Such a good album! One of the best of the year
can't wait for the rest of this series. seriously cool seeing my favourite band's process, hearing the raw material, the guitar riffs. the album sounds so great and i guess that's testament to the time and freedom the band had to write and experiment. hats off.

Yeah, not shocking considering they’re not working with psychotic-egomaniac Sam Pura anymore.

Better Art He is extremely controlling and arrogant, and I’ve heard quite a few first hand stories of how shitty it can be to work with him. For example, when these guys decided to re-record a song with someone else, Sam Pura went on his podcast and shit all over them for like 15 minutes, and brought up a bunch of old irrelevant bullshit just to try to slam them.
Idk, I don’t know him, I just see a pattern that every artist he works with ends up not wanting to work with him again (including TSSF now which is crazy considering how close they were), so it kind of adds up to the stories I’ve heard about him.

Sam Tonkin It was his own podcast called “best friends” or something. I forgot which exact episode, but it was one of the earlier ones.
