Sacrificial Dagger used to have 225 DPS before Repentance.
Literally for melting bosses.
I like the fly progression
Forever alone - 30 dps, is farthest away from you
Friend zone - 45 dps, is closer to you
Distant admiration - 75 dps, is closer to you
Best bud - 150 dps and spins really fast
We need to have a challenge where you cant shoot but you have every orbital in the game as tainted lost
Closest thing I have for you is the Solar System Challenge
Well if every lemegaton wisp counts as one orbital, I'm pretty confident I can beat it
Psy Fly, Bot Fly and Lilith box (If you somehow get it) will make this challenge 20 times easier
And add spin to win in the active slot so you can run through enemies

Distant Admiration is unironically one of the best orbitals in the game, it has carried me so many times.
I didn't realize how nutso the fly orbitals were until they were compared against other orbitals. Not only do they do some of the most damage, they're so much easier to use because of their distance.
Distant admirations is actually kind of broken imo, it deals so much and at a decent distance
I also like how they are all named after social concepts
While they don't deal damage to most enemies, you've now made me curious about where on the scale the black fly orbitals from Halo of Flies, Pretty Fly pills, and the Slot Machine lies. They typically kill the basic fly enemies near instantly, so they're probably better than Tinytoma or Bot Fly, but I'm curious to see by how much.
What's interesting about them is that they don't deal any damage to flies either. They're coded so that whenever they come in contact with a fly enemy, it is instantly killed - no actual damage is dealt here (damage is 0) so putting them on the list isn't very suitable.
gnawed leaf + sacrificial dagger/ mom's knife is my favorite combo to beat mother
Psy fly is definitely still the best, which is funny considering how nerfed it is, but I am a certified guillotine enjoyer since its repentance buff. The stat boosts are usually worth it in my opinion, and the orbital is one of those that ignores the usual limit of 3 which is nice. Also there are a lot of builds that mitigate the need to adjust your aim, or completely remove it like knife/sword.
Lilith is my favorite character though and I think liking the two is probably related since they both change where you shoot from. Also, if you are playing Lilith the item is a no brainer, just a substantial damage up and tear delay down, plus a good orbital that you can double with B.O.F. as many times as you want because it ignores the usual limit, and it has no effect on where your tears come from.
Idk if you forgot abou the tonsil trinket but that also gives you an orbital

Vengeful spirit’s dps also scales with floor, so it can unironically hold its own in later floors

It was taken down in 1.7.6 or 1.7.7 because it was too OP

11:30 Inf damage and 0 ticks between damage? There's some bugs that need fixing
That's because the 10-lines-of-code mod I made counts the ticks between each damage done from any source, so having multiple sources of damage at the same time can cause multiple ticks of damage happening at the same time, thus the mod calculating 0 (or inf).

useing duck tape probably would have been useful
why didnt you use the duct tape trinket on all orbitals to get more consistent results?

That one isn't an orbital. It deals 70 DPS.
What about lost fly or did is it gone from the game?
Lost Fly is not an orbital. It moves around the corners of the room. The DPS is 30 if you're curious.

You could use ducktape to stop spinning orbitals from spinning btw
Some of this item are so weak that become almost unseen
... Where is halo of flies and the swamp (I they deal damage to small flies so technically they are the worst)
They will straight up insta-kill fly enemies but other then that no damage.
They don't actually deal damage. It's more of an insta-kill so I don't think it would be correct to include them.
You forgot to say something about meat boy/bandage girl 2nd lvl. Does anything changes there comparing to lvl 1?
