Hulu/LIve TV and Fubo were also missing four channels (Science Channel required a $7.99 add-on for both). Useful video, thanks. FYI - I have learned that, while Fubo "includes" RSN's it then adds (with no choice to avoid) an RSN fee of appx. $15.00/month, which brings its actual monthly price much closer to Direct TV stream's price (within $5 - $10/month). Since DTV also includes the unlimited storage, more screens and several other channels Fubo lacks, I'm planning to use DTV stream.

RUclips is going up to $82.99 per month. But it beats my UVerse at $150, even if I add the entertainment plus channels. Testing it out now and it seems to be a good option for me. Thanks for breaking all of these down.
@@kool8800 So I "pulled the plug" on Tuesday. When I called AT&T the guy said "Oh, we just received an offer for you. We can give you $30 per month off for a year". Well, too little too late, At $175/month for U-Verse + Max plus all the taxes and "service fees" I can save at least $50/month with RUclips and the Entertainment package. And I get Starz, Paramount+ & Showtime along with it. On top of it, I'm going to get the family plan with my daughter, which will cut the cost in half. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to use it; I learn more every day. Honestly, the only thing I miss is the ability to push a button to get a summary of what the program is about. But maybe I'll figure that out, too. But it's not worth all the extra cost to keep the U-Verse. My next "cord cutting" is going to be AOL! At my age (78), I'm finally getting wise.
He makes it sound like you can only record for free up to 9 months. This is not the case, you can only store recordings for up to 9 months then they will drop off or expire. You do not have to pay for storage after 9 months. Its all in the way people word it.
Tom, they are all basically the same. What you have to do is determine which shows or networks you prefer. I have tried Sling, Hulu with live tv, Fubo and RUclipstv, and i prefer RUclips tv. Directv Stream requires a 2 year committment, I recommend to stay away from that option.
I don't like fubo bc they're misleading. They advertise 75/mo... But when u sign up its 88 bc of rsns. And that price is not optional. they should just say its 88/mo....bit then that's more than others. Fubo is a scam
They tell you that when you sign up, so I don't see that as a scam. And from what little I know every provider has extra fees. My Comcast/Xfinity cable charges $24.99 for that regional sports fee and they dropped the Bally Sports channel so I can't watch the Braves games anymore. So I had to go somewhere to find Bally Sports and Fubo was was the best choice I could find. Approximately $99 total with Fubo with much more recording space and recording options vs $224 with Xfinity including the internet connection. I am getting new fiber cable in two weeks from my local telephone company and then I will eliminate all of my Xfinity services.
Can you comment on how these services do for Canadians? Some do have individual channels with Geo fencing, but many don’t. Which stream services offers BEST video/audio quality??? Direct TV and RUclips TV seem the same, not 1080p or 4k, anyone offer better than either one of these?
I've tried yttv, Hulu, DirecTV stream and fubo.... In my honest opinion, Hulu Live TV has the best picture quality. They have 3 day trial if you wanna try em out
DTV is all 1080i. YTTV varies by the channel - and even when a particular channel has a higher quality available, you often have to manually select it every time you select the channel.
@@scotty2221 yep. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with Samsung so they can diagnose what I thought was my failing QLED. Turns out, the problem is caused only by YTTV. What's Being Learned From Cable. "What has become increasingly obvious, though, is for all the knocks on cable, starting with the fact consumers paid for lots of channels they never watched, its one-stop-shopping approach eliminated some of the challenges springing up now. That old system worked because the “bundle” actually created a mechanism to financially support a vast number of choices serving various tastes. Simply put, paying for ESPN if you don’t like sports, or CNN and MSNBC if you don’t watch news, might have been irritating, but those millions of cable subscriptions spread out the revenue in a way that made dozens and dozens of channels available and affordable. The dream of a more a la carte system, where you pay for what you watch, has turned out to elusive, primarily because there’s no way - at least yet - to adopt that where the cost doesn’t become onerous, and maybe even prohibitive, for many consumers." From: Streaming’s ‘great re-bundling’ has begun. What that could mean for subscribers CNN

