- We put the 3 different most popular kids KTM bikes side by side to show the difference in size and parts. The MotoMermel boys help show off the sizes by their heights and ages. These are the KTM bikes that kids usually start riding at 5 years old and go to 13-14 years old. This includes the 2018 KTM 50sx senior, 2018 KTM 65sx, and 2022 KTM 85sx.

Would you consider a ktm50 senior for my daughter who just turned 9? She’s been an atv rider and wants to learn to ride. I will be taking her to mild tracks with me so she can learn. She’s 52” tall currently. I had her sit on a 110 and it fit her perfectly. Like the idea of the ktm e5’s because she can ride around my property.

I want to turn my 65 into a mini moto. Do you know if the front wheel from the 50 will fit onto the 65? Is the axle the same size? Is the break rotor the same size? I'm looking for the cheapest way to get 12" wheels on front and rear. Thanks

awesome video... is it weird that i drive a raptor 700r racing quad but im looking at these bikes for my 2 year old when he grows up and i think im more excited then he will ever be. I want a mini ktm for myself would a 65 or 85 hold a 200 man no problem or probably half to upgrade suspenion.

My boy is 11. 5’ tall. He’s been ripping 110’s and moved up to a Honda 125r but needs better shocks.
I’m wanting to get him on a 85 sx, and lower a bit for control, but do you think it’s too powerful or do you see your boy able to maintain the power?
Throttle control is absolutely necessary on any bike. If he has it in the 110, he will understand it on the other bikes. He is tall enough for the 85. It will prob make him a better rider too. Everyone whiskey throttles occasionally just have him go slow.

Hi so my son is 5,5 11 year old what would be a good beginner bike he has about 6 years of riding a 100cc moped
Yamaha ttr125 or the Honda version. Also could find one of the Chinese bikes like SSR 110 or 125. Stay away from the race bikes unless he wants to jump right in!

Go with a 4stroke Honda 125 or Yamaha 125

CRF110 or if you want a more track oriented bike go with a 65cc. Unless you are saying the bike is 9-12 years old… I think as long as you understand how to work on it it will be ok!

Not being a troll, I swear… I’m not a small guy. I’m 5’9, 185ish. But I was wondering what the smallest bike I could get that me and my mom could ride around the farm together. Nothing competitive or anything like that. Nothing fast. Just something we would fit on that’s not too heavy for a 65 year old active woman to be able yo hold up to ride around for fun? Can adults ride 50cc bikes? They do look small. What about an 85 or 100? Thoughts?

Get you an 85...my son turns 12 tomorrow, he's about your height. I'm looking at 85s for him. No such thing as a bike with too much power, the bike can only go as fast as u want it too. Getting a bike that's too slow will upset u. For instance, a ttr 125 ain't enough bike engine wise; size wise it's a perfect fit.

You will be fine on that. Just watch a lot of RUclips on how to work on it

85 with 19/16 wheels are go for the 125 and lower it till you grow a bit more in the next year.

If you are going to hit the track serious… then a 85 big wheel will be good then move into a bigger bike. If you want to bop around on trails go for a Yamaha TTR125

They are but a lot of people remove the injection part since it clogs and just do premix

5’7 16 not to much experience, 85cc 2stroke seems good to me because im not experienced but let me know
Could depend on your weight, if you're not experienced I would stick to the 85cc. You would definitely fit well on a 125cc, but learning how to drive on a smaller bike before getting a bigger one is smart.
Yea your big for a 85 unless you get a the big wheel version. Still small but will be fun.

Yea depends on height and ability
The adjustment on the rear spring is not to adjust the ride hieght in the rear. Its to set the sag to match the riders weight. Rookie are hilarious.

By loosening the spring and increasing sag you are dropping the ride height of your kid is not tall enough. Go troll somewhere else.

Seat height for an 85 is 33.5 inches. You must have very long legs and a short torso if you’re only 5’2 and can touch the floor no problem with both feet. I’m an adult and 5’11, I’d say you’d need to be 5’6 or so to stand flat footed on an SX 85 at least. Hell I can’t stand flat footed on a full sized bike at 38 inch seat height ;) and again I’m just under 6 foot tall.
