Will you ever get Antenna tv channel
I've decided to try this service. I'm tired of the overinflated prices from DirectTV, RUclips, etc.
I have had Philo for around 18 months and I love it. Lots of great channels and plenty of flexibility. It's a great service
Never had a problem with Philo. It's good for what it is and I've been satisfied with it. Much less than other cord cutters. Just depends on your interests. To have it all you'll.always be paying the same price and even more for cable like tv while steaming....
I'm a T-Mobile customer and signed up with Philo yesterday. I live it so far. I love watching American Heros Channel which is always an ad on with other streaming services.
Tmobile is ok I also got Netflix and apple tv for free
I like Philo. It's really pretty good. Some of the shows have commercials, but that's okay if it keeps the price down. I cut the cord about a year ago and never looked back.
Buddy, thank you. You just saved me a ton of money with that T-Mobile promo. If I may mention, I just left FuboTV and switch to Philo. As a TV professional and dorky video whiz, I must say that although both predominantly stream at 720p, Philo has a much much clearer picture and I would attribute that to a much higher megabit per second video rate, somewhere around 8-10 Mbps compared to fubo which appears to be between 2-4 Mbps. That higher rate on Philo makes it look like full HD 1080p even on my 75 inch Samsung TV. Video quality is remarkable on Philo. Between adding a Walmart antenna on the roof getting 95 locals and Philo, I'm here to stay. Keep up the good work on the videos, thanks. Vince from Western PA.
Philo added now Start TV, H&I and Me TV wooohooo
I found your vid just as I needed it. I recently cut the cable cord because of the cost and wondered what I could use to watch all the Christmas shows that'll soon be showing. Philo seems like a good service. You've sold me. Thank you.
This is so detailed and helpful. Thank you! 👏🏾
You're so welcome!
I've had DirecTV in my camper for 4 years and really hate them. We're moving back into our house soon and you convinced me to try Philo. Looking forward to that final call to DirecTV. Thanks
My sister has this , I just signed in too her account
Just canceled Sling TV due to Increase Monthly Fee. Really liking Philo they have every channel I love
I have Sling tv now, considering Philo...
Philo is probably going to go up to after everyone switch over 🤣
Love Philo. They have Reelz and A&E. Yes you don't get local channels but there are apps for those channels and there is always good old fashion bunny ears. Cut the cord and still have not found anything cheaper or better than Philo.
They have Reelz? Are you sure?
We have tried Sling, RUclips, Fubo, Frndly TV, and Philo TV. We would prefer the economy of Frndly TV or Philo TV. However, Frndly TV forces a time limit on contiguous viewing (we leave our TV on for our pet). There is annoying noises coming from Philo TV (we tried different remotes, cleared cache, uninstalled apps, checked internet speeds, and actually proved that we could identify that Philo broadcasts were the culprit (the same show on Fubo and You Tube TV were noise free unlike Philo). We notified Philo and they have escalated the ticket to their tech team. Hopefully, Frndly TV eliminates their time restriction or gives its customers the ability to bypass it if they have more than enough bandwidth.
I'm about to drop YT TV with college football winding down. Will go with Philo during the Winter. I simply rotate stuff depending on the season and my interest.
That's exactly what I'm about to do as well.
@@carbonunit5150 I did it today. Philo is not bad although the UI could be better.
AWESOME!
You just saved me $10.00 per month for my first year - Thank You!!
You’re welcome!
Your t-mobile link still works 8-22-22. Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
I like this app I just signed up for it so far so good
Awesome. I didn't know about the T-Mobile promo. I just got T-Mobile Internet!
T-Mobile offers a ton of streaming discounts. Not sure about the exact eligibility for everything since I use Verizon but definitely worth checking out their website to see if you qualify.
It has AMC, History, TLC and We which are basically what I watch, but anytime I want to find a program I have to resort to search function so to me it is clunky to use. The worst part is the ads. I get 5 minutes of drama then 2 1/2 minutes of ads consistently. Even VOD last night had same ads as DVR programs. All I can do to cope with this many ads is get up and walk out of the room or fall asleep and miss part of my show. At least with Direct TV I could DVR then fast forward through the ads. If I can find a decent alternative, I'll probably go for it.
You can put any program you like watching on your Saved list, or just look in the Guide. The Search function isn't a necessity.
You can definitely fast-forward through most ads with VOD as well.
You also should mention that you need a fire tv stick or roku does not work well with smart tv browser.
DIRECTV stream is $85.99 now as of June 2022 that’s why we are looking for an alternative now
Hi, I just watched your video. Very interesting. Do you know if Philo has CNN MSNBC ABC etc. We warch the news channels. Thanks
I have had Philo for almost a year now , I have had buffering issue and lost connections since day one. I have upgraded my router which delivers 150mps average and as high as 225mps, yet the buffering and lost connections continue. I don't have any issues with the other services, like Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc.
fbufLooking at Frndly TV now
Great video! So glad I cut the cord
I have only 3 mgs internet speed right now but could get faster if I can save $ from dishtv. So would 3 mgs work if watched on dvr only? Does Philo have good audio like dish? Is Plilo 1080?
