My son started on a runner/strider (18 months) bike then he learned how to pedal (3years) and when he turned 4.5 he started on his Suzuki jr50. 30 hours on the clock and he is now is 5 and loving riding.
I tried riding my dads 250, but I wanted something bigger and bolder, so he got me a 450, best decision ever, I can tippy toe, but that's what makes it fun

i LOVE the power of the smaller bikes like the 65 and 85, maybe you don’t have all the power of the bigger cc but you can learn a lot and you have more fun learning than doing a wheelie 16 times

I’m 14 now and already trying to beat my best times and try to clear some of the doubles on the track. The ttr just can’t do much on the track. Next year, (2022) I’m getting a kx 100. Super exited for that. The ttr sucks now 😂 fun and great beginner bike but it doesn’t last my needs lol
@@spaghetti1563 almost 5’3. The ttr 125 is good for people in the 4’11-5’3 range. The kx 100 is a powerful bike so definitely don’t start there. But good for the 5’0-5’5 ish range. If just starting out maybe get a pit bike like a 110. Whether that’s a crf, klx, ttr, whatever. Or if you are looking for something that isn’t a pitter, get a 125 4 stroke.. like the klx, ttr etc. As I said I’m 14 and now on the kx 100 and it fits me really well. But don’t start with a powerful 2 stroke race bike. They need lots of work and experience to ride.

Ima be honest, I’m 13 and I wanna get a 85 ktm. I am not good with 2 strokes because they are clutch. I grew up on, and have a 4 stroke bike, (110 CRF). I have a 65 KX which I am learning to ride properly, and hopefully I will get a step up to a bigger bike soon.
I was thinking it would have been a good idea to give some height information. Kids can vary massively in height at the same age. My daughter is 10 yrs old and 1m40 but some of her friends are 1m55. I'm looking to get her a KTM65 based on her height, weight (30kg) and inside leg measurement. The 65's seat height seems to fit but some of her friends would probably need the 85SW.
@@richardsereda1433 well at 14 I still had the 150 2 stroke which I loved, its a really good mix between power and weight so that could be a good option or maybe a 230cc 4 stroke only if you have a good amount of experience. I was on the 150 because I had quite the experience and I wanted to get into the adult categories for enduro, I had a 110 which wasn't going to make me competitive. If you arent very experienced a 110cc could be a good option too.

Get an 85 then I'm 14 too and I have an 85. What he didn't say is te 85 has small wheel size and big wheel size. Or if you don't want tot have to buy another bike get a yz125 there cheap but really good. If you wanted to spend a little extra but get way better you can get a husky or KTM. the only thing is there very tall full size bike so it might be different depending on your height

My first bike was a Apollo 90 cc and I highly recommend it. It is fast and can hit 35 to 40mph. I was 11 when I got it and it is a good bike.

Go 4 stroke, 2 strokes are zippy, I still have my first 125 4 stroke and I have outgrown it power wise and hight wise, 2 strokes have a lot of kick