@@fatherofunicorns700 RUclips tv prices going up in Jan 2025
That`s why we are ditching FUBO.
Can you comment on how these services do for Canadians? Some do have individual channels with Geo fencing, but many don’t. Knowing which do and don’t would be very helpful and for the services they may be offering something because there’s 40 million of us up here so it’s like adding the state of California all over again!
RUclips TV seems keep buffering. All the Netflix, Max and others buffer.
Fox News
CBS News
Sounds like a hardware or isp issue not a streaming service issue…
Cable companies own must channels and this is why you don't see services with all channels at an affordable price. Anything over $25 is trash!
Thank you
RUclips TV is better than hulu
Agreed, Hulu is without Univision or unimas
Do either of these services offer soccer channels
Fubo
I would sub to yttv but they domt carry the a&e channel. And i canr subscribe to it individually so im stuck
You can get Discovery + for $4.99 a month. It has A&E plus plenty of others.
@kerihartwell5140 I love the Discovery + channel but mine went up to $6.99 a month. I have RUclips TV but can't watch the Braves live and heard you could get all the sports channels as long as you had a vpn number. $15.00 extra?? Good grief!
I have RUclips TV and i pay an extra $5.00 for 4K visuals.. but it's not all channels ...
Really??? It says my upgrade is $9.99!!! Plus, it’s VERY few channels - mostly professional sports.
@@Em_Dee_Aitch Well that's not fair. Got this nice 4k TV and most of the channels look like crap. WTF
@@scotty2221 yep. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with Samsung so they can diagnose what I thought was my failing QLED. Turns out, the problem is caused only by YTTV. It’s a compressed signal, and it’s a horrendous quality. Regardless, I’m going back to Sony, because their processors manage upscaling far better.
@@Em_Dee_Aitch I have DTV for over 20 yrs. Some of their programming is broadcast in 720, and some are 1080.
Fubo adds a regional fee in addition to monthly fee
Yep 14.99
The dream of a more a la carte system, where you pay for what you watch, has turned out to elusive, primarily because there’s no way - at least yet - to adopt that where the cost doesn’t become onerous, and maybe even prohibitive, for many consumers."

My father in law wants to watch usa network but is not really sure which one. So far sounds like sling would be more cheaper for him. Unless you know a better app?
Tried HULU live TV on our Starlink Mini Mobile plan and it wouldn’t work!!!
Aww man was hoping it was gonna work I just ordered starlink and was gonna cancel my direct tv.
Has your opinion changed on Fubo since they recently cancelled 19 channels??
This is why I am watching this video right now.
What channels?
I now have an AppleTV box instead of a cable company box. I do have the cable company's modem. What does AppleTV offer? Thanks.
I realized Hulu + live tv was missing/excluding two channels (Univision and Unimas).

If you live in the New York area and need yes network and msg Hulu doesn’t carry it. So no Knicks, rangers and yankee games. Fubo has that if that’s what you want.
More massive amounts of channels when we literally only watch like 10 channels worth of...
Only paying $7.99 on Hulu as I do not need Disney or sports. I cannot get national ABC national news at the usual 6:30 pm time slot. I have to wait until either later in the evening or the next day!😮
Regular Hulu want let you. You have to change to Hulu TV
Do you still need to pay for Internet Services with any of these subscriptions?
Yes, you will need an internet provider to use any of these streaming services.
Yes Philip you need to have internet lol
Yea just stick to cable and avoid the headache. Id have just the sports channels on cable and watch on your phone for free Pluto TV
YTTV DVR has no episode limit... DirecTV has a 30 episodes limit, then it starts deleting the older episodes to add new ones.
Directtv Stream changed that in July, it's unlimited DVR just like YTTV now.
What about IPTV streaming services?
What is IPTV? International?
@@t.k.morris IPTV are streaming services offering 20,000+ channels and priced as low as $15/mo or $365/lifetime. On the edge of legality but difficult for consumers to know whether they are legal or not. Some suggest using a VPN. as well. Been around for 10+ years in many cases so not sure why so many exist if all are illegal. Some top rated ones are Apollo TV, Xtreme HD IPTV, CatchON, TiVistation, etc.
I went this direction five years ago, I pay about 12/mo for everything. All sports, regular programming a zillion network channels, pick your choice and time. All the movies, series, kids, and Canada, UK as well. Use a VPN to change your physical location to avoid geo blackouts.

Fubo also charge 14.99 for rsn
Yes they do but I am still very happy with their service.

Getting fiber-optic and will cut the cable to Xfinity. Deciding on a streaming service w/ good sports. Sadly, FUBO doesn’t have CNN. Is Hulu the next best sports option? They have ESPN+. But user-friendly interface seems problematic according to some reviews. Your thoughts?
When you said the cheapest of these is $72.99 per month is when I stopped watching. Next!
My cable was 130 a month lol

I would contact Hulu on the streaming limitation on TV’s you have.
I would end the service and try investigating online for very cheap options, just open your eyes, there are a zillion.

Hulu and Paramount + guaranteed live NFL games but it doesn’t. Complete bullshit.
It has some Live NFL games, not all.
Fubo just got rid of SNY so no Mets games! I had to switch to DIRECTV plus it has a ton more channels like Reelz
I have Hulu Live for SNY and Mets, but the user interface SUCKS. I was planning on starting Fubo next week, but heard it dropped SNY!! So now I either continue with sucky Hulu for $76.99, or go with a higher quality DirecTVstream for about $108.99. The fact I am thinking about it shows how much Hulu SUCKS. I think it is so bad because I compare it to the smooth interfaace of YTTV which I had before it too dropped SNY last summer
Iam paying $90 a month for just internet wifi only, fuck spectrum
