Great video…love the look. I just ordered an SL3-S, and wonder what you use for a battery solution for this video rig. Thanks.

Thanks for the wonderful video Florian. Can the Smallrig cage be dismantled to just a simple baseplate? Don't need the extra pieces at the sides and top. Only need the arca swiss plate at the bottom

Thank you for the wonderful comment! No, the cage is one peace and cannot be dismantled.

What can I add to the SL3 cage to protect my lens that I attach to the camera? Is there a way to support the camera and lens so the camera will not tip over when placing it on a table??

I recommend adding a baseplate with a dual 15mm road Clamp and some Stainless Steel Rods. This will prevent the setup from tilting frontwise and damaging the lens. There should even be rod clamps to fix the lens further. You can also add a Matte Box. It looks cool, but of course, it gets a bit bulkier. The other thing you could do is attach the lens hood, and then the lens weight will most likely be on the lens hood when you put the camera down.

I just sent you an email, but, can you tell me how I can add something to the bottom of the SL3 cage I just bought to keep the camera from tipping over when I set it down? There seems to be a place at the bottom front of the cage that something could be attached to stick out under the bottom of the attached lens to keep it from tipping over and thus protecting the lens from any possible damage. Thank you for your content. I am one of your subscribers and watch all of your videos. Thank you

@@jonwalker3299 I assume you are in the US... So I would go with B&H (www.bhphotovideo.com) or Adorama (www.adorama.com); they have everything. You can also check out Amazon or, for Small Rig, directly on the Small Rig website.
