mom, so try not to take it personally. Love your knits and your style.
Wow. The time it takes for you to complete a garment is the same as it takes for me to choose a pattern! P.S. If you find good men’s pattern sources please make a video!
Thank you for your candor, I think many get comfort from fiber arts as well. However, I completely blame you for my sandnes garn booklet addiction this year 😂
Don’t feel that you need to justify how much you knit. This is the first time I have seen your video so I saw all of your sweaters at one time. I suggest that you look into having someone do your colors. Most of your sweaters are shades of putty which is probably not the best choice for your skin tone. Even your striped sweaters with colors have a version of the putty color near your face. In addition, kids generally don’t like “neutrals” so that may be part of the problem with them not wanting to wear their knits. If you make something for someone else, it is generally a good idea to let them pick the color if you actually want them to wear it. This is not criticism. Just some ideas.
Beautiful knits- I hope you fix the things that keep you from wearing the ones you don't wear- like the turtle neck - beautiful on you- just change the neck!
It would have been a great idea to size down with the Facile sweater, alpaca grows a lot lengthwise, so the armcye and sleeves grew a lot after washing too, making it cumbersome to wear. Hopefully you can repurpose the yarn, or gift/sell it to someone who fits it better. With the Romy sweater, you can shorten the turtleneck (say, 11cm or 13cm) and go straight to an italian bind off without doing the double knitting - it's the double knitting that makes it too tight.
Not silly at all :) I purchase from this online store- titityy.fi/en/group/sandnes-garn/135 They're super fast and normally get the recent booklets in very quickly. Hope this helps!
This is my first time here, and am blown away by the quantity and quality of your knits. Never apologize for doing something that not only brings you joy but also peace. Sending lots of healing peaceful energy your way. If you believe in energy work Spring Forest Qigong is amazing and has free classes here on RUclips and also healing offered on their website. I've liked and subscribed 😊 Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Sarah I love all your knits and I’m not finished watching your video but I keep thinking “just step backwards so I can see the entire sweater!” 😂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations - you are definitely inspiring me!!!
you’re my sandnes garn booklet guru! i haven’t seen much content on them except for your channel which is great bc i am up to 3 booklets now 😊
Awesome! I love them, lol. I'm very eager to see their newest collection coming soon! 😅🥰

Wow. How do you get the time to knit so much with three kids. Definitely an inspiration.
Thank you so much! I find any moment that I can to knit 😅🧶
First off - 3 kids - and you could knit 44 pcs - wow! you're a beautiful knitter. TY I made a ton of notes for f/u
Thank you so much 💓
Hi! Lovely knits! Where do you buy your sandnes garn books?
Hi there, thanks so much. And I purchase my patterns from titityy.fi/en
Beautiful knits- I hope you fix the things that keep you from wearing the ones you don't wear- like the turtle neck - beautiful on you- just change the neck!

Lol you had a little ghostly apparition come in around the 30 min mark
Homeschool, you say. As a teacher, I understand. You start knitting at exactly 3:01pm
This is probably a silly question but how do you get the Sandnes Garn Booklets?
Not silly at all :) I purchase from this online store- titityy.fi/en/group/sandnes-garn/135 They're super fast and normally get the recent booklets in very quickly. Hope this helps!
@@sarahlillymakes Thank you so much! I was looking all over earlier today after I saw your Hadley Genser and I knew I had to make one just like it :)
