I asked Nolan Ryan about his fight and he said " I was actually still sore from the last time I was charged on the mound, so I just grabbed the kid like a calf and thumped his little head for him." He and his wife are the most down to earth people, I've nothing but respect for he and his family.
Exactly what I said. How do you not include a man legitimately jumping into the dugout and taking on an entire team? Or for that matter the giant brawl between the reds and cardinals a few years ago.
Ventura was ejected from the game for attacking Ryan. Ryan continued playing. Nolan Ryan is also a cattle rancher & handled Ventura as he would a bull. Ventura wildly underestimated Ryan's strength (I suppose since Ryan was 20 years older). They're friendly now. No hard feelings.
It would be cool if you guys did this with NHL enforcers, aka guys that have a job to be physical and fight if needed. some examples being Tie Domi, Bob Probert, Ryan Reaves, Tom Wilson, and so much more you could talk about.

Yes! I saw the title of the video and first thing I thought was, "Hope they watch Ryan/Ventura or Odor/Bautista. I live about 12 miles from the stadium and I was actually at the game when Ryan punched Ventura.
Nolan Ryan was the best lol. He was 50 years old and that 20-something Ventura rushed the mound and got his butt kicked by an old guy hahah..was great.
One thing that wasn't mentioned is that Puig looked all tough and mighty but he would always wait until a teammate was holding him back or standing between him and the opponent. That way he wouldn't have to actually fight.
Oooh...2 of those were in Texas. (I do love my home.) This was from television sports interview: "The White Sox and Rangers hadn't been getting along at the time. Alex Fernandez hit Texas slugger Juan Gonzalez the inning before. If Ryan wanted to retaliate (as he often did), Ventura was the logical target because his single in the first inning gave the Sox a 1-0 lead. But even before the game began (right around the time he met with the young Olympians about sportsmanship), Ventura told his teammates that if he got hit, he was going to charge the mound no matter who was out there." One of the young Olympians, Konerko said "That made me think nothing less of him, only more because anybody who's going to charge Nolan Ryan, you gotta have..." Konerko paused for a few seconds, trying to find the right word he can use on family television. Then one popped in his head. "You gotta have some guts, let's just put it that way." Ryan was 46, yes, but 6'2", and at the top of his game, threw a fastball at 173 kph. Not an easy target. He took down Ventura's charge in a very business-like manner, then pitched the rest of the game. It's still one of the most popular old baseball clips ever.
Thing is the aggressive rivalry between the Ranges and the Jays is legendary. There is even a large Mural Of Nolan Ryan Having Ventura in a headlock beating the stuffing out of him near downtown Dallas. If you ever come to Texas you should visit it
The bar I go to in Dallas Texas said they would give Odor free drinks any time he comes back to Texas and wants to stop in. That game was such a fun night. Every Texan baseball fan was just laughing about for weeks lol

You should have showed the Braves-Padres brawl from the 1980s, by far the best fight in MLB history. Also you should do some reactions to NHL brawls, Rangers-Bruins is a good one, the Good Friday Massacre between Montreal and Quebec is a good one, Detroit-Colorado in the 90s is also a good one.
They didn't include the Armando Benitez fight against the Yankees that spilled in to the dugout and lasted hard for like five minutes. That was the all time wildest brawl

I hate how the U.S has become more violent. I'm an older woman and after my cancer surgery I was able to go to the farmers market with my husband I didn't have any hair so I wore a cap and I was using a walker, I had my purse fastened to the handle bars and we were enjoying the day it had been so long since we were able to do so when all of a sudden in the middle of a crowd a woman and three men came up and attacked us and tried to grab my purse but it was fastened well and my husband was able to protect me somewhat. They ran off mostly because of him and they couldn't get what they wanted and both the crowd and us were stunned. I had some of my stitches tear open from surgery, and now the U.S is even more violent, This is not what I grew up with and I'm sorry for all the people throughout our history that had to go through much worse violence. I hope we could all just come together and treat each other the way we want to be treated. Everyone Stay safe
America is basically a very violent country. Really enjoyed watching your reaction to one of our favorite "sporting events" that is considered America's favorite past time games. I think America's favorite sports today is the NFL and NBA, not baseball.

@@ericarroyo4609 At least they did show Puig with Cincinnati. Was glad to see that as I'm from Cincy.
It's probably not their video. If it is, then they also missed the Red Sox/Yankees from 2004.
That's a classic.
Amir Garrett was already one of my favorites, but that solidified him as a favorite forever.

As a pirates fan and a baseball fan I remember all of these
Rougned Odor from Venezuela ! That punch my guy
someone once said that Robin Ventura set a record by getting six hits from Nolan Ryan in that at-bat
