    I have antenna for my locals. I've had Philo for about 8 months. I've been 100% satisfied with it. I was paying over $100 for dish. $20 or $25, in my opinion is a deal

      That's great if you don't mind not having CNN, MSNBC or ESPN. Honestly I think philos great for people who don't care about sports or the news which is probably mostly women. You really can't compare Philo and RUclips TV because RUclips TV has so many more channels especially the NBA, NHL, mdl, and NFL Network plus CNN and MSNBC. You get what you pay for

      @@gregscottfordemocracy What if you live someplace where the sports teams suck... like I do? I wouldn't be watching them anyway, so why pay extra? And as far as the news is concerned, you could find out anything you'd need to know from the internet... it'll definitely be there. And you can take care of your local channels with a damn OTA antenna anyway.

    • @gregscottfordemocracy
      @gregscottfordemocracy 2 года назад

      @@jamesorsby7553 well it shouldn't matter if you teams suck or not. That's not being a real fan of your team. It's also not about your local teams but being a sports fan in general. You might not want to watch your local team but you might want to watch another game with other teams. I'm a Philly sports fan but I also might want to watch a game that doesn't have my teams playing just because I like sports a lot. For example, I'm a really big hockey and basketball thin. I might not want to watch the Sixers or Flyers playing if they're playing bad but I might want to watch another game that's more competitive that might be on ESPN. Plus ESPN also has a lot of the playoff games which I enjoy watching even if my team isn't playing just because I'm a really big sports fan. If the Sixers are playing and they're getting blown out, I'll probably turn it off and see if there's another game on that's more competitive. I'll watch any NHL or NBA game if two very good teams are playing even if my team, the flyers aren't playing. That's why I like having ESPN because I like to know what's going on around the League and it's also why I like having the NFL Network, the NHL network and NBA TV because not only do they have games on but also have news about what's going on with other teams which sometimes I find interesting depending on who the player is and what it's about. And another reason I like having ESPN and also Fox Sports channel is because they have sports talk shows such as Undisputed Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless and other morning Sports shows I find interesting. And I'm also a News Junkie watch CNN and MSNBC a lot so Sports and news is the majority of my TV viewing. CNN and MSNBC are much more than just learning about what's going on in the world and in my country. I like CNN and MSNBC for their talk shows and the discussions they have with their guests because a lot of times I'd rather listen to a good conversation on MSNBC or CNN rather than reading the article about it. For example one of my favorite shows on msnbc's The Rachel Maddow Show. I find her very intelligent, witty, funny, informative and very engaging. That's something you just can't get just by reading about the news. Watching her and other people discuss the news is a lot more engaging and stimulating than just reading about it on the internet. Sure, I also read a lot of stuff that's on the internet but I also like to watch talk shows with conversation about politics and sports periods it's for the same reason why watching sports on TV or my computer is so much more entertaining than just listening to it on the radio. Watching anything is so much more interesting than just reading about it or listening to it. It's the same reason why I rather watch the movie then read the book. I find the visual experience so much more stimulating

    • @MichaelSaves

      No you can’t record locals. You can record only the Philo channels. Some people use Hulu On Demand (the cheap plan) which offers a lot of broadcast TV content the next day. Well that answers my question. I was hoping this would be a replacement for my TiVo that I use with antenna. Where I could, instead, have the extra programming and record everything in one place. Philo, or whoever gets it together to offer a streaming/service WITH DVR capability at an affordable price, is going to clean up in this market. That is basically what most of us Cord Cutters want. Not all these multiple different services and boxes to add to our tv at prices from $8 to $25 a month…. When you’re all done with it, you could end up paying just as much as one did paying for cable or satellite.

    This is a great way to bundle these channels on the cheap. Adding certain channels with providers that force high rights charges prevent them for being an option. Cheers to Viacom , A&E Discover, Sony for getting on board.
    These other networks are scoundrels why they are not in the channel list. Forced channel packages. Old tactics.
    Those whom support that are why most services are unfairly priced and at a constant rise.
    $5 in 3 years with additional services is not a price increase. Its a decrease to consider what it really should be considered inflation of a economy. What price hasn't gone up. Food, everything. Thinking otherwise is immature and unrealistic