I got Philo last week and i love it. I have an antenna so i still get the local channels. Plus I'm a T mobile customer so I'm paying $15 a month for Philo for the next 12 months. Not bad of a deal
Thanks for this review. I will get it through my TMobile
I see Google info that says Philo is not available on Samsung Smart TV's, is this correct?
Do you get channel fox 11 or channel 4
Does anyone know if full series are available to stream? Certain live TV streaming services only has the current season available for streaming or a limited number of episodes for past seasons.
T-Mobile still pay 10 bucks on the account every month for a year I'm going to sign up for it on the Thursday when I get paid
I want to add an hdtv antenna to see local channels, it’s for my mom’s tv.
Does Philo support DD (5.1) audio if available from the source.
Did I miss something cuz I didn’t hear him say how to get box or app or ?
Thank you for this review! I'll be getting this!
You're welcome, Tiffany!
it's 25 bucks now.
15 for tmobile subscribers
How do we use that
Yea 🤔Is It Worth It. That's a lot Of Money.
15 with tmobile
It's 15.00 mo a year if your cell is through t mobile but only for a year. Then $25
great job
Thank you!
Yes nice service just needs a mini guide instead of full guide taken up the whole screen. But the dvr is nice one click and right of the commercials you don't even see them in the thumbnails view that the way a dvr should work. And if you go on Twitter or reddit and ask questions the ceo of philo will actually respond and not just a generic response either hands on owner wish other services would have this kind of leadership.
Do they have you local news channels like wgn fox nbc etc
No local channels unfortunately. I made a separate video on watching local channels here, though: ruclips.net/video/qfIrkxEi7-w/видео.html
fair service but streaming networks block selective programming
Do you get the USA and FOX channels?
No USA. Doesn't include the local channels so no FOX. For those your best bet would be to get an antenna for local channels and Sling for USA.
You get fox and usa on slingtv
I have t mobile do you know if i can still get a discount? I was looking and can't see how too get a discount with t mobile i guess the don't do it anymore
It's not looking like that deal is still active. This video is older so some of the info is out of date now. I'll make an updated video about Philo sometime within the next couple of months. I know T Mobile has deals now on Netflix, Apple TV+, and Hulu, though.
@@ShallIStreamIt ok thanks and for the quick response 👍🏻
You’re welcome!
Do they have local channels, abc, cbs, fix etc?
No local channels unfortunately. I’ve made a separate video about it streaming options for local channels here, though:
ruclips.net/video/qfIrkxEi7-w/видео.html
Do they send you a dvr?
It’s all over the internet. A “cloud” DVR.
Do they offer ABC, CBS, NBC...?
Nope. You’ll need an antenna for that.
Getting a digital antenna is easy. They are a billion times better than old analog rabbit ears.
Over the air is free too. No need to pay for it.
(Free as in you already pay for it)
@@BoilingDietCoke ...and the HD picture is amazing compared to so called "fiber optics".
Does this come with wifi?
Huh???
Can you watch soccer on it ?
Local news channels?
No local channels. You'll need an antenna for that. Made a video about it here: ruclips.net/video/FaZ0TwJe4qI/видео.html
If you're looking for just news specifically, though, you can watch local news for free pretty easily. Here's a video about that, too: ruclips.net/video/zPw8iHAbolY/видео.html
Hulu is ridiculous in price $102
Shit that is Comcast Cable price
Why has it been lagging lately. Peacock puts their
Is Cartoon Network on there.
😂😂
Not much live news unless you pay about 60a month
✔️
Now it's $25.00 per month....
LG TV needs a fire stick... err
may have metv decade heros icon now but $600 a year not happening
Folks the real elephant in the room here is high speed Internet it’s terribly expensive it’s just about cost prohibitive and it’s only worth about half of what they’re asking for it countries in Europe don’t pay near as much as we do and they have far better Internet were being ripped off because to a large extent high-speed Internet in this country is controlled by a monopoly.
Great Deal...if u can stand the constant bombardment of bullshit commercials...sometimes back to back to back...amazing! and, as an added BONUS, u get to PAY for it! If u want LIVE TV...buy an antenna! Lot cheaper!
Philo SUCKS 7 minutes of commercials every 10 minutes f that
Dvr everything unlimited space and 1 year retention. Commercials are on every live service and cable.
@@shawnholiday2123 what DVR do you use? And I have discovery they have zero commercials
Why is yours the most down voted comment lol. It looks like it's the most helpful one m
trash no channels no locals
Why is there a low cost way to stream. Streaming is supposed to be the low cost version of cable
🎃
I mean it still is. Even the more expensive streaming options are cheaper than the average cable package.
